Hiphop, electronic, pop, rock and sometimes metal like Metallica or Rammstein will get played on there. No radio stations dedicated to metal or country or anything. You won't hear any Slayer on the radio here. There's like 2 stations that are dedicated to one particular thing, one of them plays classical music and the other one 80s and 90s nostalgia stuff. There were some music tv channels, like mtv etc here but they've all stopped or gone like mtv, reality shit etc. On this one channel there used to be like a weekly metal hour, first time I heard Meshuggah was on that channel for example. But I think that stopped 10-11 years ago. But yeah, American and British music is the most common music here, together with Flemish pop crap. On the radio it's a mishmash of genres. That's why underground stuff has only really gotten a bit of traction here since the internet and youtube really. Except for metal, there was always a tape trading thing going on here for years. They'll play a song, and then invite a guest or call someone and talk for 15 minutes. Then another song. That's the show. I found out that songs posted by the band themselves, like the 'Band - Topic' channels sometimes won't be shown depending on region. I had bad breathing problems and asthma as a kid and COVID didnt effect my breathing at all, that was my biggest fear. I was on 3 inhalers twice daily and a nebulizer, I had to repeat 3rd grade because I missed months of school with my problems.
