Im closing my Facebook account tonight (I want the people I spoke to to know Im leaving and Im leaving a message up for a day). Im just wondering about the rest of you.

yeah, but just because some of my friends still use it to invite people to parties. I havent posted anything publicly in years.

I mainly use it as a way to account bind mobile games.

I still have an account but I rarely use it. I never had a ton of FB friends bc I limited it to people I knew offline, so a bit over 100, and most of them stopped using theirs so there isn't much left. I'll probably still keep it around bc it has a lot of my communication with my mom from the last few years before she died, and a support group I want to go to once they start meeting in person again only seems to post their updates there, but otherwise I mostly stick to my Twitter.

the totality of my facebook activity was maybe an hour back when it was only open to students. but i never deleted my account so it probably still exists.

I deleted mine about 8 to 10 years ago, and never looked back.

Would like to get rid of it, just need to convince enough friends to use something other than messenger.

Yeah, it's largely how I keep up with a lot of people since I don't live near many of my friends anymore.

I occasionally look at what people are up to on it, and I use Facebook Messenger to communicate with some people, but I decided at some point this year to just not post on there anymore.

I had a token account about 20 years ago just so I could see what people were linking me to.

My sister has never figured out that I don't actually use Facebook and that she shouldn't assume that because she sends out invitations to her cookout via FB that I will ever see it.
