I finally finished all of the normal mode realm dungeons (and Im probably around 75% done with the elite versions), so the easy mythic will be running dry soon...!

Looks like I dont have quite enough + lenses for a single hero ability. I guess I just need to wait for more events for these?

You get them through pulls and high level bosses like 6* magicite and dreambreakers have them as spoils, as well as Wander of the Rift Gilgamesh and Elemental Destruction Omega.

2/11 - Shadow awakening and Locke awakening!

I already had syncs for both characters so now they're very usable for endgame content, which is exactly why I wanted to pull on this banner. Definitely worth it! I guess I should give the cardia missions a try before they disappear.

After 4 days of LotR, I've already picked up 2 new AASBs: Ardyn and Yshtola dps. Not bad so far.

Three arcane overstrikes so far for me, plus some healing stuff for Alisaie and Alma.

Got Fran's LBO today.

Considering she's my ice chain / imperiler, this was a major success. It's basically free damage on a character who will always be in my ice teams.

If only we had ice-weak Odin where I could use it.

Orran sync is a full break counter. Would Faris and Barret count in your eyes too since they can be used as entrustbots?

FFT gave me Orran G+; it's something I suppose. Will pass on Faris/Barret, I am hoping for AASBs that will be viable through Bahamut.

Hmm. According to the lookup tool:

Gabranth Sync grants universal Quick Cast and its commands link to any Dark-element ability, so you can certainly get away with the normal Dark Knight stuff. In that case you'd just put your DPS move (probably Taboo Raid) in Slot 1 and ignore his second Sync command entirely.

With that said, if you find yourself in need of Imperil Dark, Gabranth Sync with Darkness Swing + Grand Charge should be a decent way to hand them out.

Gabranth's HA also gives a heavy charge when used, but since it's Gabranth you're probably better off using those anima lens+ on someone else.

Also a new game in the FF1 universe has been announced. Maybe we can get some more events to tie in so FF1 doesn't suck so bad in the Bahamut/Labyrinth era? Some more characters would be nice too since we could use a third DPS mage to go with Meia/Matoya so we can use Mog (Garland is too specialized in physical for Bahamut)

Is it just me or does that FF1 remake look absolutely terrible? I held off on posting my initial reaction but I'm really not sure who that game is supposed to appeal to, with tone and character design so different from the original (and in my view, pretty juvenile). At this point everyone who remembers FF1 fondly is old.

The pixel art one worries me in a different way, I'm afraid the art will look like Steam FF V/VI. I hope it doesn't.

I guess they're dudes from the future (because they sure as hell do not look like the folk in Dungeon and Dragons era FF1 takes place in) trying to stop Chaos in the past while he's still Garland or something.

Also the pixel art looks more like Pictlogica Final Fantasy than the steam/mobile graphics.



I would have preferred they just reuse the sprites from the Record Dungeons and keep FF6 as is. These sprites look so flat and too bright (especially for FF6)

Finally got around to clearing the rest of the 3*/4* magicite dungeons (with off element teams). I also got ff14 D500 Gilgamesh down to like 1 or 2% twice... so close!

I would say it's more inline with how Mobius was. It's a re-imagining of the FFI story, but it's not an outright remake.

Mobius is actually in the future of FF1's world, hence why Wol, Echo and Meia are FF1 characters in this game.

Phew, got the 14 Gilgamesh kill! I had been doing way worse for several tries, and I finally realized it was because I was for some reason no longer taking dispel... whoops!

the other issue I had was that I would activate a couple of his phase transitions in short succession once my dps really got going, and then he would murder Alphinaud right when Yda was running out of steam with her sync. Luckily this final time I was able to just barely eke out enough damage to take him down (I think I was a turn away from him osmosing away the rest of my ability usages!)

Hrm I was hoping to fake my way to 20% on another Gilgamesh or two, but it's not looking possible. Everyone outside of 14 and core is garbage for me dps-wise, and there's no core here!

FYI make sure to get your 10 weekly magicite kills before Tuesday's daily dungeon reset. The maintenance is gonna change daily magicite missions to daily labyrinth missions and the weekly mission is gonna reset after maintenance is done.

It's been a very long time since I've been this excited for a maintenance:
- Labyrinth
- Realm/Elemental banner refresh
- 10 daily draw
And that's just things we 100% know is coming.

In other news, LotR keeps being pretty good to me this time around: XI gave me Curilla's AASB and X gave me Wakka's Full Break Counter realm chain, both relics that I could potentially use.

Theres no quick way to get memory crystal IIIs, is there?

Assuming not, Im probably gonna have to start being more careful with those... if it wasnt for just getting a ton off of the transcendent stuff Id be pretty low!

Weekly events, Chocobo Greens shop, some of the lower difficulty Cardia fights.
There's also typically some in the upcoming fest dungeons and log-in bonuses.

Edit: But their number is limited for those who haven't been playing that long.

Oh yeah wow, looks like two for every Torment 1. I've only done three of those, so that's 28 right there!

Fest events give away memory crystals like candy. I think you might be able to get them in lower difficulty labyrinth dungeons as well.

I got Barret's dualcast LMR on the daily! Sweet since I have both awakenings for him.

I really hope this maintenance gives us the bump to 100 saved teams, with more dragon king fights and labyrinth starting I really need it. I'm hyped for the banner refresh and labyrinth.

Well Bahamut is mostly 1 and done unless you plan to go for a better time so he doesn't take up saved team space.

Oh speaking of Labyrinth anyone gonna tackle Kalavinka Striker tomorrow? I think I can beat him with a magic earth team, physical I'm more worried about since Dorgann lacks stacking enEarth and a HA.

True but since I'm not good enough to beat him right away it helps to be able to save my team after trying a few times, so I can go from there next time.

My earth teams are pretty good so I'll give it a try, but I'm not sure if they're good enough for the next level of content. I probably should have grabbed Red XIII's sync instead of my favoritism pick of Zidane. Physical is probably better since I have Sync+awakening for Gladiolus and Noctis.

I just save 1 team as Bahamut until I beat him or give up on that realm, if I revisit him again it would most likely be a while that'd I have to update stuff anyway.

Physical is gonna be annoying because of lack of imperils which is why I need Dorgann for him LMR/Awakening/BSB, I have Galuf's imperil USB but he needs infusion so he doesn't get paralyzed so can't spend meter on that.

I hope he's not too bad since I don't want to put tickets in FFV in hopes of Galuf sync.

Galuf's sync and his 2nd awakening (the better one) are on fest banner 5, so that might be a better option than spending tickets on FFV realm draws. I'll put more focus there if I can't beat Kalavinka Striker.

Galuf is one of my favorite FF characters (and accordingly I actually have him leveled pretty high despite having nothing for him)... it would definitely be cool to get his sync and have him be usable...!

I guess that depends if the time based mission (like what Dreambreaker and Bahamut get for rat tails) will be open long enough for banner 5. Though I don't really need Papalymo sync with FF14 Bahamut beaten and I'm already good in the 4 elements Delita uses so that banner doesn't have much appeal to me outside of the dyads and Galuf sync/aawakening.

Vivi Awakening 1!!!! Oh wow finally! That was one of my white whales especially since I have his sync but I think it's overrated without his Awakening.

Got Garnet's AASB. It never hurts to pick up a BDL relic for your chain holder, especially the ones with a SB+ Glint.

I knew the daily magicite missions were going away, but it looks like there are no weekly ones either now? Or is that just for this week?

Red XIII unique on the daily. Not going to spend my tickets until I have time to check the pools and see which ones are best for me which will probably be tonight.

I ran the first two labyrinth levels... having three completely separate teams with no shared accessories, abilities, or even RMs is more of a pain than I thought! For the first levels you can easily win without accessories and RMs but I'm a little worried about the 400-500 difficulty floor.

You can switch equipment/RMs/abilities whenever you want between the parties (of course, that makes things even slower, and they already take forever...)

Grrr I almost got a day 1 win on Kalavinka Striker, only 00.2% left.

Man I hate that last phase, you only have a couple of turns after his Bahamut wall to kill before he uses an attack that stuns and paralyzes, what BS! Not to mention he's hella bulky in that phase too. I tried combining Maria sync and awakening but I couldn't break 20000 per hit with her HA.
