Has Kizaru been fleshed out more over the last 14 years? The match was back in 2009 and people kept saying they didn't know how various things worked because they weren't explained yet (like Haki, I think).

Kizaru not so much, but One Piece's power system, yes. Basically if you don't have Haki you're not hitting Kizaru, and you need haki to coat your weapons in order to hit Logia devil fruit users.

Oddly enough we're on the verge of getting a major battle for Kizaru in the manga right now that'll probably clarify a lot of his abilities.

Then yeah, watching UBW next and the Heaven's Feel movies after is the way, and anything beyond that is, uhh, highly questionable until/unless the coming Strange Fake anime turns out good.

As someone who played and loved the VN I actually would just recommend people watch the UBW anime. It's not quite as good but man it's really good and you don't have to sit through all the junk as SD said.

Also I watched the end of F/Z last night. God, Iskandur is such a bro. I teared up at the end of that bit, esp with Gil recognizing Waver's loyalty.

And then I felt so terrible for Kiritsugu. I was a bit confused but I looked some stuff up on the wiki, got spoiler'd a little but I never care about that stuff. It made more sense what was going on when the mud happened though.

But the biggest thing was how they did villainy so well with Kotomine. The way this man smiled giving Rin that dagger is absolute PEAK levels of menace. I cannot WAIT for that man to get what's coming to him (he does, right? RIGHT?)

And I watched the first episode of UBW right after. Hearing Sukuna's voice actor out of Archer was a TRIP lmao.

Think it's been billed as an Action RPG. It's being developed with Koei Tecmo's Omega Force (Dynasty Warriors.)

I haven't looked into it much at all though so that's all I know.

This means nothing to me, but I looked up some gameplay stuff and it looks really cool. It seems they're focusing a lot on the relationship between Servant/Master which is what is great about this series in the first place. Also Gil is a shop owner lmao

You don't know about Dynasty Warriors??

In fairness, Omega Force can drift away from strictly musou gameplay - P5 Strikers is a great example of this and Samurai Remnant looks like it might have combat that's even more small scale than that.

I have no idea how to gauge Musashi from a powe level standpoint.
She's one of my favourite servants, but she's as far as I know not a grand servant.

She's got some impressive feats, but other servants have done more. I see her as more cool and fun than strong.

This show is absolutely phenomenal. The character interactions are all so good, then you throw in the god tier UFOtable fight scenes. I'm hooked.

I was gonna try to get my gf to watch these with me, but idk if I can sit through all of Fate/Zero again coz it's got nothing on this.

I think F/Z establishes the world and the rules a lot better. F/SN would've been a lot more confusing if I hadn't been grounded in the world by F/Z first. Also would miss out on the Iskandur bro goodness.

But yeah that Fate route sounds really bad compared to what I've seen so far.

Anime is the way to go for UBW because they give Shirou a cool jacket to cover he lame ass long-sleeve shirt. Love that jacket.

Just don't go watch the UBW movie after on accident thinking it's more of this. Had a friend fire that up for 10 minutes for texting me being very confused.

But yeah it's this and then Heaven's Feel movie Trilogy and then....stop...for Fate anime? There are a couple other OK ones, but nothing that even remotely compares. You'd be better off jumping straight into Kara no Kyoukai for more Ufotable adaptations of Nasu stories.

Rin is a flowchart character. Do you like the tsundere archetype? Then you'll like her. Do you not? Then you won't see what the big deal is.

Sakura is definitely the best waifu for Shirou.

Rin's great though. Extremely funny character. I think a lot of her comedy doesn't make it into the anime.

Basically every character is worse in the anime (mostly Shirou), but that's just the pitfall of adapting something with lots of words into a relatively short time frame.

I don't understand why Leon said he didn't like Kiritsugu and the general distaste for him I see online.

He was congruent the whole way through, and the only reason he "failed" in the end was because the Grail was tainted from the previous War (I got spoiled on that).

I'd probably hate Kiritsugu less if he weren't the protagonist because I can't root for the crap he does, but thankfully the show pointed out how much he sucked at the end.
