The last pull saved it, pull 3 was a huge disappointment. I wanted Valvalis's dual awakening and Quina's glint but I got a lot of good stuff.

I was thinking about doing a pull on banner 4 but the FF8 banner looks a lot better, especially since the first Crystal dungeon is FF8 and Banner 5 next fest has Quina sync and glint+ anyway.

2/11 Edea sync and Fujin Dual Awakening! I just wanted another cap break for both of them, Edea shame Edea is dark infusion instead of ice but the sync command is ice infusion. Also she has a good HA now!

What makes you think the FF8 one seems better? I want Fujin stuff but overall it looks like kind of a weak banner with only 2 dual awakenings, compared to banner 4 with 3 dual awakenings and an ATB sync.

I probably won't use Barb or Alisaie in realm or elemental while I only have 1 cap break for Fujin and Edea, I use Fuijin in realm (and maybe wind now because I can replace Alph with her since I can lense her chain) and Edea is my ice chain holder. Edea's sync is also a Hope/Braska like sync with extra cap breaks which is basically as good as dual.

Pretty easy, but not sub 30 sadly. My damage tanked in phase 3 even though I countered the aegis, I think it's because I didn't have an imperil and his wind resistance was up to +3 for a while.

I could use some help making my sync picks. For the free gift there are only two choices, Maria or Ultimecia. Maria is more useful, but her sync 1 is totally obsolete if I get her sync 2 later. I already have her awakening and CSB+ though. Ultimecia won't make any elemental team right now, but the advantage is that the sync isn't obsolete and if I get her CSB+ later (or a DASB or whatever) she could be useful.

For stamps, the main choices are Snow, Rikku, or Ignis, unless there are any powerful ones I'm forgetting. Snow's probably the leading contender because I got his DASB this fest. Rikku I have her chain, awakening, and dyad, and she's on my water team. I'm not sure if Ignis is very good but the callback to his BSB seems interesting.

I think the existence of Maria S2 isn't a huge deal since it'd be basically the same situation as duping it later (so you can think of it like a double future dupe chance). That does apply to a lot of free sync options, though

I still haven't made my select choices either; for the free one I'm considering OK/Pecil/Rinoa/Maria and for 100 myth I'm considering Delita/Laguna/Kefka/Shantotto/Mog.

Sheesh the issue is going too fast that Mog doesn't have enough meter for awakening 2 in phase 3's start which wrecked my damage until then. Well a sub30 is a sub30.

Featuring Cait crit fix BSB (after first accidentally lending his inferior critfix SSB) and Lockes insane SA2+AA2 combo. I originally tried with Strago instead of Edgar, but this fucker bars way too much fire. My fire clear barely missed the sub-30 (30.25), but I got him on the next attempt.

This was an extremely sloppy kill (Zack literally died after using his dual and had to be rezzed; surprised I still won); hopefully I can get the sub-30 with everybody living

Ticket day! Saw 3 discos, got dupe USBs and Garland's limit break glint, his other one since it's new.

I also got a 5% buster sword for Cloud with a record market today so he's 5/5/8 now! Just need to get perfects for Strago and Thief now!

Im just missing perfect Thief and Alisaie weapons.

Jeez, I ran the 450 lab dungeon. I found a shimmering painting and got a Stardust Rod, which is good because I can use Strago in magic water teams.

Bad news: It was Briefly Raise user's Magic a moderate amount. Ooooofff.. The 400/450 are full of those, or damage reduction barrier ones.

Used my ticket on the fire banner, since Shiva is the next challenge (Hellhouse won't stand a chance)

4/11: Scott Glint (dupe), Locke SB+empower G+, Auron AASB2, Master Sync
Very happy with that result. After getting the AASB2 on banner 4, I was looking at Locke's lensable options and I was considering picking up that G+.
I already have Auron's Sync, and his AASB1 Is lensable, so he's a potential triple BDL character
I don't have anything else for Master, but that Sync is strong if I ever get another BDL for him.

In other news, after my 500 fest mythril, I immediately picked my Shantotto Sync, and I just want to take this opportunity to say a big "Fuck you" to FFXI Bahamut. This is the most BS Bahamut fight ever. I got him down to 30.95 in my best try so far. I'm also really starting to hate Toto's triple-cast LMR. If that garbage could proc at the right time, the sub-30 would be in the bag, but that pos only likes to proc in phase 1 before I use the Sync+AASB.

I still don't think I've ever seen a shimmering painting...

I know I probably shouldn't have but I did another pull on the FF8 banner and got Fujin's LBO and Edea dyad, because I'm so close to sub30'ing Earth Guardian, but even with that I'm still a second or two short of a sub30! Been trying for 3 hours, but always close but no cigar or I get killed by sap (of course!)

I guess I should just give up for now and wait until Alphinad's hero gear is out, that might get me that close win with an instant cast and extra soul gauge.

This took a few tries since I was RW chaining and had to do a one chain strat since Quina can only critfix once. Firion is kinda faking being holy with his ice sync + AA2, WoL has dyad+AA1, and Celes has her holy sync.

Quina's critfix lasts 25 seconds, so you can do two chains (just not two full chains).

Did two more LotRs on the realms where I still need DK sub-30s

Yeah, true. I wanted to get the most out of my BDL though since I had a weaker team than I had used for past physical clears, and accounting for a few seconds to rez between chains Id have critfix for like half of the second one at most (plus no constant phys QC since I dont have Quinas AA1).

Also sheesh Edea is beast with her new sync, I'm close to getting a sub30 on Nexus Alexander with it, damn 5 second wall! It's funny because earlier I was looking at her record boards and saw the dark infusion bonus and didn't active it because I thought "why would I ever use Edea for dark?" Surprised there was no hype for that sync.

1.5+2.5+3 BDL to barely make it. I have no idea how some people do it with like 4BDL.

Also I had to use active mode to mitigate the effect of all of the extra ticks which meant tons and tons of restarts not fun

Seems like I used my 8% Fujin accessory as augment fodder at some point because I forgot to lock it. Ugh. At least it was the accessory, so I expect to get a new 8% one before I'm done with Strago's armor.

I've now made one of my selections at least... just the USB, though. I wasn't sure I was even gonna take something nonlensable because it's such a short list now, but ended up settling on Garnet bUSB for the imperils.

I have been lazy and didn't sub 30 all the dream breakers... I just did 2, 3, and 10 so now the only one left is core. My core team is pretty underpowered so I'm going to keep putting that one off.

It turns out I was able to sub-30 my last beaten but not subbed DK (IV) after all with no new tech (just a better strategy):

It turns out the key was just being more aggressive with Golbez; his awakening generates extra gauge (as long as he keeps his bubble), so I could use that in P1 along with Edges sync and just barely have enough gauge to cast both his sync and DA during wing wall. My previous clear was like 44 seconds since I had to rechain.

I did something stupid and spent my remaing 100 mythril from not pulling on the Sync select on banner 4 for a last attempt at Quina Sync:

That's 250 mythril and no Quina Sync (or AASB2 for that matter), but I'm super happy about that Locke Sync 2. I can't wait to see what kind of carnage I can do with AASB2+Sync2

Thanks, and ouch on the Quina misses. His sync is apparently gonna be back on B5 next fest (and dreamable soon I think?); no idea if/when the AA2 recurs. But yeah Locke S2+AA2 is certainly a nice consolation prize (and it looks like you got all of the duals as well)!

Yeah, I saw that it's back on the next banner 5, but despite the banner having 5 DASBs, I don't really like it: I have no BDL for Ace, Faris or Hope, so those aren't really enticing. Tyro's DASB is lol. That basically leaves only Ashe which would actually help me.
Mog Sync is a dupe, Cait Sync is worthless with a honed AASB, Tyro AASB2 can't compete with Mog.

I actually might go ahead and Dream select Quina Sync. I haven't spent any cash on FFRK in a very long time, but Quina Sync might be worth it.

I forgot how busted Lightning is. I got the 650 blue dragon down to like 13% and I didn't have a proper magicite deck and I feel like I may have messed up a few things.

Yeah I've only spent money for Cait's AA, but I probably would have dreamed Quina's sync too if I had missed it. DPS stuff definitely isn't worth 30 bucks for me, but since there are so few must-have support relics I can in principle justify them as just making my life easier in a game I've probably gotten more than $30 (or $60) of value out of at this point.

I don't have anything for Ace/Faris/Hope either, though I'd definitely like even one BDL for Hope to justify lensing his chain and slotting him into my magic holy team. Similar for Faris in wind phys, though I do have Zack's DA now and his chain is at least better than the RW. And I have Ashe's dyad/sync2 so her dual would be great for me.

Now that my exam is done though, I can spend a little more time putting together some teams and making progress though! Still only beaten 5 AOdins, so got 11 more of those.

Yeah I used Mog there. He does occasionally put up a massive RES buff too which I had Elarra counter with Stumble Step.

Yeah if you can beat multiple wodins you can probably beat some DBs. Three BDL is typically enough as long as you handle the full breaks (and Tyro is always an option for those).

Ah yeah, that's what did it. Rain was still capable of breaking rage 3 but Dr Mog was doing like 2-3k per hit.
