Oh yeah, I forgot about June. And this is Han's list, so that's probably more accurate.

Yeah June or Misty both good here. If last one wasn't Misty think she's top 5 so guessing June

Campaign 1's Harley brought something else. We put Rosetta's , the shape changing alien, powers to the test by making her be a skinsuit for my character Fastbreak. And of course once she saw Rosetta could change, she wanted The Joker. So Rosetta became the Joker. But it was really Fastbreak wearing Rosetta who was The Joker because Harley liked that... and then she wanted to have a wedding

7. Misty Kilgore
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/4/9/7/AAOJ0pAADbmp.png
Misty is currently of 51 minds. Recently, she was at 53.

So Lush had her mind wiped by Zatanna. She was one of 52 people this happened to! In fact, Doctor Light learning what Zatanna did to her was the fuse to the powder keg that caused the Society to rise up in the first place. So Lush has been furious with Zatanna. Absolutely furious. So much, that she didn't even trust Saoirse, her bestie, when it was time to go to Shadowcrest, the Zatarra family's ancestral home.

We fought through the place and ended up in a small storeroom that had been locked away with magic. And inside we found the thing we were looking for - Zatanna's scrying font. Except all the water was gone. See, there were also discarded chip bags. Chips are salty. And so someone drank the font, full of memories.

That someone was Misty.

From the get-go, we knew something was wrong with Misty. "HUNGRY FOR FRIES!" "You all are bunch of squawk, aren't you?" "It took you all 7.53 seconds to walk into this room." "I love Hal Jordan!" Misty clearly had many other personalities in her head. And talking to her was difficulty - she didn't much get a word out. But every time she spoke, it was one of a number of villains.

Seemed to be about 10.

More?

Then we found out it was 52. 52 people had their memories zapped by Zatanna and put into the font which Misty drank, and they all flowed into her cute little head.

INSTANTLY Lush said "Zatanna fucked this girl up, I'm going to take care of her".

We would come to learn that Zatanna had been looking after Misty, and not in an antagonistic manner. But Misty couldn't remember too much. So using Madame Xanadu to help, and Lush taking care of her, we slowly chipped away at Misty.

There were a few issues along the way. Misty was convinced that Jaime was Hal Jordan by Traci who used her to kiss Jaime and upset Pepper because Traci can be kind of a bitch but that's because witches be bitches. And at one point, Misty started rolling her die, but kept rolling 1's in a row. See, Misty rolls a d6 a lot. She also finds a lot of jacks. As in, the playing cards. She will just spit jacks out of her mouth.

And then at one point, Lush managed to have a conversation in Misty's head... with herself. Lush was mindwiped, so her past self, Ros, had some words with her. And so Lush took Misty to talk to Oracle and Misty revealed that she ALSO had a bit of Trish McKenzie in her head. We'll get to Trish. But Trish basically broke open the whole mind thing and said "oh btw I'm in another dimension and here's where you have to go to get into the Bleed" but it was in code but Roz'etta figured out the code fast, except we don't agree on what a "rainbow brigade" is, I mean, it's probably Lanterns but could be Seven Soldiers...

Oh, and then the Trish memory in Misty's head killed herself because that's what other Trishes do. So she was down to 51. However, Trish was holding back the DARK BADS, which began to wreak havoc in Misty's head.

Oh, let's talk Pocus for a second. I already said stuff in Pocus's write-up, but Misty likes to pretend to talk for Pocus. "Snapper. Loves. Lush!" or "He. Needs. To back. Off!" They're an amazing pair. Pocus helps keep Misty sane.

So yeah, Misty has been gathering her self back - she recognizes party members, appreciates Lush a lot, and begins to nose her (putting her nose on Lush). She's getting her bearings. And then we have to go into Misty's head to deal with the Dark Bads. And oh boy.

Doctor Light got mind-wiped after he got onto the Justice League satellite and did a VERY BAD THING. There was a vote. They completely rewrote his personality. Not all of the League membership was there. Hawkman, Flash, Atom, and Zatanna voted for the wipe. Black Canary and Lantern and Arrow, Green voted against. So they wiped him.

Then Batman walked in.

The Dark Bads were Batman, a piece of his memory small enough, but combined with the part of Batman that would be suspicious of Zatanna - she rewrote him to be her friend. And this bit of Batman festered in Misty's head, becoming Vengeance.

Anyway, Misty, in her head, cast a spell and sent Vengeance into the multiverse where he wanted to go. Oops? But she got the Dark Bad out, so that was good. Also in there we met Chronos and Reverse Flash and hung out with Ros who gave some kiss-kiss.

So Misty is even more in charge of her mind now. She is a lot more aware of the people within, and with us PC's helping out, she might learn to control them somewhat. But she still doesn't have her memories, which might be important because we learned that she is the daughter of Gloriana Tenebrae, the Queen of the Gloaming of Fey, darkness incarnate, and slated bride-to-be of Darkseid.

So uh.

Yeah.

Serious shit.

Misty is just absolutely lovable. She's this poor girl who had her mind impossibly fucked, and if it wasn't for Lush, the PC with the most fucked mind of them all, taking a nurturing and caring position with her, she might have no one. But the support system is there - enough to see her self come through, getting persuaded to kiss Jaime on her own "I put my tongue on another tongue before, too. It feels nice." And perhaps maybe beginning to find out her abilities.

And of course, with Misty, you get 53 characters in 1. Well, 51 now. And we still don't know who they all are. All we know is that every single appearance Misty has is a grand slam. She is so damn consistent, despite being a character with tons of variety, and will continue to earn the adoration and care of us all every moment she gets.

At least, until she goes full dark fairy on us.

Hint for 6: This character has seen Saoirse naked

Honorable Mention: Batgirl (Stephanie Cluemaster Brown aka Sally Beamish)

Stephanie was Spoiler in campaign 1. She made sure to tell us she was a perfect 10 and we were 2's and we all loved her despite her being nothing but a bitch to all of us. Then she died between campaigns. But we found out that was fake, and she's actually alive, and now Batgirl, and she's still a bitch to people, but maybe a little less so since she's busy taking care of a campus full of children.

6. Enchantress (June Moone)
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/5/2/9/AAOJ0pAADbnJ.jpg
Looney Juney. June, a sweet girl possessed by the spirit of a powerful sorceress, at some point, gave up and said "Enchantress take the wheel" and since then June has been nothing but a filterless bitchy rude disgusting predatory ball of what should be evil, but due to her associations has turned out on the side of what we would call good, and is given what should be a long leash but is perhaps the shortest in that she's stuck in a bar with some ghosts, a Ragman who likes her, the fecking Hellblazer, and a talking pillow, all due to the Spectre's influence.

So in some manners, Enchantress is the character the players least want to interact with. I mean, she straight up says she'll chew them up and spit them out, swallow their souls, devour them completely...

So it's no surprise that queen of bad decisions, Saoirse, chose to spend more time with her.

I mean, people don't go on safaris to look at animals. They can do that in a zoo. They go on safaris to be amongst the animals, the beasts, the carnivores. The danger is what draws them in. Danger is alluring, danger is sexy, danger is warning signs and red flags and the danger-seeker is just a bull.

So yeah, Saoirse hooked up with June.

It was perhaps an ill-advised choice. But, you see, the SECOND time Saoirse went to her, Saoirse requested that she wore the Supergirl costume Enchantress had in her wardrobe and she said yes and maybe stole Saoirse's spell of casting lightning so anytime Saoirse casts it it's in Enchantress's voice and also June stole a piece of Saoirse's soul in the exchange which really wasn't very good and June wasn't clear that she was doing it and that's really the reddest flag of ANYTHING to the point where Constantine risked his life running out of Oblivion to check on Saoirse and really nobody should give June the time of day after that...

So of course Saoirse went back a third time.

One might call this addiction, one might call it self-hatred, one might call it martyrism or a savior-complex, but most everybody except for Saoirse would call it stupidity. But stupid is as stupid does. Which makes stupid June Moone.

And you know, she put that piece of Saoirse's soul to good use - she put it in her scarf and now has a familiar that keeps her neck warm and reminds her of her prey and/or crush(as Saoirse likes to say it).

Meet... Stitchentyme!
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/5/3/0/AAOJ0pAADbnK.png
I mean, how can you look at that cutie and not want to court such a fine woman as this carnivorous and evil dealer of souls and...

Look, I realize this write-up has been a lot of me trying to justify Saoirse going back to this addiction more than she should, so I'll talk about some other interactions.

June and Lush! June knows that Saoirse is friendly with Lush so June sort of sets herself up as this rival or at least makes it clear that she knows what Saoirse and Lush did and tells Lush what she knows about Saoirse...

June and Spirit! Spirit loves Christmas and drank some Christmas sands that gave him Christmas cheer, and recently lost his heart and the only thing keeping him going is Christmas and he also was helping Constantine use Christmas to pester June and then June waged war on Christmas itself.

Basically what I'm getting at is that June is antagonistic to pretty much everybody.

She is just one of the worst we could have back at base and yet she is perfectly aligned with us where we won't (probably) cross away from it. And there's something to be said for being able to interact with such a dark being so safely... or not safely. Maybe that's why Saoirse can't get enough.

Also, thanks to June, I got this fun art done.

5. Amanda Waller
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/9/4/9/AAOJ0pAADbtt.jpg
Welcome to Checkmate.

When we started this campaign, we basically knew one thing - at the end of the massive epilogue video we got for campaign 1, it was the day evil won - the Final Crisis, Darkseid. We got that much as preview. Then, in constructing things for this campaign, we were left pretty unapprised.

Imagine our feelings when the first session started and five strangers awoke in strange bacta tanks, tried to figure out their surroundings, and got outside to discover a Metropolis absolutely in ruin. Equated, Justifiers, and the Society... things were bad, to the point where the party trusted a homeless woman who turned on them quite suddenly. Oh, and the pop-up of the Spectre.

Things weren't better in Gotham - the place was being patrolled by flying OMAC's. We had to take to the sewers. Ratcatcher was our rescuer, and he got killed. Then we got out through the swamp because Gotham was too dangerous to stay in.

In both situations, we got to a meeting point for Agent 026, Snapper Carr, and snapped to the last bastion of safety on Earth. And there greeting us... was Amanda Waller.

Welcome to Checkmate.

Waller has been the Oracle of Campaign 2. Meaning, she's the boss. (She's my boss!) She calls the shots, she keeps people in line, she's always working at her desk... and yet, she stands unique in her own way. For one, pretty early on, she drafted the ten player characters to act as field agents, something Checkmate sorely needed. This included people she had 'betrayed' before (such as Roz'etta), people eager to hop aboard (Data 7), people who thought they were not the right pick (Saoirse), people who were villains and were afraid of Waller by reputation (Lush)... and everybody fell into line. Waller recognized a use in all the player characters more than the PC's themselves did... hmm... coincidence?

And so we all became field agents and would attend debriefings and the such. Early on, it was sold in a way where we were just agents, but Waller gave freedom to dictate one's path and projects. I mean, Saoirse is a little anti-authority punk, but Waller, who is the Black Queen of Checkmate, directly countered that by using basically no rank on her. Saoirse was given the right to determine her path, and it was just so perfectly done, perfectly manipulative by not manipulating, that Saoirse had no choice but to fall in line.

When Lush and Pepper had their spat (Lush was threatening Pepper after some point), Waller had to be the mom and put her foot down. She's slowly helped ease Lush into knowing about her past, while also encouraging Pepper to rise beyond her means and age.

Waller earned Roz'etta's trust back. Quick. And she found a place for Bloodfruit (Johnbobb's fairy), who is totally out of place, let Spirit be the doctor, and Brennus whom she had saved in the past was given his own territory to roam. Even when Brennus and Thinker had their tiff, Waller knew what was up. Waller knew what was always up... hmm...

Waller herself has had a variety of reactions to the PC's, as well as other NPC's. We recently rescued President Horne, who calls her Mandy to her face. She doesn't like this. She typically holds sway over most NPC's, shutting them down if they're out of hand (Jack Cross). The only one who really stares her back down is Doctor Light, who just holds so much clout and doesn't give a shit. She absolutely swooned for Paul McCartney. And she finds herself liking Jack Knight... as do most.

Waller has been the clear and present leader, sure, but she's been good to the PC's as well. She told Roz'etta she was grooming her to be the next Black Queen (we learned Waller had an illness during the Kobra attack). She attended Saoirse's little rock gig. She's tried to be there when she's needed to be, to provide counsel or whatnot. And recently enough, promoted the whole party to Special Ops, the top decision making branch of field operations. The group that had slid in early on, all within one day, with the same background (being woken up in tubes), remembering that they had been captured by Checkmate, and then being shunted into the top leadership positions in this branch of Checkmate... hmm...

As alluded, there is suspicion here. I mean, there are four branches of Checkmate that operate independently. Things point to the Black King, Max Lord (rip), being responsible for our capture, but there are still so many mysteries left unsolved and coincidences to explore. Why were the ten of us captured? Why were we put into tubes and locked down with OMAC nanites? Checkmate made the OMAC's in the first place!? Why were we all rescued on the same day? Why were we given so much trust within Checkmate, before getting our powers back, (ignoring that we're PC's)? And why is Waller so sure of it all?

It's hard not to love Waller. She fills her position perfectly. But that nagging feeling that there is a game being played beyond our comprehension still adds a small measure of danger and uncertainty that keeps the mind churning and suspicions on high alert.

There's no doubt that Waller is leading the resistance against Darkseid, and saving the Earth is her goal. But we still have to figure something out - who kidnapped the PC's, and why?

Hint for 4: This character is small.

(might use a new topic for the top 4 and final HM not sure)

Honorable Mention: Trish McKenzie
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/2/4/8/AAOJ0pAADbyY.jpg
I could say 1001 things about Trish. I'll try to stick with maybe 30.

So in Campaign 1, when doing chargen, I took note of the disadvantage one could take of "Dependent". Disadvantages were important - had to be taken to get more points to spend to make your character. So Fields (to the right of the picture there) had himself a sister - one who liked to party, wasn't really good for much, but lived with him in Gotham. She quickly became a twin. And then campaign hit, and she became a damsel in distress at one point. We rescued her... and things quickly took off.

In campaigns full of already-established characters, blank slates quickly become a powerful boon. See, Amanda Waller is Waller. Deadshot is Deadshot. These characters do get put through a lens of Scarlet's where they develop in ways where they maybe haven't in comics, or perhaps have certain aspects of their characters and their past explored more than they have. For example, Scar says our Hal Jordan explores his immeasurable guilt in a way that comics might not have. But he's still Hal. Characters such as Pixie, or TNTeena, who have such small parts in comics, those are given the full treatment. After all, much creativity is needed to distinguish characters, and these ones that don't exist much in the comics give the most freedom for design.

So what happens with a character who is completely new?

Well, when Patricia was first thought up by myself, I didn't plan too much with her. I thought she'd be around, and maybe just maybe, I could bring her around as a campaign 2 character in the future. But little did I know she was develop into infinity... perhaps literally?

And because she was Fields's twin, she quickly became attached to Oracle as well. We sort of organically created this past between the three - going to uni together, Fields's crush on Babs always being there, and Trish just being Babs's friend.

Trish was a party girl, not the most responsible. She loved superheroes. She loved danger. This quickly turned into something, as she had Thawne's Syndrome - a syndrome where she developed really bad fatigue and needed to produce her own adrenaline. Fields wanted to help his sister but wasn't quite available, but since he was a hero now, she could get training, so he turned to a man that he had foolishly started adopting as a father figure...
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/2/4/9/AAOJ0pAADbyZ.jpg
Deathstroke took Trish under his wing and begun training her. And she was learning, but getting roughed up in the process. Eventually, she started having weird issues crop up. She was losing bits of her memory. She was saying things that didn't make sense. She was losing control. And eventually, appearing like some weird version of the Reverse Flash, she disappeared.

See, this is when things got a little out of control - turns out that Fields and Trish's true dad was the Reverse Flash who went through time and used the twins' mother. And Thawne would mess with Trish some more - implanting something within her blood. And that would break out of control.

See, there used to be a multiverse. Then it all came together in the Crisis on Infinite Earths. But Thawne had designs that required tech from the future and someone with his blood, and short of it is that Trish had the multiverse, the Bleed, within her.

Her issues had arisen from multiple versions of herself, inside her head, fighting it out to determine who would be remaining, and be the prime Trish. We eventually went into her head and had to convince the lot to off themselves so that we could pick one who took over. This means that we dealt with a Joker Trish, Star Sapphire, zombie, Bana-Migdhall Trish, Reverse-Flash Trish, and more. Eventually, we settled on one that was sort of playing us, but still seemed a good choice - Patricia Luthor, a version who had been adopted by Lex.

So back in the real world, Trish's personality changed. She became xenophobic. She became really smart, in her own way. She started tinkering. She started wearing suits. She developed a meta ability to kick things to make them work - a version of technomancy.

And then Lex came to town and Trish got mad and went to hang with him and work with him but then eventually we got her back and then Fields and Trish apologized to each other and reunited and post-campaign became explorers of the multiverse.

Then they disappeared.

Trish brought so much anxiety and fun and development to campaign 1 that really cemented her as no. 1 in that campaign for me, leaving poor Babs at 2 most of the time. She was fantastic. But in campaign 2, I am playing a new character, Fields and Trish disappeared, and who knows where they went.

Over time, we've found out. The Clocktower was leveled in Gotham, but Trish's basement lab was still there, with her answering machine. Fields was captured on some other Earth, and people were looking for Trish to help.

See, we've also come to learn that something has poisoned the Bleed. The Bleed which escaped from Trish that her and Fields were exploring.

Now, this may have been all. But then we went to Doom Manor, of the Doom Patrol, and found that she spent a summer there as a teen, conversing with Crazy Jane and the Chief. She had a tough time, dealing with these other versions of her in her head, but came to realize that something had to be done... that thing?

Have Zatanna fuck with her mind.

Seriously, Zee is hooked up to everything in this campaign.

So when the memories in Misty's head started developing, becoming more fully-fledged and linking with their real selves, Trish-memory became smart. Realized all the things her prime self went through. And took advantage, taking control of Misty for but a moment, to speak with Oracle and get a message out - the Bleed was in trouble and needed help. And she gave a message that translated to "Come to Rann in the galaxy and go through big hands with a Lantern corps helping to get you to the Bleed to come help".

Not a whole lot of Trish this campaign, but the bits that are there are so infused with care and love that these few moments have made such a huge impact.

Trish is out there somewhere, and she will return, but through what machinations, over how much time? Who knows. All I know is that she was one fo the absolute best, and in any RPG I've played, I haven't cared for an NPC like this girl. My fake sister.

(My real sister might take umbrage with this - don't tell her!)

There's so much baggage attached to this too - Trish worked for Lex. She liked him. He led the Society in taking control of the world after he got ousted as president.

Trish trained under Deathstroke, a father figure to the twins. Deathstroke joined Lex in the Society, helping take over the world.

Trish grew to resent Roz'etta quickly (because she was kind of a xenophobic bitch) - Roz'etta is going to find her for sure.

oh, and Trish invented a magic iPod called the Radio Tuner that can be turned on in battles to change the music and add a random effect to the battle. These effects have a tendency to fuck us over, which is really apt considering it's from Trish.

Oh, and she designed a voice box, using Mister Mind as an example, to give to Patch the rat, Data 7's friend, so that he can talk. So Patch can just speak through the voice box to humans and we all understand him.

She has had all these little effects, and I'm sure as we explore the galaxy and deal with the issue of Rann exploding due to sector-sized hands, we'll get even more Trish-effect, but let me tell you, I'm going to find this girl. Saoirse after all is a scientist, and is fascinated by all the things she has learned about her so far.

So very fascinated.

Bonus: here are some alterna-Trishes

We have more than a few Star Sapphires now too

There was a time where Han expressed he would have been more comfortable flirting with his real world sister than my character talking to Trish

Han also left out the part where he gave up his legs to the devil to just see if Trish was okay

It's tempting to linger in this moment, while every possibility still exists. But unless collapsed by an observer, they will never be more than possibilities.

It's a good thing that whoever screwed Belleblazer over and let her die isn't living in the main base of the party now.
