Oh, you're right. They just name-dropped him in the adverts for it as "Silver Surfer's adversary, the Series 5 card Galactus".

It's Silver Surfer, Infininaut, and Collector.

Is Collector getting a buff? He seems pretty bad as is.

Collector is okay in decks built entirely around pulling cards from other means but... Yeah, I don't love him. I don't recall any other balance changes being made soon.

There's a deck that uses a bunch of discards and Lockjaw to try to discard Swarm as many times as possible. You can get your Morbius and Collector pretty high in that deck but it's kinda hard to pull off in my experience.

He uses to give +2 per card and he was broken in Moon Girl decks so I don't know how you fix a card with that design.

Well, we'll see what Silver Surfer looks like but I might skip this season pass.

I think if you made him Ongoing like Morbius he'd be in a good spot. But maybe a bit too good still. You can rack up a lot of cards in your hands with him if you're creative. Swarm is a good one-- I've seen Beast used with him to get +3 power on him too.

The big problem is if you don't draw him early enough he ends up being pretty weak.

He's a 3/0 that gives your other 3 cost cards +3 power.

So yeah I really don't know what you're supposed to do with that.

Assuming you play a 3 drop on 3/4/5 then he's giving your board extra 9 power on turn 6.

Yeah that sounds pretty meh to me

Best Silver Surfer deck probably runs Ironheart and Brood and drops Odin on Surfer's location (that also has Ironheart on it) and gives you +36 just from Surfer + Ironheart buffs.

But yeah he looks really gimmicky to me. I'll still get the season pass because I like the game and it is efficient currency but I doubt I'd run a Silver Surfer deck soon.

I liked his original leaked design better. I don't remember the stats but he gave all of your 6 cost cards +power (it was either 3 or 5 I think) no matter where they were.

So the idea was to buff your Galactus by playing Surfer then drop a big Galactus on turn 6. Better flavor too as a herald of Galactus instead of random buffs.

I guess they figured it was too much value with Wave decks and how easy it can be to play 6 drops sometimes.

Speaking of Goose earlier, I just got him.

Oh I forgot a good loss I had when Bar Sinister was still up, this was the first time I ever saw the Cerebro card. He dropped it on turn 6 at Bar Sinister while every single other card he had was at 2 power

Finished my missions and got one last season cache which gave me a variant I really like.

I actually bought that exact variant for gold! One of the only 2 I bought

That's actually one of the first variants I got.

Since people in this thread said that Frame Breaks were the most efficient way to get higher levels, I put together a deck composed entirely of cards I never used so I could level them up. Apparently, a deck with Goose, Electro, Storm, and Crystal gets you a 75% win rate (based on my own observations).

I either bought or randomly won that same SW variant. Pretty sure I bought it

what's funny and/or tragic is that right after I bought that Scarlet Witch variant I unlocked another Scarlet Witch variant (which is pretty good but not as good as that one)

Very clever of them to make Upgrade 12 Cards an opening Power Cosmic mission to plant a seed for buying the Season Pass

So Silver Surfer only cares about the base cost. If you modify it it doesn't matter.

Very good in Mr Negative Decks since so many of the tasty cards to invert cost 3.

Ugh back to 20, and facing the same opponents. I only treaded water after playing for a while.

I did luckily get the 3-location win thanks to Subterranea giving both of us shit hands, but my shit was better and he retreated.

My current opinion is that the most fun deck to play is MoonDino

Not only do most people have no defense for two Devil Dinosaurs, even if you never draw him you can get lots of fun stuff from Mantis/Cable/WhiteQueen/Agent13 to use instead

If you put main mysterio at Sinister London the copy has 0 power (and doesn't reveal as a copy at the end of the game)

I dont understand the purpose of the new Darkhawk card theyre adding

4 cost, 1 power, Ongoing: Cards in your opponents deck have +2 Power

What is the use case for this?

Could be some kind of counter card for the deck switching location or similar shit.

DARKHAWK has +2 power for every card left in your opponents deck

So hell just get weaker over time unless you can stop your opponent from drawing cards

Does anything besides Black Widow do that? Or forcing their hand to be full I guess

The new locations are definitely gimmicky but could be fun

• Lamentis-1: Draw 3 cards. Destroy both decks.
• Klyntar: After turn 4, merge your cards here into a Symbiote.
• Vormir: The first card you play here is destroyed.

so the Blue Marvel/Onslaught deck I made specifically for Bar Sinister has actually been a lot of fun even after Bar Sinister ended

also it's a little thing but I REALLY wish they would add more avatars than just like one or two per season

like there's literally hundreds of cards not even counting variations, and all the avatar is is a little snip of it so I imagine it has to be super easy to do, so the tiny numbers of avatars in the game just feels so weird

I believe you can get avatars of literally any card or variant from the collector's caches at 1000+. I got a Hulk Buster one I will never use. Hope to get Mysterio or Hobgoblin or Omega Red or something.

Any tips for this low cost deck? Kinda thinking Mister Fantastic could be alright as a low-cost Klaw, but I dont know what to take out.

With this low of power, I need all the utility I can get.

Its consistently winning (and fun), but Im just wondering if I can win harder, lol.

For adds, Bishop and Collector are really good with Beast. Bishop being 3 cost is nice too obviously.

For removes I would consider dropping Sunspot and Armor first of that lot. I feel like that deck isn't going to have a lot of floating energy nor a ton of fear of stuff getting killed. But you'd know how your energy situation is better than theorycraft would.

You might also consider an actual high priced drop or two since Goose can't lock all the lanes down. Vision is kinda cool with Storm and to cheat into a Goose lane.

Sunspot seems like kind of a waste since you should often have enough cards to use all your energy. Maybe Yondu instead, or Elektra.

Okoye or Nakia over Scarlet Witch to give your deck a little more power too.

Edit: Forge too.

Forge isn't really worth playing unless you have a way to abuse his buff. I guess Beast does at some level. You could throw some combination of Sinister + him + Okoye + Nakia in though.

Brood would be killer in the deck if you ever got them yeah throw him in. Otherwise you're generally better off playing Lizard than Forge.

Surfer + Brood is pretty busted right now though so definitely try that if you have it.

Scorpion's also worth considering. Doesn't boost you much but hurts your opponent a good bit

Captain America at full throttle is basically 3/6. So is Punisher. Nakia is 3/5 (3/1, and +2 power to two cards). Nakia is also harder to fully capitalize on her buff if you draw her late.

I do like Scorpion though. Scorpion is top tier dickery with Beast and makes the Goose lane harder to play against.

I put in Sunspot for those turns where I technically have cards I could play, but theyre like Beast or Storm and I dont have a good place to use them yet.

Armor was to protect my one drops, but also counter Novas lol. Drop armor on Nova and they retreat almost every time lol, easy cubes. I could see removing it though.

I could swap Scarlet for Rhino, but I cant not have a way to delete bad locations (or good locations they have a better combo for) lol.

Vision is a great idea to sneak some power into Gooses lane.

When Sinister Bar was common, Id play Scorpion + Beast on it.

Itd give me 3 scorpions, then Id pick them all up as 1 drops, and left me 3 spaces on Sinister Bar to play with.

Beast is definitely one of my favorite cards right now.

Storm deletes bad locations. If you use Vision you could probably be less conservative with playing her aggressively as terrain control.

the math totals is how I like thinking of Scorpion too

If you drop him turn 2, he's a 2|2, but really like a 2|5 because he's doing -3 to your opponent

-4 if the opponent didn't play anything turn 1

Thats true, but she also locks it down.

Its nice to Scarlet a location theyre playing a combo on, then Storm an empty one to either force them to split their forces or give me a free location.

After this match, I can definitely take out armor. Its a counter to a very specific combo and doesnt really benefit me much otherwise. Getting Sif + Cap with Agent13/Morph was beautiful here.
