Slow and steady wins the race for my Galactus Death deck. This deck wins 1-2 cubes on average after you play Galactus. They leave pretty much every time he gets played so it comes down to whether or not you were able to snap before playing him. Rare games where they think they can still win and you drop Death + Gamora + Demon for 30 power on turn 6 (that's best case scenario and basically never happens but wow it feels good to do that).

But the Chibi Armor variant I got at 70 was def not worth that climb lol.

I found the best strat for weirdworld: Draw a few cards then snap. They will retreat because they think their deck is the greatest thing in the world.

Are you all playing destroy decks? I haven't had a problem with Armor so far at all. Seems like a fair card to me.

Cosmo is def too strong since he's ongoing. If they made Enchantress ongoing too I think that would even him out. Or make him 4 cost at least.

I tried that last time it was featured and didn't pull it off a single time

Getting all three of them in that order by the proper turns is harder than it seems

I pulled it off a bunch, like probably somewhere in the 20+ range, but people started retreating as soon as you drop Nightcrawler on Bar Sinister.

It gave every card +18 (my Onslaughts were all at 6 before playing them because of Scorpion)

I feel bad playing people who have no idea how to use Bar Sinister (dropping a Goblin or hobgoblin is very satisfying)

remember that if your bar sinister is totally empty when you place a goblin, the first one will move and then four more appear, so you're gonna be stuck with one

I'm always afraid to put a Hobgoblin there if I don't have initiative unless a location gave me extra energy on an early turn, because I figure there's a good chance they'll play something there on turn 5. Green Goblin is usually safe though

Speaking of Bar Sinister, I tried a Scorpion strat on it for fun.

They played Morph, and uhit didnt go well for them.

I use Lady Sif on Bar Sinister to buff Apocalypse to 24. Get some retreats that way.

Although once that happened and then their Morph got a free 24 power card

EDIT: Or if I can get Okoye there on Turn 2 I do that. Its kind of sacrificing the location but it makes winning the other two much easier

Someone put an Odin there once and Im honestly not sure why it ever finished? Logically shouldnt that be an infinite loop?

It was the last reveal of the game and it just went on and on but it did eventually stop for some reason

There's some nasty things you can do with Deadpool and Venom there too.

Or 4 Novas, Iceman, or Yondu. Then you Killmonger them and play discounted Deaths there.

I've never had the courage to play utility cards there. Having the raw power of stronger cards seems better. Plus someone like Klaw can be good for 2 locations.

Iceman & Killmonger sounds great though. Or maybe Cloak for more general util, but then you are clogging up your board with weak cards.

Hm Captain Marvel at the shop

Don't actually think I'll buy her. She is fairly low on my wants and she isn't going to enable any sort of deck archetypes that I had in mind.

Gambit is in my shop but I just opened a cache with him and hes still in the shop, I wonder what happens if I buy it now. Not gonna try since its my last 1000 tokens though

Anyway I got Chessmaster Bishop as a Season Cache reward that's awesome cause I would have likely bought that at some point so basically 700 gold cache (or was that a 1200 skin I'm not sure)

Does Viper counter the goblins?

I believe you can't get 1200 skins from opening caches so it must have been 700.

Viper isn't a great counter for Goblins because Goblin needs to be the only card there or else you risk giving them one of your cards. And do you really want to play Viper on turns 4-6?

My last 10 season caches have all been 50 or 100 credits

Any time that I've been about to get this, the opponent retreats (when I'm NOT in control of all three yet), it's getting incredibly frustrating.

Fill lanes quickly with stuff like Squirrel Girl and Klaw/Mr Fantastic. If they retreat and you have all 3 lanes you get credit

Klaw, Fantastic, zoo decks with Blue Marvel and Kazar and Spectrum and such.

Or get The Nexus and stack it.

You just have to do it once so it should happen eventually.

Use decks that can win a lot of lanes.

My Ultron deck wins a lot of locations like that! Add tricky stuff like Storm and Hobgoblin to secure locations as well. And usually it's only clear that I'm going to win all lanes the very last turn. It's a useful deck for the "win with 4 people in a location" challenges too.

Do you matchmake based on CL or just rank?

well I'm at 51 and just went against someone who hit 100 last season, so their current rank is at least 70 minimum...and they seemed to have a lot more pool 3 cards than I do, so who knows

some sort of mix between CL and rank but CL definitely plays a bigger part I think

After a match where a location was being Storm'd and Wanda'd, I couldn't help but feel like it was a child being torn between a pair of divorced parents.

I figure it's also like most games where exponentially fewer players are at higher levels, so your matchmaking range gets greatly widened in order to get consistent matches

Oh ok. Damn so im consistently playing people like 300 cl above me. When does pool 4 start? 2900+?

series 4 and 5 don't have a starting point like that, you have a chance of unlocking them in any collector's cache or reserve. 2.5% chance for series 4 and 0.25% chance for series 5. I believe series 4 cards have a pity timer where you're guaranteed to get one every X number of caches/reserves but I forget the number, I wanna say it's one series 4 card for every tenth series 3 card you unlock

once you have no more series 3 cards left to earn, that "option" in the prize pool is replaced with 400 collector's tokens. But also after some length of time they will "downgrade" some cards into the next series down

Pity timer for Series 4 is 40 boxes, not sure if that only sets in once you've unlocked every series 3 card or not though.

I just looked into it some more and "pity timer" is a bit misleading compared to the way people know it from gacha games. The way it works is that for every group of 40 caches you are guaranteed nine series 3 and one series 4 card. You can't get a lucky roll and get two series 4 and eight series 3 instead. So theoretically if you open a series 4 card as early as possible in one group of 40 boxes and the series 4 card in the next box came as late as possible, it would be 78 caches with no series 4 cards in between the two.
