I used Agent 13 first turn and pulled an Agatha Harkness and somehow still won I have no idea how. My opponent must have thought I was playing with my eyes closed until the last turn.

I was playing someone who constantly was playing cards in the bar with no name so I was fairly convinced they had a storm or Wanda waiting.

But no it was just Agatha.

This game has sucked so many hours of the last two days since I started. Augh

i'm like collection lvl 20 - when do i stop facing bots and face real players. this undefeated streak is getting boring

Should stop getting bots around Rank 30. So yeah just make sure you're getting 8 cubes a game and you'll get there pretty quick.

my favorite is always Hobgoblin at Bar Sinister

but it's one of the riskiest plays in the game and it's backfired on me a few times

oh let's go i just pulled death and patriot today. two different archetype defining cards. i don't really have the full set of support cards for them yet but I can still cobble something together for each of them

I was feeling my Deadpool/Death deck struggling lately and yeah it seems like Armor and Cosmo are just popping up a lot right now.

Definitely need to go back to the drawing board with my decks.

Doctor Doom - He's really cool. I like his Synergy with storm who is quickly becoming one of my favorite cards in the game.

Taskmaster - Seems useful but not with any of the cards I can currently build around. You need a cheapie that is getting high power. I could see him being neat with like Deadpool or Carnage. Or Crossbones. I feel like he really needs to cost 4 though. 5 for just a beef stick seems steep when you can get a tricky beef stick or Iron Man.

Maximus - Not seeing the appeal. Drawback seems too high for a 3/7. Not really thinking of anyways to be cute by giving your opponent too many cards either.

Mysterio - YES. Love the character. Love the card flavor. He seems powerful too. Very excited about this one. Possibly my most wanted in the game currently.

Deadpool - he's cute. Not sure I have the pieces to make a kill my own stuff deck work yet but it's something I would like to try at some point so excited about him.

Ultron - while I'm sure there's some gimmicky buff deck that he would be useful in over Doom, I really can't see any non-gimmicky scenario where Doom isn't just better. I also don't particularly like Ultron as the MCU kind of ruined him for me. So not very exciting.

Maximus synergy is Ronan (but it still doesn't work very well). You can also use Sera to make him a 2/7 on turn 6 which is pretty dang good.

Taskmaster is good with Death. Kill stuff all game then drop Death + Taskmaster for 12 power on two lanes.

Ultron is better in Patriot decks vs Doom because each robot gets a boost from Patriot. 12-20 power on an empty lane vs 7-9 power

I feel like depending on the build Doombots might be better anyway

Ideally you want Patriot and Mystique. But what are you doing turns 1, 2, and the turn of 3-5 you didn't play those 2. You use Wasp, Mysterio, and Squirrel Girl and you're piling up lanes already.

Bot is worth +4 over an Ultron at base. So if you get Patriot + Mystique you break even if you get two per lane before playing Doom. Three per lane Doom wins.

Maybe the answer is use both to be guaranteed your finisher and fill lanes differently depending on draws though. I just need Patriot and I can try this stuff out.

Fuck Warrior's Falls

It's crazy how many matches come down to 1 or 2 points. That's the holy grail of game design - large integers (relatively) but also each one matters.

Just had a round where the guy had a Klaw (stupid OP card btw) and put it on mid, which lost left and right. If he put it on left, he would've tied left and won mid, so it would go to tiebreaker where he had 1 more total points. BUT the left location gave -2 to all cards, so he would've lost the tiebreaker in that case. His only chance was for me to make a mistake and then win at tiebreaker.

so like, when you upgrade a card, it looks like it improves the visual design of the card in some way. but ... a lot of the cards i don't even notice a difference

are you able to view the different versions of a card you have to see the improvements? i don't see a way

Frame break usually zooms into the character so they are bigger than the frame. It's basically the same.

Animated is also super subtle usually, and with the random gyro motion of your hand it's hard to notice. Shiny logo is almost nothing too.

So really its all about 3D. I'm sure the other modes were thrown in later.

Early pool 3 was the worst for me, felt like you were playing against so many full decks and you're still trying to scrap something together.

the wave cost reduction happens before the death cost reduction. wave reduces death cost to 4, then 3 cards destroyed reduces the cost of death to 1 from 4.

it's why i need wave so badly after pulling death :(

Probably not always gonna work this well but that was a great first outing for ol Deddy.

Got Debrii and Beast. Both cards I had some passing interest in but don't have any concrete idea for yet, but not bad

Warrior's Falls is completely broken.

If they are equal, they don't get destroyed. But that makes no sense because the other group should've destroyed them.

I also saw someone use a Professor X and they do the animation every time, but nothing is ever destroyed.

Fairly certain Warrior Falls doesn't actually activate on the final turn before the winner is determined. Or I'm misremembering the exact order of play.

Warrior Falls that game was quite a riot. It was

Bucky vs Sword Master Turn 3, Bucky Killed on Turn 3
I tried to play Ironheart Turn 4 to buff Winter Soldier to 8 power to kill Sword Master, they play Gambit. Gambit kills Winter Soldier, Ironheart buffs nothing. Ironheart is killed.
Turn 5 they play Moo Cow, Gambit is killed.

Doom vs Hulk in the center turn 6.

However I believe Warrior Falls doesn't actually activate on the last turn? Either Gambit was killed turn 5 and it didn't activate on turn 6 or Gambit was killed turn 6 and I'm forgetting some fodder that was placed in the middle at some point. I don't recall.

It definitely activates on the final turn

I think what actually happened was my timeline was one off for some reason

Bucky vs Sword Master Turn 4, Bucky Killed Turn 4
Turn 5 try to play Iron Heart thinking I'm gonna be super cool and kill moo cow + Sword Master, Gambit screws over my plan, but I'm dumb and just blissfully use my Doom play anyway.
Turn 6 Gambit is killed and I go "oh yeah, oops that could have been bad"

The point is I did my plan and my plan worked as I expected so I was forgetting the details lol.

Promise this is my last screenshot of this deck but man Shuri's lab with Deadpool can get pretty ridiculous (that was gonna be a 70 power Taskmaster but he had the sense to run away when he saw 70 power Venom)

There is no advantage to spending money aside from getting the newest card two months before anyone else.

you could also buy gold to spend on more daily missions to get more credits and increase your collector's level faster. Not a gameplay advantage necessarily but might get you the cards you want faster
