Wave is really only worth it if you have She-Hulk and Death and that deck has kinda fallen off in popularity because it's pretty easy to counter.

Although one of the counters was Leader so it might start popping up again.

I would only spend tokens on a card if I'm excited to use that card

Wave has way more uses than just Deathwave. There's the Widow->Wave->Odin combo that's been discussed in a previous thread, Galactus and Agatha use her, it works as a tech card if you know your opponent is planning on playing multiple cards, etc

I don't know much about Mr Negative from the comics, just the PS4 game, but I think that demon form looks kinda silly. He's got a nose in the middle of his chest lol

I wonder what would happen if you (somehow) ran out of 700 cost variants to get in caches

I assume youd just start getting only the other cosmetics (avatars/titles). Im pretty sure every single variant also gets an avatar so I think its probably impossible to run out of cosmetics

Cant wait to see how the MODOK Avatars are framed

My variant selection is usually 4 pixels and then some not great looking ones.

Got my 2nd Series 4 drop from the Collection Level path, and I am very pleased

I had a game earlier where someone was setting up a pretty obvious Venom + Zola play to put his 20 power Venom into the two left lanes.

I didn't have priority going into the last turn so I used Enchantress + Shang-Chi (discounted by Zabu) to kill his Venom in a lane where I dropped an Armor earlier.

Zabu sets up so many interesting little scenarios like that and I felt so good predicting his play and having such a cool counter setup.

does Zola work if he doesn't destroy the card?

does not

the tricky thing is that any obvious Zola play could also be a Taskmaster play

Whenever Im like 5/10 on my way to tier 50 I go on a losing streak :(

I should clarify I killed one of the new Venoms in a lane that had Armor. If I had priority then yeah I would have just killed the original Venom.

Best flavor win. His lane had Sif Green Goblin and my Titania. I play Hobgoblin and he plays Spider-Man center. Spider-Man webs the lane and sends Titania over, Hobgoblin decides to join Green Goblin making Spider-Man hate life.

Spider-Man is LIVID. Dude said "I don't believe you" and retreated.

I had that happen one time and had to do a double take

Its funny because turn 2 I got Sunspot and played him and Agent 13 to wind up with a second Sunspot. What are the fucking odds

Maybe Ill actually hit tier 50 today. Hoping to anyways. Close matches usually end in me losing to a card I didnt expect or thinking too much and outplaying myself.

It should have been obvious from the wording of the texts, but I just learned Captain Marvel moves after Rickety Bridge checks if there is more than one card there, so she can move there without anything getting destroyed

I found a fun card location interaction.

If you have Lockjaw on Danger Room and a card you play gets destroyed, it still replaces it with something from your deck.

Apparently the location that turns your cards into a symbiote ignores if your Lizard had its power reduced because the opponent has 4 cards and their side.

I would have won the location and the game if the symbiote was 2 instead of 5 power :(

If I remember correctly that location gains their original power, so anything that boosts or lowers them in unaffected when eaten.

I believe it does

The reason Lizard can surprise you is the sides get eaten in priority order. So if your side becomes symbiote first now by the time Lizards side becomes a symbiote your side is no longer full as they've all merged. If Lizard's side became symbiote first it'd work how you expect

Sakaar pulled Jubilee from the opponent's hand, which pulled Arnim Zola who destroys a random card and puts it in the other two locations. Only Jubilee was there so it created Jubilee in the other two zones

In the third location Jubilee pulled Odin who let her activate again and pull Doctor Doom

I think one of the recent patches fixed it but this used to cause weird things where your destroyed card that was sent back to the deck could still be called up by Lockjaw afterward if you played another card there, and if so it would have zero power or something like that

It ignores Ongoing effects, because they no longer exist when the card is merged. If the card was boosted by like Forge or something, that would still be added to the symbiote

Oh, wow thats crazy. This game has all kinds of potential

And all of that happened before the game actually started

Usually when that comes up for me it plays something pretty weak like Sentinel

I have an uncanny ability for that location to drop their Iron Man and my Professor X or Hobgoblin

They usually just retreat

On the flip side X-Mansion always buries me. I just posted that one where it literally handed the game to the opponent by putting Ebony Maw on my side. That's typical.

Free 200 credits for some kind of error I never experienced. Ill take it

I had an issue yesterday where the match just got stuck, and nothing could escape it. Resetting the app, retreating, nothing could get me out of the game. I think that might be what it was

I had to look up a solution online (log out, and play through the tutorial without logging in, then log in again)

Love that I still occasionally get one of those instant retreats after a turn 1 Iceman

Stick a Heimdall in decks that he doesnt fit into

People NEVER expect it

Honestly its the only time he does make sense to play

If I see more than one move card I assume you are likely to play Heimdall on turn 6 and will act accordingly
