oh no way, thats my usual theater. Saw F9 there during that brief period where people didnt have to wear masks in businesses.

Im in the suburbs with my mom for a while so I probably wont actually go there for this one, but thats a fun coincidence

I still think ep3 might be my favourite... although mainly the first half of it is my fav whereas this one averages the best through the whole ep.

But Yelena's hilarious, she was the best part about Black Widow and she's better here (*cough*with Kate*cough*). Was really not expecting her to tell about Eleanor, at least not this fast but I guess there's just the finale left now. Also, shout-out to that opener because this is the best perspective we've got now of someone post-blip. I guess we had Monica Rambeau but this ep just portrayed an incredible amount of whiplash, "I was in there for 5 seconds, I come out and I've lost 5 years." contrasted with how easy-going Ana's about it. And then she gotta find Natasha...

Also wasn't expecting Eleanor to call the cops on Jack which makes me question just how much of a patsy he is or if he's going along with this show. And then lol suck it Eleanor, Yelena's already got you busted.

Ronin fight was alright, Maya still kinda just unimpressive, you'd think she'd have better awareness while the goons are getting taken down what with her lifelong sensory training. The talk between Clint & her was great though, opening up the mistrust in the organization, and likewise Kazi's looking sketchy. I miss having Kate in the action for this ep but revealing herself with the snipe save was the best way to bring 'em back together.

Also, was half-expecting Yelena to be eavesdropping on Clint mourning Nat.

oh yeah, I used to at least give F&WS the nod for most consistent, but Hawkeye's definitely taking that without the weakness of F&WS's shoddy flag smashers plot

I'm not watching Hawkeye until after my exams are over but Florence Pugh already showed off one clip of Yelena fighting Hawkeye on her Instagram.

Pugh is just one of those actresses who fits into action roles SO naturally. She even learned a bit of wrestling for the movie Fighting with My Family.

There were rumors for a while that (Hawkeye ep 5 spoils) Kingpin was going to have a more comic accurate look now that hes in the proper MCU with like a fat suit or CGI to make him absurdly big

Latest episode of Hawkeye was pretty good. Looking forward to the finale.

But with Spiderman coming out I guess I have to just avoid any MCU topics until I watch it, ugh. Gonna be a long wait.

I did finally watch Shang-Chi. People really talked this one up, and it let me down. The bus set piece was the best part and that was over in the first half hour. Didn't really do enough to set it apart from just being an Asian version of Black Panther.

There's also this one guy's ranking of MCU movies he updates every time a new movie comes out, and he ranked Shang-Chi higher than only Black Widow, both Ant-Man movies, The Incredible Hulk, Doctor Strange, and Iron Man 2. I was really surprised when he ranked Eternals a spot higher. He wrote that neither Doctor Strange nor Shang-Chi presented very compelling main characters even though he admitted to enjoying Strange in later MCU films like Infinity War.

the ant-man movies don't deserve to be near the bottom of the list but that's a good list as far as worst marvel movies go

I like the idea of Raiders of the Lost Ark having an MCU actor in it.

I watched the Raimi Spiderman's for the first time this weekend (had only seen 1 previously, when it first came out so I had forgotten everything anyway) and my big take away from them is that holy shit every character is super toxic and generally not good people, Peter and MJ's "relationship" being exhibit a here. The only truly good person might be the landlord's daughter.

Goblin and Ock were p good though.

Like, MJ is straight up a terrible person. I don't know if there is some deep meta story about how her home life as a teen warped her as an adult, but she is extremely manipulative and callous to those around her, and Pete spends three movies enabling her actions.
