I just realized that the Pixel Variant Bucky Barnes doesn't even turn into a pixel Winter Soldier.

What's the fucking point? Lol

Devs said that eventually they're going to offer variants for tokens as well but yeah some cards just really do not benefit from variants.

Morph shows his variant for 2 seconds before transforming. Mysterio doesn't show his variant until he transforms at the very end of the game.

It's a bummer because Mysterio has some very good variants like this one:

Just a card game term to apply to those extra cards that get summoned by other cards.

Sorry for triple post but one more thing I just had happen that I thought was hilarious

I just unlocked Quake, who shuffles the placements of the locations around, and the very first time I played her, I played her at a "cards here get -1 power location"

My opponent had a Deadpool for his destroy deck in another location, but then when I played quake, the -1 location went to Deadpool, which brought him to zero, and then when they destroyed him, it doubled his power... to zero

Somehow that's even more satisfying than just destroying a card

For some reason I don't think Deadpool actually takes location into affect when he's destroyed, just other buffs like Nova or Hulkbuster.

My favorite thing in this game is when you spend the entire turn 6 debating where they're going to play their 50/50 Death and then it was a bot the entire time and they Taskmaster their Wave instead.

There are still bots past the extended tutorial? Is this game not doing well?

Nah this game is actually doing shockingly well.

I don't know where you've landed after the reset but they have bots for a while.

You still run into bots all the time, even in the highest ranks. Honestly I think if you lose a few times in a row it throws a bot at you as a consolation.

They're pretty easy to spot because they all haves simple names like "Michelle" and they usually use 1 of like 4 different avatars.

I had something similar happen, but they had snapped AND emoted, so they were real.

I think some people just like Marvel and are throwing down cards without knowing what theyre doing lol.

I wouldnt be surprised if it does, it makes the same kind of sense as the way Venom eating three cards at Nidavellir will get each of their +5 boosts, and then receive the +5 boost itself

Maybe it's a bug but I've played with Deadpool quite a bit and those aura effects don't seem to impact him when he dies for some reason.

They do definitely affect Venom eating cards but not Deadpool. I'm guessing because it checks his power AFTER he dies so he's not affected by auras anymore. But Venom eats first and then just adds the number he ate.

Does an ongoing like Blue Marvel or Kazarr count for it? That same logic should apply there. I havent seen Deadpool much so I dont know

I played Korg in a match where one of the locations dumped rocks in everyone's deck. I was very happy later in the match when I saw my opponent forced to play the rock I sent him (the frame was shiny).

I believe it does not count as a buff under the same logic but I've never actually tested that. Not many decks where those circles overlap!

If you can time a Black Widow right before it pops, theyre screwed

Lamentis SUCKS and my deck is totally not adequate for it

I have so many cards I want to upgrade but it always ALWAYS gives me Odin boosters

I have Odin fully upgraded twice over already and nobody else has hit Infinity

really seeing the limits of my Patriot deck, it's mostly the same game plan every game and if your draws are too far out of order you're just fucked. It's been decent for Lamentis I guess

Not sure if the guy I just played missed the memo on the featured location, he was trying to use Jubilee and Jane Foster with no deck

Nah but I am noticing the effectiveness of my Galactus deck dropping.

It's very obvious I'm going to play Galactus on turn 5 when the only thing I have on the board is a Wolverine and an Electro.

I am pretty much snapping every time the featured location pops up. Having some combination of Doom, the goblins, Lizard and Maw has been on a winning streak

I don't care for Psylocke's default look in this game. Something about this art isn't quite working for me but it's the look I associate with her.

I'm wondering if I should wait till this one appears? I don't know. This one is better art but the other one is classic Psylocke.

I wish there was one in the outfit of the first drawn in the style of the second.

Maybe I should just suffer through using the default look and hold off until a better variant is released or I get one for free.

Oof, I just finished Pool 2 (but not into fhe Pool 3 cards yet) and instantly Ive seen an increase in opponent quality

My Moon/Dino deck was pretty much unbeatable as long as the locations werent absurd. Rose up from reset at 20 back to 45 very quickly.

Now Im facing people with at least one Pool 3 card and maybe its just my unfamiliarity with them, but now Im around 50/50

It goes down three levels at reset. So if you are 50-59 you drop to 20

Probably not anything you can do about not claiming the reward, its just sitting there that whole time

Lamentis-1 is hell for my usual MoonDinosaur deck, but my annoying deck is loving it.

Huh, so if you play Storm on turn 3, and a Mirror Dimension copies that Flooding at the start of turn 4, that second one doesnt actually become Flooded until after turn 5 ends. Almost cost me the game!

No idea why he snapped AND played this one out without playing anything else on the location he played Storm on.

Kyln got copied by another location the same time that I played Storm, leaving all 3 locations as unplayable after turn 4. I could've played Scarlet Witch to make at least one location still playable, but this was more fun

90% sure I was facing a bot though because they didn't retreat despite having effectively lost as of turn 4

I really hate the ai bullshit in this game. I swear it is programed to make the worst plays possible.

playing a bunch of Agatha is a great way to quickly jump up your collection level if you don't mind losing a bunch of matches along the way

So I'm seeing a ton of different card back and titles lately. Do they start unlocking at some point?

edit: so I looked it up and apparently titles are from collector's reserves at 1000+

card backs are only from season passes so I'm guessing I am seeing more bots given how many of those I've seen lately

You can get 2 from the Season Pass and 2 from thewhatever the regular Season Levels track is called
