My favorite thing about my Ultron deck is that I'll spend time loading up my 1 energy cards and then they drop down a Killmonger to stop my plan.

And then by last turn I lay down and Ultron and replace all of them. It's pretty great. I've gotten a lot of thumbs up after my last turn because of it.

The amount of games I've lost to Shang-Chi is quite frankly absurd. I never respect Shang Chi because my meta brain always asks "who would be running Shang-Chi in their Destroyer deck?" or "who would be running Shang-Chi in their move deck?"

Answer: EVERYONE. EVERYONE IS ALWAYS RUNNING SHANG-CHI 100% OF THE TIME

A quarter of each of my decks is defense against other deck types so I believe it

Shang Chi sucks 90% of the time except when he's completely broken

Yeah Shang-Chi's in hand winrate is probably like 50% and his played winrate is probably 90%

I was going to try to grind from 65 to 70 today but losing 8 out of the last 10 games to Destroyer decks has really killed my motivation to keep playing today.

so they didn't nerf destroyer enough?

When do variants change? Because it looks like locking my Token card locked those also

Surprise shang chi is one the best way to sneak away 8 cubes instead of getting just 1 or 2 a game

Token shop changes every 8 hours and variants in the shop only change once a day at 9PM central time.

So I just discovered something and I don't know if anyone else knows this.

But once you level up a card to 3D, and you're looking at it on your collection screen, you can tilt your phone to see it move with it. I did it with my Ultron variant and it's pretty cool.

It works on the game board too. Didn't notice since I'm not flailing my phone around while playing.

My Morph took his Onslaught, so I put a Klaw there. But we had the turn 6 hand swap location so he knew what was coming. Unfortunately only got 2 cubes that round.

Looking through Galactus decks online and I can't believe I missed the synergy with Death. Wave Galactus on 5 and he kills everything and your Death is probably 1-2 energy on turn 6.

Just had a move deck sucker play a Warpath on the 9 power monster location. He revealed first. I revealed Shang Chi.

And he kept playing to the end! Easiest 8 cubes ever.

Shang Chi should def be a 5 cost. It's a 12 power swing MINIMUM. Worst case you never play it and it takes up 1 extra space in your hand.

Shang-Chi should be like Enchantress and destroy all 9+ power cards in the lane at the very least.

At least, when I had the Hulk location, he destroyed all three of them and ruined my day.

Shang chi doesn't hit your side of the board I believe

The thing about Shang Chi is that if RNG decides youre flipping first, he doesnt do jack shit.

I still run him, but Ive had so many games where he was impossible to use.

The only time it is rng is on the first turn after that whoever is winning is flipped first.

You can always tell who will flip first on a turn by what name is highlighted.

So while, yes, it is rng on T1 only you still know who will flip first before you play your first card.

Yeah we talked about this already. I didnt mean the literal RNG of the flip, I more mean the game state.

Its not really reasonable/consistent to be intentionally losing so your Shang Chi can flip last on turn 5 or 6 to hit those bombs.

If you're afraid of Shang Chi just use Armor or Cosmo

personally I prefer Cosmo because it shuts down lots of other things too, and also can't be Enchantress'd, (some movement cards can still get around it) but obviously inadvisable if your bombs are On Reveal

In my Patriot/Mystique deck I included Cosmo and have gotten some early retreats by having Mystique copy Cosmo in another lane rather than Patriot

New great Ultron plays.

They play Morph and summon Ultron to fill up every location but one with lame 1 power drones. Then they just stare at the state of their game for a minute before retreating.

It's happened a few times and it's brilliant every time.

Playing a tech card to counter a tech card sounds like a bad idea.

I love having a Cosmo down preemptively for a lane Im gonna be playing a devil Dino in, works like a charm for those dummy Shang chis and enchantresses

Haha, I played down Korg. Opponent plays Jubilee. Opponent draws the rock I just played. Then they retreated.

I believe that's the first time Korg won me a match.

i opened three empty collectors caches, I feel like they should give me more than that. The original patch notes said it was a known issue that sometimes you would get an error message when you open them but it did not say anything about not getting anything from them, so I figured I was still getting the rewards and they just werent being shown right there.

edit: oh, you get to reopen the caches too, the first message I saw that had the gold didnt mention that

I feel like Destroyer + Invisible Woman shouldn't be a combo. Should destroy all cards that were played before it regardless of whether its face up or down

I read this and thought because I didn't open any I wasn't getting compensated but after playing a few games it showed up in my inbox.

Is that seriously it? I never figured it out and kept forgetting to look it up.

I guess it makes sense to provide some rubberbanding, but revealing second is WAY too powerful for that

If I remember right if the game becomes tied after someone already had the lead, that person retains initiative, but if it is still tied on the next turn after that (including total power) I believe it becomes random again

I dont think Ill ever get used to the way when you play a card here, X it takes place AFTER whatever On Reveal happens and boosts its power and the location effect takes all of that into account. Makes cards like Venom so fucking strong

I just got Okoye as a card on the Collector Level path. Is she not Season Pass path exclusive?! What happens if you buy the Season Pass and you already have her card?

You get her variant on the season pass (and you can play a card as normal with just the variant). The base card is on the track in pool 2. Same with Nakia.

Now Black Panther (and Miles Spidey) is not in the pool but in a couple of months (oneish for spidey) he'll be randomly obtainable in pool 3.

You get one card, all the currency, a card back, and four random variants.

Ill gladly spend $10 for that on a game Im playing every day.

Saw a really good Okoye/Jubilee/WhiteTiger/Odin strat. Makes for an unpredictable round 6 with high power so you'll often win the tie breaker.

I mean, if the variants are of cards you don't already have then it is unlocking that card in a sense. So far all those have been series 1/2 cards but I imagine in the future there will probably be series 3 in there sometimes too, if they're working by specific themes

Also I think the season pass cards are going to start going into series 5 instead of series 3. So it'll be 2 months until they get added to series 5 which is still basically unobtainable unless you spend 6000 collector tokens or get super lucky.

Who knows how quickly they'll be lowering cards into series 4 and series 3.

Also the variants might be unobtainable forever if you don't buy the season pass but I'm not positive on that. So yeah it's really only worth it if you want the headliner card early or you really really like the variants. But you're getting the card significantly early, like maybe 6 months to a year early.

I'm getting really fucking sick of this wong, scorpion, hobgoblin bullshit I keep running into.
