I never liked Reigen much for whatever that's worth. I thought season 2 overall was a bit of a mess though which I suppose is probably where the comment is coming from, and I may have just been checked out of the series as a whole already by that point.

New Chainsaw chapter is out.

I mean this with absolutely no offense meant, but realistically, even when it's good nobody is reading HxH for the art. Moving to assistants for the art while he handles the scripts is the best thing for both his health and the manga.

I think it's best with his art, but I would rather get something rather than nothing at all. And his writing is ultimately the draw.

I don't watch JoJo but Netflix did send me an email telling me it was coming out. One of those "new show coming we think you will like" emails they send out.

I have not seen the movie, but I know there is nothing in there that would be a problem for an anime only watcher. It's a prequel film.

Odd Taxi I finished watching so recently that I may just skip around to the new content for now rather than watching the whole digest movie.

Very excited to finally check out the Psycho Pass stuff, but I still need to watch the the original Psycho Pass movie before checking out this trilogy.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is still Hosada's best work and one of my all time favorite films.

Sword of the Stranger is an absolute banger.

Been so long since I've seen Afro Samurai, may check that out again just for the nostalgia.

Girl Who Leapt Through Time also easily my favorite of the Hosoda films I've seen, though notably I have not seen Summer Wars.

I know Hosada has had a kink for enormous rainbow cyber spaces since he did that Digimon movie, but I appreciate the simplicity of TGWLTT so much more.

I mean all his stuff is great, so I don't want to come off as downplaying any of it.

It does make it a bit off putting when he keeps doing the Digimon cyberspace in different movies over and over again, though. Summer Wars was clearly just him taking his own creative crack at what he did there, even has a lot of similar scene beats.

Wait, my copy of All Star Battle R Unlocks tomorrow night...

I'm still rewatching various anime, I just stopped posting here about it because I have the ranking topic going and didn't want to spoil my opinions. I just want to quickly and vaguely talk about something I think is neat.

I've rewatched a few anime that were nowhere near as good as I remembered. Dragon Pilot went from an 8 to a 3, for example. There was another anime that I ranked 4/10 years ago right after finishing it. It was coming right up in my ranking. Trouble was, I had zero memory of it, so I figured I'd rewatch it. And... somehow it's one of the best anime I've ever seen? How in the world did I give this a mediocre ranking, was I sick or half asleep the last time I watched it? How could I forget all these amazing moments? Have I really changed this much in four years?

Anyway, I won't go on, no one cares about my shifting feelings for an anime I don't even want to name because it'd spoil one of my 9/10s. I just think it's neat how much opinions can change. How something I though was meh can become amazing and I don't even know why it changed. It makes me wonder how many other pleasant surprises I'd find if I rewatched them all. Maybe Violet Evergarden and Sound Euphonium really are as good as everyone says and past me was just an idiot.

I can't remember if past seasons were like this but you can tell if an episode of this batch of Jojo has a post credits scene if there's no to be continued at the end of the episode
