pyresword 09/11/22 10:52:29 PM #367:	Xenoblade 2 chapter 4 beated. Game is still good, but progress has been a bit slow mostly because I am also trying to finish grad school this semester, and video games tend to be the first of my hobbies to get sacrificed when I need time for other things. Mor Ardain is a fun location. Liked it a lot more than any of the mechanical themed levels from the first game. The bit with Chairman Bana was a bit weird. He was a pretty fun character, so it's a bit of a shame they had him decide to jeopardize his years of careful scheming for no reason by challenging the party to a robot duel when he could have just did nothing and the party would have continued on their merry way. Torna and Morag continue to be fun however, though I do hope the game doesn't hold back too much longer in telling me who some of these characters are and what their motivations are. --- I didn't do guru this year but azuarc can be in my sig anyways. <cite>pyresword posted [p:967960959] in Anime &... Basically feels like wish fulfillment harem badassery, but in the way LN series wishes they were, rather than what they actually are. Dark Schneider (the MC) is awesome, the animation's quite good, the music is joyful, the metal music references are nice, and the show constantly moves. Sounds like it's completely down to whether you dig the aesthetic. All caught up with Lycoris Recoil, 2 episodes left it seems. Pretty incredible show. Some of the best characters in an anime original in years. It's pretty easily my AotY so far if it doesn't fall on its face. Not to say it's perfect, most notably I really feels like it should have been two cour. And not in the sense of it needs to go on for another 12 episodes, but in that where it's at now should have been episode 20ish, not 11. Needed some more room to breath. The cast is truly great, though. I was just wondering if the second half was generally regarded as being better/worse/about the same as the first half. Usually for anime/manga like this the most likely way for things to go downhill for me is that the later arcs start getting more and more bloated and the pacing goes to shit (though that's more of an issue in anime than manga since you can kinda skim manga battle scenes if they get too drawn out).
