Wow wild stuff going on tonight

Vinco releases this crazy PR about Ted Farnsworth and Lisa King trying to set up a hostile takeover of Vinco through a bunch of bogus stuff like bad 8k filings with the SEC and internal sabotage and the board of directors removing them to avert the takeover
Then said PR is removed from the site making you wonder what actually happened there

But it was one of the top trends on Twitter for a while. Eyes are on it now for sure.

It will definitely move tomorrow. Not sure up or down though lol. Like obviously removing high ranking staff on corrupt stuff like that is bad but at the same time taking out the trash means something and a takeover wouldn't be attempted on a worthless company (and the language in the PR implied that the board thinks the company was very undervalued). And of course there's a chance the PR is like wrong outright and thats why it was taken down. But there ain't gonna be no barcoding that's for sure

That deleted piece also had the new interim CEO say he's got some cost-cutting in front of him which sounds like a mixed bag. Still probably a net decrease in dilution odds. But some pretty wild stuff. It makes me want to get my money far away from the company but logically it should decrease downside risk.

BBIG halt. Common for merger.

This is where my quest ends. One way or another. It's either that or some sort of fraud investigation which I can't imagine ends well but if it was the latter Tyde would be halted too.

Hopefully the good news is tomorrow and not after 10+ more days of halted trading.

On one hand, merger news would be surprising to me due to Zash getting that new CEO, what, a week ago? So I suppose that ZVV entity is handling most of the paperwork.

But on the other hand, with bbig dilution probably a no, I've read that their runway isn't as long as their cash holdings would suggest. So the merger wrapping up soon makes sense on that front.

Definitely not the time frame I was hoping for, but moon bux into the ETH merge is still on the table

My theory is this.

This is a merger halt, however because of the change of CIK requiring shorts to be covered as well as the ridiculous amount of naked shorting in the stock and the current market cap being at odds with the provided valuation in the merger paperwork that NASDAQ is needing to unwind this pile of corrupt shit in the stock before they resume trading.

I don't have any options expiring until Aug 19 (and the vast majority of them don't expire till Oct) so I'm okay with waiting. I do not see this unfreezing without a massive gap up-- especially not with the massive buys of shares and options that took place yesterday.

I just hope BBIG goes to moon before FUBO recovers too much. I want them cheapies.

The longer this takes the longer I think this is a reverse LK situation (market maker fraud is putting the price way lower than it should be) and I was spot on with the "market cap is grossly at odds with the valuation"

The huge buys we saw the day it halted (which did not move the price) could have very well been part of the investigation. It would make a lot of sense. 1.3 million share buy moving it like 2 cents and being shorted back down within an hour is not normal.

I think the time limit for a halt like this is 10 days so it should unhalt well before any options expire at least. I'm calm.

Rumors spreading that Susquehanna (the BBIG market maker) got hit with a 50 billion margin call today, leaked email notification. Mostly by AMC and GME people

Interesting coincidence if so. Wonder if there was an investigation as I'm theorizing and they were forced to cover a bunch of naked BBIG shorts which spilled over into needing margin calls.

Nope. Only non BBIG trade I have lined up any time soon is puts on AMC for the APE dividend. Saw how that one played out for BBIG not seeing AMC faring any better.

I'm done playing fed meetings. It just seems to swing randomly regardless of the news. I'll stick to OPEC meetings less people paying attention to that.

Just the typical algo transient. Markets are down right now probably in anticipation of the news. I forgot if it was inflation or rate hikes but you seemed pretty certain of the somewhat-fake trading behavior. If it's real alpha, make some scratch off it

So to be clear my tinfoil hatting of the market being phony theory says that I don't think the fed meeting will be a catalyst for a bounce

What I think will happen

Fed meeting will cause the markets to move way down relative to where they should be going. Either a HUGE overreaction to bad news (like market crash levels), or a significantly negative reaction to neutral/good news (market crash attempted, but too many bought the dip).
At that point the timer will be on, as the algo will have overextended and will need to cover violently at some point.

At THAT point you buy a bunch of calls on SPY or QQQ or whatever for like 3-6 months out to wait out the can kicking measures available to big money.

I mean best of luck to you. I do believe it tends to go up in a vacuum if it's been going down, but it's not reliable enough for me to want to risk anything at the moment.

Got a cool 7% on slightly favorable CPI figures. Though it'll be hard not to spend it all in one place because of, well, the inflation.

I threw in 10 shares of BBBY just for the hell of it just to see what happens.

Still waiting on actual news for BBIG. This is just hype. The halt was seemingly due to the interim CEO causing the stock to be non NASDAQ compliant. Now he's suing Ted but the counter argument from Ted's council is much much better. Looks like this guy has been involved in some real shady stuff and he went power crazy as he was being found out. (He's been being investigated for months. Weird story. I'll give the summarized version later if anyone cares)

Looking real strong that this Colucci guy is gonna get destroyed here though which could make the stock moon. Very possible short sellers knew of his cancerous influence in the company and were confident due to that.

I'll give an update when its known. I loaded 800 shares at the bottom off the halt. Feels like the perfect storm here for it to go nuts off of any good news though (hearing is just about to start). Meme season hitting is good timing for all of this. My portfolio is already up 8k.

So the hearing today was brief.

All that occurred

Judge ordered no terminations, no board meetings, and enough cash to cover payroll (the restraining order was impeding non Team Colucci people from participating in these)
Judge agreed to devote Wednesday and Thursday afternoon and all of Friday as needed to resolving the case asap.
The court also ordered transcripts of the board meetings that the defense could not get.

So probably as well as it could have realistically been expected to go imo. But the coming days will be more important. My main fears were that it would move like a sloth or the judge would not prevent Colucci from continuing to run amok while the hearing was going which seem to be at ease now-- the facts are strongly against Colucci right now so as long as it gets resolved quickly things are looking good.

Let's talk about something that isn't BBIG for once

AMC.

So AMC has an APE dividend. 8/19 is ex-dividend, 8/22 is distribution date. What it's going to do is reduce the value of AMC shares, and give shareholders a share of APE at a 1:1 rate.

I think the blueprint for how this is going to play out has already been tested by BBIG's Tyde dividend, where the value of Tyde was shredded before every broker was even able to distribute it and it was hard to buy/sell otherwise for some time. APE as a preferred share isn't even buyable with a lot of brokers. Who cares if you've got naked shorts, just "have trouble distributing the shares" and recycle the same ones to everyone as people panic sell when the price implodes.

You can see that they may very well be preparing for this at this moment. Why is the market running right now? Well here's how I theorize the plan of attack.

1. Run AMC up as you cover some of the shares at a cheaper level, hope some people chase as the stock moves. This happened last week when AMC ran from 15 to 25
2. Hold AMC in place as you run other stocks you're shorting to free up margin-- you can't let AMC run too hard otherwise you get margin calls, so it's being strategically frozen in the mid 20s. AMC holders are "dumb money" and still HODLING for their APE shares so you don't have to risk too much retail getting in the way of you covering. This is currently happening.
3. On the distribution date, use all the margin you've recovered from freeing up pressure on other stocks and covering some of AMC to short the hell out of APE and AMC on two fronts. APE is going to be hard to buy and a bunch of people won't even get it, so it's basically a free short. Continue to cover on other stocks to apply more pressure as needed. If AMC holders chase on the other stocks, great, you can cover your shorts on AMC easier in a week or two. If they don't, you cover your shorts on other stocks easier right now.

My plan.

But 8/26 or 9/3 PUTS that are far out of the money on 8/19. I'm talking like around 50% of the stock price. Premiums will be super low.

Flip the puts when the price implodes early next week. I'm thinking AMC will be at like $6 and APE will be at like $3 before 8/26, assuming the price stays around 25 through end of week.

Observe if other shorted stocks and the market as a whole is going up or not. If they are, buy AMC as it is likely AMC holders are continuing to hold and it's going to supernova in a few months. If they're not, buy... I dunno, DNN or FUBO or something. *shrug

We'll see. The other possibility is that the APE dividend will do what it's supposed to and expose naked shorting and make the stock go nuts, but as I literally just saw this fail in BBIG I'm not going to bet on that. I do think EVENTUALLY it'll achieve that goal in both stocks, but not for a few months. Just too many dumb tools they have to suppress prices.

Oh also the sector that hasn't pumped yet that will before 8/19 is weed

I've got some TLRY calls because I like the company the most. We'll see if they play out.

TLRY calls looking STRONG up 100% already. I went pretty aggressive with them though. The 6c for next week. I don't think it's too ridiculous though. A 30% move from here puts them at the money. Would be really tame for these meme squeezes-- this thing has run nearly 100% on these squeezes in the past.
