Yeah theres something weird about double on-reveals, like if you use Scarlet Witch on Kamar-Taj shell activate twice even though the effect should be gone after she changes the location once

Depends on why you play. Purely based on efficiency for advancing your Collection Level, buying missions is the way.

Personally I have not spent a single Gold since starting the game. I am 100% F2P, and currently have 7550G

Buying missions with gold instead of just buying credits with gold is basically the same. The only thing you're getting with buying missions is an extra 150 season pass XP, otherwise it's the same amount of gold.

So yeah if you REALLY want to min/max to get an extra 2-4 levels of the season pass in a month then yeah spend your gold on that.

Personally I preferred just buying credits when I was trying to get more cards because I didn't have to deal with any potential stupid missions like win a lane with 4 cards or whatever.

But yeah just spend it however you want, you'll probably have most of the cards in 6 months anyway.

The first Rogue steals one Patriots Ongoing, then three copies of that Rogue with Patriots Ongoing are created

Poor guy, we got Lamentis on first location reveal and I snapped right away because I had Moon Girl. As I learned over the next three turns, the only cards he drew were discards, with none of the cards that benefit from a discard. He didnt retreat, he just played the first three cards he could which discarded the other three and then just passed every turn after that

he emoted once so I even know it wasnt a bot!

Surfer: 3/2 Buffs by 2
Zabu: 2 cost, reduces 4 costs by 1

Surfer will still be pretty good I think, Zabu gets hurt a good bit. Can't play two 4-costs on 4 or 5 anymore. Might still be a good card but the decks built around it will probably have to be significantly different.

Those both sound good; Zabu now allows a turn 3 4-cost play but goes from letting you play 7 to 5 total 4-costs, and I think a lot of the damage is from being able to double up in round 4 and 5 (nightmares like the double Spider-Man combo on turn 5). Still seems powerful but not excessively so.

Hey good for them this is actually the nerf I pitched and thought was best.

Surfer I hadn't thought of much but I kinda think 3/3 is where he should be if you go with that effect.

Ironically Zabu probably sees more use from me in that form. I'd much rather have 4 drops on turn 3 for most decks I'm playing.

Zabu -> Mystique gets you back to where we were, but less consistent

But without mystique you've dropped the maximum mana save from 14 to 5, so that's a huge drop yikes

I basically see him as a less versatile psylocke now. Don't think you'll be seeing nearly as many decks that are built to abuse zabu.

But the Mystique thing is a silver lining. If you drop him and mystique you still get full function of old Zabu so that's actually kinda cool, and the costs of him and Mystique do allow that with the same turn tempo if you happen to draw both.

oh, just realized this makes Zabu better for Mr. Negative, I might try that now.

More card reviews/thoughts (I'm so close to done with series 3 now I've gotta finish these up)

Captain Marvel - I kinda want to make a Cerebro 6 deck with her. I am doing that with Hela but it doesn't quite work. As is I don't feel she's better enough than Vision to be all that exciting. Running BOTH might be fun.

Quinjet - What a fun card. I just like how versatile it is-- like you can just throw it in decks that grab a bunch of cards from outside your deck and it's nice if you draw it but not deck killing if you don't. This was a great get.

Quake - I want to use her but I don't really see how. Just seems like

Baron Mordo - I think a deck built around spamming this guy could be fun, he's low cost enough that you could get a few activations off with Beast and Wong and stuff. I'll wait till the rumored Master Mold card and run those two + Ronan.

She-Hulk - Fun card, shame I got her as a series 4 drop. I kinda want to try a silly Moon Girl deck that uses her.

Dr Octopus - One of the main series 3 cards I wanted early but didn't see him early enough that I decided to stop splurging with tokens. Already loving this guy. I've made a spidey + x-men villain deck designed to just screw with the opponent. I love Psylocke turn 3 -> Doc Ock turn 4 it's so dickish. I mean sometimes I get clowned with an infininaut or something but it works more often than not.

Zero - I am interested in using him but I'll need more than blanking Ebony Maw.

Drax - I love Drax in the MCU. I see myself using him when they fix Zabu. Hoping someday we get a Batista looking variant.

Magik - I'd wanted her for a while but not sure what to do with her. Omega Red wombo combo deck got old quick (I have one that uses Omega Red + Iron Man + Onslaught and that alone tends to work better than shoehorning Mystique in).

Adam Warlock - I'll probably use him when I play around with Mr Negative again. I probably should try the above mentioned wombo deck again now that I have him + Sera + Magik-- only tried it before with just Magik.

Wave - I messed around with an Agatha deck a bit when I got her. It actually isn't too bad. I can actually do Death Wave now and She-Hulk buffoonery with Moon Girl. I've seen her used so much though that I'm not like super hyped for her. But she's a tool I'll use eventually.

Ronan - Excited to build a deck for this guy. But I don't want to do it till I have all the pieces.

Electro - He's fun. I've been enjoying sending him over with Viper, though it's not like always a braindead move to do because you're basically using 5 energy to do that unless a cost reduction card is out. I do think with Sera it becomes more interesting to actually do this maneuver.

M'Baku - Kinda disappointing series 4 but I want to use him. Time to make a lockjaw deck.

Sera - Seems generally useful but I haven't had any inspiration to actually use her. Maybe I should chuck her in my random deck and see what happens. What are cool things to do with Sera offhand?

MBaku is unironically so fun in a Cerebro 2 Lockjaw deck.

Quinjet's great because it works on some things you might not first expect, like Thanos gems

Meh, maybe. But I built it around mostly with Korg, Rock Slide, Mordo, and Maximus, and probably a couple others I don't remember, and it just didn't feel great. Master Mold would help though.

Sera helps make Bishop a beast after Turn 6, especially with Mysterio

Makes Zabu another narrow-use ramper, p boring

Trying to think of the perfect Zabu curve now.

1 - Iceman or whatever
2 - Zabu
3 - Shuri
4 - Typhoid Mary + Zero
5 - Red Skull
6 - Arnim Zola on Typhoid Mary?

That puts about 35 in lane 1 and about 30 in lane 2. You could also plan to Zola the Red Skull instead so that you don't get double Typhoid lowered.

Compared to the deck I'm playing now it really only changes that I'm not able to slot Armor or Enchantress in as effectively. Also having to draw Zabu 1 turn earlier to be most efficient makes it a lot less consistent.

Maybe an overreaction from me but yeah I think this probably kills most of the current Zabu decks. But I could see some niche decks popping up like Zabu negative. But Zabu is basically just another Psylocke in that deck lol.

you know all things considered I was intially sad Iceman was only a 1 cost but ultimately he has a place in basically every deck in the game so I can't complain

you discard left to right apparently, so Swarm tried to give two copies but his hand was full so it only gave 1, and then helicarrier did the same thing and only gave 1 card because of it

A location that does Lockjaw, hell yeah.

Ive got some fun ones:

Sinister Six Hideout: At the end of Turn 3, the winning player fills this location.

Asgardian Skiff: At the beginning of Turn 6, swap the cards on this location with ones from the players hand.

Primordial Void: When a card is destroyed at this location, divide its power between the other two locations.

I am very tempted to get this season pass for MODOK.

Just got Arnim Zola- any tips for building a deck with him?

Use Electro to get another 6 drop like Magneto on turn 5 with him. .

Or my absolute favorite combo (that will happen like 1/50 games):

Turn 3: Electro
Turn 4: Black Panther
Turn 5: Arnim Zola on Black Panther (puts 16 power Panthers in both lanes)
Turn 6: Odin on Arnim Zola

Odin triggers Arnim's ability which puts 2 Odins in the other lanes which turns both of the Panthers into 32 power + 8 from Odin and whatever else you've got there.

Sadly I dont have Black Panther

Lessons Ive learned. Galactus gives no fucks about your Armor location. Lost myself a match with that stupidity

He also doesn't care about your Colossus or Professor X

Wolverine will jump to the Galactus location though
