Agreed with physical Snow Giant being awful. That one took me a long time, and if it weren't for my uber-Locke from banner 4, I'd probably still be stuck on that one.

Yeah the 5 second wall really is a pickle, if it wasn't for that I would sub30 magic Anima, Alexander and both Sandworms.

The scary thing is that nexus Shiva is apparently even harder than Snow Giant, oof and I can't seem to get that much needed Master sync despite putting in like 40 tickets into FF1.

I guess for Shiva I could improve my current team by lensing Balthier's AASB1 if I need to... hopefully that'll be enough

I know Shiva has the painting gimmick from season 1, but beyond that, I don't know what makes her so difficult.

Apparently she's really fast like Enkidu was, but I felt Enkidu was easier than Snow Giant (though both are awful)

Was busy yesterday, so I couldn't get to the D650 Hellhouse fight until today. I killed it on the first attempt, but I came very close to dying in phase 3.

I really don't know what my Sephiroth's problem is, but his damage was downright pathetic. What's the point to his BDL9 if he can maybe, occasionally, break 20k.

Come to think of it, this is really just the next one in a long line of disappointing Sephiroth performances, because he wasn't really impressing me against Alexander either.

Makes me wonder if Tifa with Sync2 and AASB1 would perform better.

Decided to pull on the banner. Got angeal da, chain, and Barrett dyad. Is cloud chain good or a trap I can't tell lol. It looks fantastic but yeah

The CSB+s are very good, yeah (not an issue for realm since you almost always would take the RW chain anyway, but the main drawback with them is that you can only use them once so they probably dont eliminate your need for another chainer on an elemental team)

I use the Cloud CSB all the time in my labyrinth auto teams. Tidus's realm chain was part of why I killed FFX bahamut so fast too.

Got 650 7 to 4.2% first try. No idea if using angeal with da/aasb and barret with nothing but usb/aasb for break/dyad are the best choices but that was with barrett dead phase 3 too.

I have so much tech on cloud just doing my best to juggle it lol

Update: everyone died but angeal and cloud. Angeal used last stand glint and cloud dyad'd and choco LImited the final 9% gg

I got Hilda awakening from the daily today! Sweet now I have healer awakenings in every realm except FF6 (though Mog might as well be the healer for FF6 anyway.)

My daily was two useless Ingus relics: his LMR2 (en-earth) and his SSB1.

The second one I think, the one that gives quickcast every two white magic, bard or dancer uses.

I thought she only had 1 awakening too so this is a pleasant surprise. No medica chase is a bummer though.

Man, Im having some crazy luck with this new lab group. Ive already gotten perfect passives for all of the new characters (even without doing the 650 yet) and got two of the three old ones I was missing.

Slots 1-3 get bit for one bar during wing wall. Slots 4+5 get bit for two bars later in phase two (avoidable if youre fast enough). Slot 1 gets a little bit less bar than everyone else and slot 3 will be the only one hit by sphere ray if youre doing that correctly (but the interrupt would probably cost you more bar than youd gain from the extra hit).

In addition to what LotM said, slot 4 should get 50 points more than slot 5, because of the opening turns in phase 1, where slots 1 and 5 get hit once, but slots 2-4 get hit twice.

Basically, if you can avoid the slot 4+5 Memory Bite, slot 4 is best. If you can't, slot 2 is best.

I got two dupe Thief glint+s with my ticket, at first I thought I got his awakening 2, but when I saw the second one didn't rank up that was bad news.

Finally time to do Hellhouse (and Tiamat) later today!

I redid VII DK last night with the new HE and Zack (with his DA) instead of Rufus. I brought my time down to 25.20, so hopefully I should be set for Hell House! (I also brought my phys Shiva time down to 15.50 thanks to Locke and Quina)

Also apparently JP is about to nerf DBs (related to status effects I think) and DKs (removing memory bite, dispel for V/XI/T DK, and reducing damage reduction for XI DK)

Slow to start up and I constantly felt like I was on the verge of dying, but I got it second try (first try he killed Mog; ended up having to have Aerith Curada him a few times)

Did my Alexander missions. He's a tough one on physical, even though I have a pretty great team with DK Cecil's sync2+DASB combo.

Does anyone use the elemental dampen magicites? If so what does your deck look like?

I havent been using the dampens at all, just using the level 18 empowers on my offensive 6*

I use dampens on a third defensive magicite of that element.

I also got the other two tickets today, first one got me Sarah's 3 quickcast USB finally! Second was a dupe USB of her's as well.

Sheesh I'm just gonna dream select Thief's awakening 2 at this point. Despite the shallow pool and putting like what 40 tickets in FF1 the game seems to refuse to give me a second cap break for him and the bio Labyrinth is soon.

Got a dupe Lunafreya sync on my grab bag, aw what a disappointing mog ball. Not even a rank up since I never use her despite having her awakening as well.

Did the Tiamat missions. 650 seemed really tough and Balthier's damage specifically seemed awful. Even though he's the only one with no hero equipment but it still seemed surprising. I died at 2.2% and when I checked sure enough he had a +gun RM while using a sword. I'm pretty sure I fixed that before my first clear but forgot to re-save the team. Was able to get the clear after that. Last missions left are for VII, I think I'll try a magic team there this time just for fun.

Yeah Ive seen people saying that Tiamat was easier than the DK and I dont really get it. The latter was an easy first try sub-30 for me and Tiamat was over 35 seconds with the same team and a relatively hard time surviving.

I tried magic Kraken (just going for 70% to get Queens armor) and somehow got him below 10% with just 3.5 BDL. The least tech Ive had for a lab boss win was 4.5 for Tiamat, so I was pretty surprised I was able to get that far.

The key ended up being using the RW chain to free up Golbez to actually use all of his BDL (DA, SA1, AA)

(Apparently I timed that screenshot poorly; the time is 24.92). My original clear was like 36s with Zack dying right after using his dual. I also found out that I had for some reason brought an offensive Titan and defensive Valefor instead of the reverse. Anyway, this took probably like 7 or 8 tries because Zack and Elarra kept dying (even in this run they died at the end), but I eked it out.

I got three discos from the daily today!

Hilda AASB2, Fang USB2, Yuna USB4 (dupe)

Dualcast bard on Hilda's AA2 is interesting (though it sacrifices the normal healing chase).

Hilda does have a "chance for weak party heal after Bard" LM2, and her HA is a Bard ability with a fixed HP restore. ...But a guaranteed Medica chase would be better.

I dream'd mog's AASB2 this morning and have gotten 5 new DKs.

I honed Mog AASB2 today and it actually pushed me to a clear of D650 Tiamat! ...But trying to do hard fights on Speed 1 instead of Wait Mode 2 is just ugh.

Yeah I tried her out by reclearing II DK and the procs from her LM (plus Mog) were pretty good healing still. Being able to ramp up critfix at 20% a turn instead of 10% is nice (though thats irrelevant outside of realm for me now that I have Quina). She also still gets the normal heal chase off of white magic and dancing.

And yeah agreed that having to play on active mode for lab fights sucks. Restarting because you misclicked something is not fun gameplay!

Apparently I still had one S2 easy mode to do (magic Snow Giant); I also cleared easy modes for phys Sandworm and magic Abductor.

I was just doing a test run with the new stuff I got from constantly putting in tickets but Theif and Master went fucking crazy with dualcasts even though I screwed up a bunch like bringing Sarah's USB1 instead of her USB4 and Orran not having enough meter to use his sync at the start of phase 3 and then getting bitten and losing that meter when he was about to cast it but Thief and Master just muscled through King's rage even after that 70% full break.

Congrats! FF1 DK sub-30 was easily the most frustrating for me (albeit with me not having done XI)

Are you guys also going for Quickcast on Cait Sith's weapon?
I don't think I'll ever want to actually have him attack an enemy, so that weakness boost is as useless as it gets.

Yeah, I did QC. He has summon access, but given that his AA doesnt speed that up I cant even see using that for gauge.

Dont know if it was actually necessary, but I lensed Arcs imperil G+ for this. Besides that though Ive had all of the tech I used for quite a while; I just didnt realize that the RW chain was viable with Cait+Mog until I used it for my Alex sub-30.

I got a 100 gem disco off that Bartz banner but it was a dupe Bartz Wind awakening, 11/15 now sheesh.

That Bartz banner actually completely skips the BDL I have for him (SA2, AA1+3); my only dupe there is Faris's realm chain. Still, probably not worth doing a full price pull on a banner with no duals.

I finally got around to finishing off the rest of the 580 labs. Too bad the S1 ones don't give tickets! All of them are sub-30 besides phys Anima because my holy phys is garbage. I also counted and apparently I've done just over half of the real lab bosses! (12/23)

I feel like sap is an overdone status effect. I kind of wish DeNA would significantly reduce the amount of endgame content that uses it. They can definitely come up with a lot of ways to make end game content hard.

Sap is basically how the enemy plays around last stand, which is fair

I actually agree it's a bit annoying though as you can sometimes be killed before you can heal from being put to 1 depending on where the attack hits you on your healer's ATB

I think using poison more often in place of sap would make the game more enjoyable overall

My actual least favorite thing in the game is when the boss breaks your last stand, you were waiting with your healer and immediately use an instant heal, but sap kills you before the "instant" heal goes off. If they just got rid of that mechanic I wouldn't mind sap much.
