Don't get me wrong, I have a thousand dollars of sealed magic cards in my closet. I think a few thousand in Pokemon because you like it is totally reasonable.

I mean I don't sit on it, it is a business so I use those things to actively make money, those are just assets on hand that have a super, duper proven track record of appreciating if you just kind of wait.

I think you having a storefront which improves your liquidity drastically changes the calculus. You having that much is plausible. I just don't think it's a good idea for people like moonroof to try the same thing.

Unless he is literally investing in your business not a specific asset class, but that's not what it seems like he is trying to do.

Basically when I take on money it is for the purpose of bigger grading orders being available to me. Grading is dumb and prints money. I can understand if you don't have the numbers in front of you it seems like voodoo though. I pay my bills with the money I get from not grading and then grading comes in and I cackle, more or less.

Haha. I want to actually, but it hurt has scam written all over it. I mean, the ingredients of it on the surface are, guy on online forum promises large return. While youre not a random guy and weve all been exchanging messages for years, its just risky.

I made a ton off pokemon cards and I didn't know what I was doing. I wasn't even buying from distributors, I was buying from stores and flipping packs unopened. So I'm sure Chris who does this all day makes way more doing what he's doing.

Alternatively you should look into selling shoes. Typically I spend $5-10k per month and make $2-3k profit per month. It's not going to compound though because you're limited by the amount of stock you can get your hands on. I haven't ever looked into getting directly from a distributor though because I only spend a few hours a week doing it.

I used to flip a be it, but I found it was enough work that is was practically a second job which made way less than my normal job

I went with the 12p for $1.48.

So basically if it falls to $10.50 or less in the next 6 months I make money.

Could easily see it dropping to like $5 if Bitcoin tanks which would be a 500% play so eh. It's risky but the upside is there at this point. RIOT stabilizing at the 20-30 range for a month made the prices somewhat reasonable.

That's not a bad idea. I have been thinking about RIOT puts between the macro oscillation this cycle, assuming the thesis holds. Sell btc ~200k, buy summer '21 puts, sell those when btc falls back to ~80k to buy back.

I only have a small amount of ADA on the exchange and that's in case of emergencies. I'm probably just gonna send it to my wallet to stake it now. It's just mental to me that I could get it at a dollar.

Monday I transferred $50k from Vanguard to my bank. Yesterday I transferred $35k of it to Coinbase. Today I am trying to transfer the other $15k, but Coinbase keeps telling me I have insufficient funds. I have plenty in my bank account so I dont know why this is happening. Very frustrating.

TRCH is the first meme stock I timed perfectly. Got out of my position Monday at $10. Back under $5 now.
