I have $150k in BTC at $35,700 average since mid-Junish. I am holding as long as possible.

Nice work! I would hold onto this for a year before even considering unloading.

Well I have extra incentive to hold past January because I sold for a loss to negate my tax gains since there arent wash sales.

I also heard that CIA or NSA is Satoshi which is why China backed out, which also means US Government has incentive to back BTC

My poor RIOT call is getting obliterated. Set it at $29.50.

Wish I'd bought more crypto at the bottom but I'm happy with the surge nonetheless.

I have made my first grand on stocks. Not bad. I mean, I feel like I could have made more since I've lost a good amount of money on gambling, but still, this is a thousand bucks I didn't have before. Feels good.

I bought a tiny bit on the dip. In some ways I wish I had the balls to put more in, but on the other hand I still don't believe in playing with more than I'm willing to lose.

i've been on vacation the past couple months (been working for a decade, it's time for a break), and it is really hard to motivate myself to go back to work when my net worth has been going up instead of down

i know it's just a local ebb and flow, and i'll have to return to reality when the tides change again, but damn

i also dumped my sentimental blizzard stock. i'm sure it'll go up again, but it's nice to be able to wipe my hands clean of something

That's awesome man. If you can get by borrowing against your assets at a lower rate than they are increasing, then you have "made it." That's some Elite capitalism.

You could put some into Cardano to trade the Alonzo deployment around (maybe) early September. Or stake some in ETH or AAVE.

Or, since BTC just had that bullish breakout

So the Score (SCR) seemed like a big loser, I bought at $26ish a few months ago on hopes of lifts from upcoming gambling legislation in Canada, but itdropped to like $15 and stuck there for a long time. But last week it was announced that PENN is going to acquire it completely, compensating existing shareholders with $17 USD and 0.25 PENN shares, which is worth around $17 USD at current prices, for combined value of $34 USD, so prices are now hanging a bit below that.

Does anyone know much about PENN? It looks to me to be an operator of casinos and racetracks, so it makes sense they are acquiring the Score. I'm not that keen on being in a company exclusively focused on gambling though. I realize that seems odd considering the reason I bought SCR, but they are more than just that with their sports and esports coverage. I personally like using their apps. Their content can be a bit cringe but I think there's potential there. Owning PENN doesn't feel the same to me

I put all my dogecoin profit (which wasnt a ton of money, its like $1800 currently) into Fubo because of whoever here was saying Fubo was a good idea and now I am feeling good

The most exciting part of all this to me is the EPS loss has decreased to -$0.38 which seems CONSIDERABLY more manageable compared to -$1.50 and -$2.50

The bear argument for FUBO has always been that the service model isn't profitable if the gambling doesn't pay off. I believe with these numbers we have evidence it will be with sufficient subscribers, which are growing pretty rapidly.

Makes me really sure the offering isn't going to be used until we have proof of concept on the sports book to rapidly expand that, and it'll probably be done at well above these prices so dilution will be minimized.

I hadnt heard of Fubo and already have a bunch in DKNG for gambling, so I wanted to move to something else. Also everything I had read was sure that Fubo needed to hit with their gambling interface to justify the prices people had bought at previously. Buying at 20 and holding might be OK based on subscriptions alone but I still think the real value is the gambling integration.

It was a bad move on my part because buying at 20 when we know the hype is upwards of 40, I should have just held. I guess I felt like it would be another RKT and I'm constantly waiting for the good news to show up. don't worry I own 2.5 grand in RBLX stock instead and that's down 86 dollars for me.

Actually my real bad play was putting in like 6 grand into cruises. I read some great article about cruise stocks being the last recovery stocks left and Delta wasn't really a thing. I think NCLH is a good long term hold but was kind of hoping to make a quick buck and generally don't like cruise stocks.

Personally I see the gambling being a bit of a gimmick. Mostly to draw eyeballs to the streaming service. I mean maybe the gambling becomes lucrative but I wouldn't be on the stock if I just saw it as gambling platform upside.

People call it the Netflix of sports and honestly that's the big market segment of streaming services that I think has a lot of room to improve. It clearly isn't the Netflix of sports right now but if it became that it would be incredibly profitable because right now you pretty much don't have a particularly good streaming option for Sports in the way you do movies or TV (or anime or any number of niche things)

In America we tend to have to have stations with streaming rights, like NBC/Peacock for the Olympics. I would assume trying to use Fubo from America would prevent you from seeing the Olympics, for example. I could be wrong - I thought Fubo was "FUBU" at first, so what do I really know~

Good thing for Fubo is that they build their gambling user base with their subscription user base. Thats really good.

DKNG will eternally have to dump money into their user base and compete to keep users.

FUBO is basically streaming Cable TV with some weird side channels for things like Cubs baseball and world cup qualifiers

So I mean you're right that NBC owns the rights to broadcast the Olympics but FUBO still can broadcast the Olympics as they broadcast NBC. It is a bit of a strange setup but it is the only way they can make a run at being the Netflix of Sports so I think it's a smart foundation for a sports streaming service.

The big glaring problem is fubo can't broadcast TNT or TBS and they have the lion's share of NBA stuff. Getting the Turner stuff back pretty much patches their last major hole and is a good catalyst to look forward to that isn't related to gambling. They've been cutting some channels like Lifetime and The History Channel lately so I do think they are working towards that
