Not much else to say other than "it is morbing time." There was a brief point where Troll 2 was close to Cats so that can be the honorary 5th place. Tiebreaker was really close the entire day, Blue Shell was trailing several times before finally overtaking the Keyblade late last night. Only Whitney has an original pokemon that is not an evolved form of another pokemon from Gen 1, and Whitney's Miltank is super memorable. Umbreon is the more popular eeveeloution. And it represents the additional evolutions given to forms, which make up a lot of gen 2 pokemon. Togepi represents the baby pokemon which make up a not insignificant portion of pokemon in this generation. Lugia and Ho-Oh started the trend of Box art legendaries. Pichu (i don't feel very confident about it, without smash ultimate i'd say he's not there now, but since he is...) i think suicune is damn close but not close enough (being competitive meta in gen 2/3 is good and being box legendary of crystal is significant too, but not as much as ho-oh and lugia's bigger box legendary statuses (and anime/movie roles) and celebi's movie boost (plus being equally competitive-relevant)), and esp/umb (~~obv reasons, being the most popular eeveelutions besides maybe sylveon or vaporeon, they even have strong presence in spinoffs~~) are in contention for sure too. also raikou and entei are somewhere around top 10 at least (~~boosted by ova and movie relevance compared to sui~~) along with ttar (~~thanks to long standing competitive relevance and also presence in stuff like unite~~) and wobbuffet (~~90% thanks to the recognisability from the anime after all this time~~). marill and togepi might also be around there too but i def don't think they have enough factors to push them any higher than that really <cite>UF8 posted [p:978893445] in What four ... Suicine is Pokemon Crystal, the best known of the dogs, is an actual dog, and was always competitive. Togepi is anime and baby forms which were introduced here. it represents an entire new mechanic. last slot honestly depends on a mix of Smash, media, competitive play, casual play, anime, and general love with the fanbase. ultimately i'll give it to one of the most popular Eeveelutions as it kinda rounds out most of those categories, especially as Eevee has remained popular enough to still have a game of its own.
