Phanpy/Phanphy actually has some precedent here. IIRC there was a TCG card that had it misspelled as Phanphy and I know of people who have always thought that was the correct spelling/pronunciation because of that one card.

I have been pronouncing it like Angela. There was a girl in my high school named Tangela, pronounced like Angela with a T in front.

But its always been Phanpy. Been pronouncing it like the word Fan followed by the letter P. If it had the second PH I would have called it Fan- Fee.
