1/11 - Cyan Dyad

Well, I have his AASB1 too, so there's that.

I pulled because of the 50% discount:
Cyan AASB, Celes DASB
A new DASB for 25 mythril? Sure, I'll take it, even if my Celes isn't exactly great (only have her AASB1)

I did the half off and got Sabin AASB2. It's... fine. I have his Sync so he's kinda usable for content now.

I'm trying to resist the urge to draw because I'd need at least 2 relics for any of these characters to really become useful. There are too many other banners I like more.

Sabin and Cyan don't for some reason. Celes's AASB1 is lensable (and it's the one that I already have)

Finally got something really nice from the daily: Larsa's AASB2. A fullbreak counter on a character who has easy access to Crit damage and HQC.

Honestly, I could even see myself replacing Mog or Orran with Larsa with that relic.

Fire Labyrinth 2 can't get here soon enough. This group feels long already, it's hard to believe we had 4 week groups at the beginning.

This group haa not been kind to me.

A bunch of quick explores quickly gave me perfect passives for Rufus, and I've pretty much been doing 1 manual run of the Cait/Elena/Genesis group a day (missed maybe 3 days). Neither of those 3 characters is 5/5/8 yet (QC 5 for CS).

Luckily, those characters aren't exactly important. Well, CS is important, but he benefits so little from the passive, I really don't care all that much.

Yeah, part of why I'm bored with this group is Cait is the only one I care about, and I got his best armor/accessory from the lab boss, and then randomly got his 5% QC weapon from a quick explore.

The next group has much better characters, although initially I think I'll only use Papalymo and Balthier.

Season 4 stars tomorrow and we got a new Nexus boss, FF8 Shiva. She's said to be one of the hardest bosses (that's pretty scary if she's harder than Snow Giant!)

Magic I should be okay with Braska, Rubicante and Ace, physical I'm worried about since I only beat Snow Giant through luck. I wish I got Master's sync...

Apparently Shiva has a slow in P3, so that will be super fun

Im somewhat optimistic about being able to beat phys Shiva since Locke S2+AA2 is so good, and I could improve my team if necessary by lensing either Balthier or Lockes AA1s. Who knows before actually trying, though.

Magic is lol no, I havent beat that Snow Giant and only have four BDL on the team.

I thought Snow Giant was by far the hardest Lab boss yet, easily harder than the season 1 bosses.
So when people say Shiva is on par with Abductor and harder than Snow Giant, that's a bit of a contradiction to me.
That said, I'm extremely curious how well I'll do here.

I assume I'll be able to do this but I'm still bummed I didn't get Vivi's DA or even his dyad. But I have 6 cap breaks including Papa's ATB sync, I have an LBO for Vincent, and of course Cait/Mog.

For physical I'm even more stacked with Noctis's sync/DASB combo (and dyad/awakening), Locke's sync2+awakening 2 combo (and awakening 1), and Balthier with dyad/sync/awakening/chain.

5/10 off the daily today (nothing useful, though): Zidane LBG, Rydia LMR1, Beatrix LMR2, Nine BSB, Palom SSB2

Sigh... don't know whether to keep using tickets on FFT/XI or switch to an element (I was thinking earth because I have no multi-BDL earth mages, but my earth phys is stacked).

Hmm, I now have honed mog/cait sith so I guess its time to try harder on these evil lab bosses...!

for fire I have Vivi's Dyad/Sync and his awakening is lensable. I have Vincent with his Chain/Awakening/LBO so those two are for sure in the show along with my supports.

Then... not sure. I have an Onion Knight with two different awakenings and the boy always hits really hard. No idea if that's enough to get the job done or even close, but I haven't sat down to try snow giant yet since getting mog so that can be done this weekend.

For physical I have stuff but I probably need to do research into how they interact. Greg has chain/sync (and may be worth pulling tonight to try to get terra stuff and his stuff, but I have nothing for zell so...!) and then I have Squall with sync and two awakenings, steiner with sync, awakening, LBO, Delita with Sync and awakening, Ignis with 2 awakenings and a sync, and Seifer with DASB, awakening, and Dyad. Oh I guess faris has sync and awakening too but damn she hits like a noodle.

My physical team is for sure going to have enough cap breaks, but I dont do enough research to know how quality they are. From 'random experience' Delita hits like a fucking truck though no idea if thats math or just my imagination.

But since wait2 I have been trying to get better at cutting edge content, so I hope to do my best.

The newest labyrinths don't allow wait 2, sadly. They have the bad old wait 3.5 mode only.

Oh I know, I just meant that getting all the wodins and a lot of DKs down got me a lot of cool stuff to try out more and more harder content. DK Record Boards + fully loaded odins is nice!

At first I was thinking "She does a lot of damage, but she's not really that hard" ...up until the last 40%, her bulk even after the 5 second wall is over is insane! Rubicante couldn't break cap even with 6 imperil and max chain! Still Braska and Ace muscle'd through it with their awakenings!

Beat both easy modes. Something went wrong for magic (I guess it must have been that she got a green painting?), because my damage went absolutely to shit in P3 even after removing aegis and I barely sub-30d.

Vivi's a beast. Sub 30 on my first try (650).

Physical is turning out to be much harder for me even though my team is arguably more stacked. I just can't keep the team alive with Elarra and Quina in 650... going to have to sacrifice some damage output and use Orran/Lenna instead I think.

With Quina+Elarra I used Elarra's SA1 turn 2, U2 around the chain dropping, U1 after the P2 gravity attack, and her AASB right after the slowga (spamming her SA1 C2 in between); I think it required Quina entrusting twice (but the second wasn't a full two bars iirc?). I also needed to bring my health/healing Madeen which I had initially dropped.

Yeah Shiva's damage is really rough to deal with in the later phases. Sarah's hero ability gives a party damage reduction barrier so I used that to prevent slots 4 and 5 from dying.

I'm going through the dungeon update right now, and I have to say I'm really disappointed.
What's with the lack of "Otherworld" in the BFA fight? I don't even like the song all that much, but the wrong soundtrack bothers me a lot. FFRK tends to pay a lot of attention to the correct soundtrack, so this mistake really feels weird.

Yes!! So happy to have another cap break for Rubicante since he's on my magic fire and FF4 realm teams! This is should be a shot in the arm for elemental Bahamuts and Crystal Dungeon Zeromus!

I got Josef's awakening 1 from the free draw. Well he was on my physical Enkidu team so getting another cap break is nice since the second ice Nexus is soon.

There are some good banners starting this week with the XIII banner with dual awakenings for Raines, Sazh, Hope, and Fang. Next week is bio labyrinth. Two weeks after that is the Rydia/Master/Freya banner, which I also like. I probably only have enough mythril for 3 or 4 pulls combined so this is going to be tough.

1/11 - Raines Glint+. Meh. It is a useful glint, but it's just a glint. Really wanted Hope's DA (again)
