it's random, you won't know if it's worth it until you get it. Might get that anime Jubilee or you might get shitty pixel version of something

Or a Mysterio variant which is basically useless, it only turns into the variant art at the end of the game

If youre CL 425 youre not even into series 3 yet so theres no way youd be matched with anyone at CL1000+

You might go up against people with a handful of series 3 cards once in a while but definitely not anyone with titles

Titania - She seems kinda cool. Not just for Galactus cheese but to pair with any character vs a 3 guy lane to take it back with one more drop. (If they fill the lane you get 5 power for 1, great!)

Hazmat - I kinda wanna make a dickish negative power deck. I passed on Luke Cage a while back but yeah when I get the pieces.

Arnim Zola - Gonna use him in my Mr Negative Deck. Going to be exciting to use him in a deck that DOESN'T just abuse Black Panther. Best one of the lot.

I'm pretty sure that bots have titles now so it's probably bots.

Hadnt thought about Iceman on Bar Sinister for the cost increases, then Killmonger to clear it out for another card. I have both in my deck and just suddenly realized it could be a thing. Also serves as Goblin defense if you wait a few turns before killing Iceman

A heads up if youre thinking of playing Captain Marvel on Bar Sinister, they dont think collectively so they arent going to move if youre behind by more than one Captain Marvels worth of power. Just had an opponent play that against me, they wouldve had to move two of her to win but they all stayed put.

An interesting play I saw today was someone playing Vision on Bar Sinister. So he could move them to other lanes on 6 and playing something else in Bar Sinister.

I couldn't compete with the free 14 power getting added to his other two lanes on turn 6.

Someone tried that with me too but I was able to beat him still because the rest of his locations were weaker.

Yeah but I'm only 50 levels from series 3. If breaking past that limit gets me level 1000+ people then I'm gonna chill for a bit.

its not a bad idea to build up a bunch of credits so that you can get multiple series 3 cards right at the start. There is a limit, once you have over 5000 credits you cant earn anymore (those 50 credit prizes on the CL track can remain unclaimed though)

I think they increased the limit to 6000 at least, because I was definitely still getting credits over 5000 without being told to spend them like before

I wonder if they dropped that whole thing once they were selling a 9500 credit bundle?

Credit limit is 10k now.

btw Lopen said he rotated out cards occasionally to level up faster. Is there actually a reason for that? All the qualities after the first one are the same ratio of creds and boosters to levels. It just takes longer to get 50 entire boosters on one card. So the time variance between leveling up changes but the average rate is the same.

It really only matters for the first level up from common to uncommon. If you have a bunch of common cards sitting in your box then yeah spending a few games to level them up might be worth it. But otherwise no it's not really worth it.

You get a ton of random boosters from leveling up that it's kind of a waste though. I'm sitting on so many I haven't bothered to upgrade. I save them for when I upgrade a variant or infinity I like so I always have an even number of levels though.

Upgrading the same card over and over technically helps you because once its fully upgraded you get an infinity split version that starts out unupgraded, so youll get that 25 credit savings again

but that takes a long time for any card other than Agatha Harkness

I just rotate out new cards to frame break. 25 credits for 1 collector level, 50 credits per collector level for others.

Once I've frame broke I don't care about rotating.

Another edge case thing I just learned thanks to my deck getting replaced with random cards: the Illusions from Mysterio count as played cards, so itll fuck with Jessica Jones. Still won though!

Hard to be worth it without Mysterio

I find having more success in the Bar Sinister locations to using them with a buffing champ and then winning the other two lanes handily since I noticed a lot of people try to use it to disrupt or toss a bunch of power into it.

I got 6000 due to reaching collector level 1000.

Down to 2000 (2200 actually) now.

Last 2 picks are probably going to be devoted to Omega Red and Hela but yeah we'll see. I might just settle for one of the two and start saving up tokens for a series 4/5 card I want.

Really funny win. I had Titania screwing up his Cerebro jammed in lane 2 with a 1 on his side and was winning lane 1 and 2 with Mantis and Rocket (he had full lanes in the left 2 that Killmonger emptied out). He used Killmonger to counter turn 6 and was left with this board state-- it's doubly funny because as foolmo often says if the dude used simple math he would have realized he literally made the game unwinnable with Killmonger. But he was also down too much in lane 1 to win without getting rid of Titania-- still think he should have just retreated though (or just played things in lane 3 and hoped I couldn't outpower)

Turn 1 opponent plays Angel okay, probably a Destroy deck
Turn 2 location reveal is World Ship, so I play Armor there and snap. Opponent plays Wolverine and retreats before Turn 3 starts

So yeah Titania then Green Goblin is super good play on turn 4 against any lane with 2 guys in it if you reveal second.

If they play one guy, Goblin flies over and you keep Titania who will never defect because their lane is full.

If they play no guys, Goblin and Titania go to the other lane and you can probably convert it turn 6 with literally any drop as Titania will jump back to you with your next play.

If I draw those 2 I pretty much always snap.

This game I actually played Titania turn 6 with Debrii and Hazmat in lane 1 first to prevent Captain Marvel from winning lane 2. (Screwing over Dr Doom by accident was funny though)

Funny thing Captain Marvel was in the far right lane then jumped to Doom's lane at endgame even though it didn't win the game.

So she doesn't care about winning the game as much as coming closer to winning it I guess? Or maybe she assumed Doom was going to actually go off and made her calculation of which lane to jump to before reveals? I don't get it.

maybe im looking at it wrong but wasnt the left tied and she won the lane by moving to it? not like staying in the right mattered and she couldnt move to the middle. went from tied lose lose to win lose lose which is technically an improvement

Yeah. It's just her ability reads as "move to the location that wins you the game (if possible)" and she did not win the game.

But yeah it probably just is as simple as she does what gets the game closest to winning but in a shutout will move to make things closer even if it doesn't actually win the game.

Actually I should clarify it's current level rounded down -30

So if you're at 58 then it rounds down to 50 and then down to 20 for next season.

So if you want to start higher try to hit a 10 threshold and stop there.

Ok thanks. I dont think I can get from 52 to 60 in 7 hours, plus all my missions are done and there are no more left to come until the new Season starts, so not much incentive to grind right now.

Might just push for one more Season Cache which Im fairly close to, then wait for the changeover

Silver Surfer is the featured card for it IIRC.

So I assume a Surfer variant, and I feel like there was a Galactus variant as well.

I kinda doubt they put a Galactus variant in the season pass because that would be giving away a Series 5 card for pretty cheap.
