Thirty two rap battles earned their place through your nominations and now one has emerged as the victor.

But who won?

And the winner, with 21 votes, is:

Thank you everyone for voting! I love this series so I'm so glad to get good amount of votes for basically every battle!

King vs. Poe is a great battle and IMO it deserves a win, though it's not, like, a personal favorite. I hope this series introduced the featured ERBs to new listeners, or perhaps allowed for new appreciation of them.

And to @_Blur_ I'm sorry that I just saw your post, but that's a great idea about extending the voting time for the semifinals/finals. Hopefully you enjoyed the rounds where you got to vote nonetheless.

Great result. Was my favorite in the bracket by a comfortable margin. Great contest idea too had a good time watching these and actually watched a few that weren't in the bracket too.

Great final. Even though I voted East/West, I have no problem with this outcome. Its almost kinda nice that a traditional ERB won

though major respect to the guy who does Poe who I think only did that, Shakespeare and one of the Doctors? He should've been in more, like maybe not Zach Sherwin level but more than just 3 appearances, geez...

King/Poe winner makes me feel better about the Vader/Hitler blowout, and Philosophers probably in the low 20s of the 32 that made the contest for me so good outcome. Though it makes Gordon Ramsay/Julia Child the ultimate loser. It truly deserved better!!

King won.

I've stated my disinterest with this champion in previous voting threads. I'll just allude to that rather than repeating myself.

I'm fine with the winner. Poe/King is one that I hadn't paid much attention to before the tournament, and it grew on me a lot as the tournament went on.

While I know that X-Stats aren't the most mathematically sound thing to do for a contest like this, I wanted to see what they would look like anyway. The results sure are... something.

1. Poe/King - 50.00
2. Alexander/Ivan - 45.00
3. Philosophers - 43.24
4. Jordan/Ali - 37.60
5. Thanos/Oppenheimer - 31.76
6. Jack/Lecter - 29.90
7. Directors - 29.41
8. Fawkes/Che - 28.83
9. Deadpool/Fett - 27.03
10. Newton/Nye - 26.47
11. Henson/Lee - 25.44
12. Hawk/Gretzky - 23.17
12. Joker/Pennywise - 23.17
14. Zeus/Thor - 22.22
15. Einstein/Hawking - 21.62
16. Potter/Skywalker - 21.38
17. Mario Bros./Wright Bros. - 20.35
18. WW/Stevie Wonder - 20.27
19. Roosevelt/Churchill - 19.66
20. Batman/Sherlock - 19.08
21. Rick/Walter - 17.78
22. Ramsay/Child - 15.09
23. Jobs/Gates - 14.71
24. Artists/TMNT - 13.84
25. Dracula/Vlad - 13.73
26. Ash/Darwin - 13.07
27. Bond/Powers - 11.20
28. Napoleon/Napoleon - 11.10
29. Vader/Hitler - 10.00
30. Zulu/Caesar - 7.91
31. Russians - 3.68
32. Ruth/Armstrong - 3.27

There are three first-round exits in the top ten (two in the top six!), and they seem to mainly there because they lost to one of the only two battles to play King/Poe anywhere close: Philosophers and Ivan vs. The Greats. (Jack the ripper barely lost to Thanos/Oppenheimer, but it lost to Ivan vs. The Greats and didn't get blown out). In general there weren't a lot of close matches, with the exception being the second quartile of the bracket which had a ton of them. So while it's hard to say this represents any kind of true ranking, I thought it was interesting nonetheless.

I suspected the final brought in some people who never vote that voted disproportionately for Philosophers and I think those lol x-stats certainly suggest it. A lot of the bottom half that were well regarded by regular voters like Jobs/Gates and Artists/TMNT look super weak now

Well, that was a landslide victory, King totally shut down Poe. Votes, money, success? Poe'll always have less. Nevermore!

Thank you for the X-stats! I personally don't really understand them but I'm so happy to see this tradition, really feels like B8.
