Been having fun with Arnim Zola, Red Skull and Zero

I don't think you realize how bad your day of Marvel Snap is going until you win a game and see the mission pop to say you've won 4 games today.

I've been playing for like 2 hours!

There is a use for fast upgrade - when you play so occasionally that your credit acquisition rate is higher than the credit spend rate due to boosters. If you play just enough to finish all your daily missions and that's it, you can start to accumulate credits, so the fast upgrade is fine.

It feels pretty great to win a match because of a card you stole from your opponent. Cable literally won me this match because of that. He stole Ultron and my opponent snapped like turn 4 because he was sure hed win with the locations and what he had played.

woohoo! i was saving up collector tokens for Shuri (2000/3000 thus far!) but I just pulled her out of a collector's reserve instead!

time to figure out which other series 4 card i want!

also if anybody wants to do some friendly battles i'd be down sometime. could even do a card draft format if that sounds more fun than playing established decks

I've been seeing so many double goblins lately.

okay my shuri deck just straight up prints cubes for free, this card is definitely too strong

Something I've seen more lately is Shuri on 4, skip turn 5, 18 power She-Hulk + Taskmaster on turn 6.

Seems pretty hard to counter because even with Cosmo it's a 50/50 which lane they're going to play Taskmaster. Shang-Chi not going to work because if they skipped turn 5 they're going to reveal 2nd on turn 6 most likely.

I have both She-Hulk + Taskmaster and Arnim Zola in the deck as separate wincons. As well as armor and cosmo to stop shang-chi (it also stops your own taskmaster and arnim but you can play around that fairly easily)

if i had sauron i would replace cosmo with that but as it stands it's already incredibly strong

Shuri should just be Forge on crack. Like +5 or +6 flat. Doubling is too beefy with Red Skull or a bunch of 6 drops.

that might be too insane for brood. i think making her 5 energy probably kills the card. maybe give her -2 or -3 power herself? not sure how to fix effectively

Just change it to double the next card you play in her lane. Now it's super easy to know where they're going to play their big card next turn.

Knowledge of where your opponent is going to play next turn is a downside they need to utilize more in this game. Hawkeye, Jessica Jones, Rescue are some examples.

And so it's not actually a buff you could phrase it like this

On Reveal: If the next card you play is played in this lane, double it's power

That way if you play a card in a different lane it wastes the buff.

Also eliminates Arnim Zola synergy because the lane will always have Shuri + the buffed card.

maybe the answer is just printing more cards with effects to counter hers (valkyrie, shadow king, etc.)

but actually put them on good cards (valkyrie) and not bad cards (shadow king) and also put them in pool 3 and not pool 5

that's pretty good too, you can't set up cosmo because then shuri can't activate herself

or you could say "the next card added to this lane on your side has its power doubled" so there's hobgoblin / green goblin / debris synergy too if you don't have prio

Her power is a small part of the puzzle. The problem is when she's giving more than +8 I feel because then you're getting way more beef than a 4 drop should give you. I guess you could go like "The Hood" style but then she becomes too weak if you aren't actually abusing her.

Double power, maximum +8 or something might be fine, but it feels clunky to me to word it that way.

I honestly like the idea of the buff being based on the number of cards you have on the field or in hand when you play her, but that might be too weak (and still is problematic with Brood). You could buff her base power to compensate though.

Oh I like the "next card in this lane is doubled" idea actually. That's pretty slick.

I played against a new level of pain. Psylocke > Wong > Mystique > Hazmat. Watched my whole board drop to negative scores :(

Yeah if you ever see a situation where Mystique copies Wong just get out lol. It could have also been Gambit which destroys your whole board.

this deck is super fun to play if you happen to pull luke cage, throw in debris and black widow and your opponent barely even gets to play their own cards

Having the counters to it makes for a fun match Im sure, but I had none. Probably no deck that can handle every situation, but the level of play was brutal haha. I dont have Cage, Debris or Widow

Yeah I've never tried it myself but it's just a port of the mobile version currently I believe. So it might be a little weird compared to a real PC version.

But a real PC version with widescreen support and stuff is coming later this year I believe.

Those trackers are actually pretty useful right now since many times if someone plays MODOK their discards get fast-forwarded through, but the tracker can still see what they discarded. That way you know whether they had Swarm and how big their Apocalypse is

Or at least the one by Untapped does that, not sure on the snapzone one

Actually I'm not sure if Apocalypse shows up in the tracker like that, probably not. But the fact that you don't see their Apocalypse during the fast-forward is a problem either way

That's what I was going to say, specifically because Shadow King is coming out which can be a strong counter

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the best way to get cubes in this game is to just throw Shang-Chi into random decks where he doesn't belong. I've lost to so many random Shang-Chi plays on turn 6 I've lost count.

Building a Kazar Zoo deck? Put in Shang-Chi

Move deck? Shang-Chi

Cerebro 2 deck? I don't care, put in Shang-Chi

Shang Chi is a staple

Shadow King is already out and basically none of the high level players who can get series 5 cards right away use it, they say it's just a worse Valkyrie

And yeah Shadow King seems DOA in his current state. He needs to cost 1 or 2 with that effect, I don't understand why he's a 4/3.

only Aero is usually able to beat me, or if they somehow don't have priority on final turn they can Shang Chi

I don't have Invisible Woman, but apparently there's another nasty deck floating around now.

Invisible Woman > MODOK > Hela

And then load up the rest of your deck with 6 energy high power cards, so MODOK nukes them all post-game and then Hela just loads them back up. With Magik as a back up card to get another draw on Turn 7.

Thats when you start bringing Polaris to move the Invisible Woman

Or just Cosmo the Invisible Woman lane.

But that combo existed before MODOK. You'd just use Hell Cow and another discard but MODOK let's you discard more stuff.

Zoo decks are very strong in Series 1

They instantly become unviable in Series 2 thanks to Killmonger

Yeah just need to hold on until you get Killmonger then that deck is bad for a while.

Not sure if you've seen that card yet but it's a 3/3 that kills all of the 1 drops on the board.

Back in the beta Killmonger was a series 3 card looool

Imagine not unlocking Killmonger until CL3000 for some people. They dropped him down to series 2 because people complained enough.
