Doubt it'll be archived, but Vox Akuma basically put the hammer down on his fans. Basically told them that if they're going to continue attacking everyone he collabs with they can fuck off(more or less directly). And they'll likely be banned if he catches them doing it anywhere.

Honestly asmongold handles this the best imo. He has mod in a bunch of his friends chats, so basically he has his mods take notes of who gets banned during every collab he's in, then cross bans them in every chat he and his mods have mod in. Basically just yeet their account from the entire community in one fell swoop.

Yeah cross ban is something a lot of close friend streamer groups tend to do nowadays. Holo and Niji are really behind on this regard. They should take away complete global chatting rights to anybody showing anti-behavior

That's really hard for corporate Vtubers to do though, also Japan is behind when it comes to online anti-culture, including the cops (although they are the only ones catching up to it).

It's not that hard if they use the right bots. But who knows if Youtube has APIs to make it even possible. Nightbot for Youtube chat worked out for Riot in LoL pro league recently so I can't imagine it'll be hard to implement the same stuff people tend to use for Twitch.

I feel like a lot of it won't be done in youtube chat itself though so chat moderation can only go so far

Vox was doing a boyfriend ASMR stream, and Reimu was doing a FNAF stream(well, indie horror game stream) and called Vox for help, which Vox actually worked in to the stream as he got a phone call and briefly nerded out about FNAF.

Long and short, people got super fucking angry and threw mountains of hate at Reimu, who is apparently a legit good friend with Vox, and Vox kinda blew a gasket at his fans. Told them to leave forever if that's how they want to believe/he was disgusted by them and so on in a separate stream(the one I linked). He also thanked people for holding him accountable because he was letting the behavior slide too much, even though it was costing him collabs.

Nightbot blocks chat spam better than whatever the fuck Cover seems to be using. So manual antis and bots can both be handled way better than what they're doing right now. Mostly learned a lot of what Cover really isn't doing enough from the recent LoL tourney.

Btw, that situation was also based on China getting mad and using similar spam bots

well yeah this is true. but considering that a non-significant amount of the abuse was on platforms like twitter as well I think it's important for vox to kinda put his foot down here instead of solely relying on improving chat tools.

also I kinda doubt cover has any sort of automated chatting moderation beyond whatever just comes default with youtub
