I only messaged him because I got a pop-up saying he hit legend, and I assumed it was his first time since having paid for someone else to get him there. His response was that he normally gets there each month (dunno since when) and this month was especially hard.

Anyway, I'm not stumping for him, but I'm not trying to shoot him down, either. It's in my nature to give people chances periodically.

I think all the cards were revealed by the 48 hour mark or so, but not much sooner because I distinctly remember floating out my idea of just releasing the set without revealing any of the cards or even giving a release date. Just, here's the patch go see our new shit. You can't do that with the main sets but the mini-sets, especially with how late and compact the reveals have been so far, seem like they wouldn't really suffer for it.

hm I think this month I try wild and classic for like, the first time ever

I never played HS during the classic era and while I played most of the archetypes a ton it should be a nice breath of fresh air. I was pretty apprehensive about wild because why would I want to play against decks I played against a ton in constructed but now the meta actually looks diverse and different than what standard contained. I can only play like, Murloc Shaman and Tax Pally/Darkglare Warlock though lol

What are the key legendaries in wild? The Highlander stuff, Baku, Loatheb, and Soularium seem obvious. I looked and saw some offbeat standard legendaries are big too (Sayge, Flurgl, and Willow in particular)

Miracle Rogue and Combo Druid are easily the best decks in that mode. The only difficult lines of play are how to play Miracle when not drawing Auctioneer.

Eh, they probably are better higher up but Zoo is good at punishing the jank people play at Bronze and is the best counter to Druid. (Plus it and Handlock have the advantage of making the opponent have to guess which one you are)

For a spell that damages it, it wont be buffed before taking the damage

probably just changing how it resolves even though the only real practical card for it is elemental destruction in wild

So don't Lightning Bolt your own elemental.

I don't think I agree with that change unless they plan on reworking all the other stuff that happens whenever you do x thing. Haven't effects like that always taken place before the card resolving?

Example being like, I cast a lightning storm on ogremancer, ogremancer produces the 2/2 first and then gets killed by lightning storm. I don't really get why unbound elemental should be an exception to that seemingly fixed process.

Even overloading doesn't happen if the card doesn't resolve (IE you won't overload if you get counterspelled) so even if its optional, I would think it would still have to abide by the "effects before resolving" in all forms just the same.

Mutanus basically devours the stats of one minion onto another, giving them a soul devourer effect

Maeiv is just op no matter whats in, just too easy to get triples and farm lobbies. I think shes been first in first place finishes since Elise got nerfed on hsreplay?

Mini-set is out. I've seen a few people (and botmathematician) speculate on whether the userbase should not buy it, so just so we're clear: yes, buying the mini-set with gold is almost certainly better than buying 20 packs with gold (unless you don't want any legendaries or epics from the mini-set, and also highroll with the 20 packs). The dust value is 2520, which is more than 2054 that you get from dusting the average contents of 20 packs.

ALSO in the realm of things you should probably think about buying:

Standard packs and wild packs. They seem to have starting pity timers at 10, like every other type of pack, meaning you're guaranteed a legendary in the first 10 packs (averaging a legendary in 5.5 packs). They are buyable with gold (so I just bought them one at a time until I hit a legendary from each).

Also Mecha Jaraxxus is in the shop, that looks... tempting. But Nemsy is a fun Hero. >_<

It's no Tickatus, but not a bad first Mutanus. My murloc buddy got to attack the opponent three times and I finished the game with six health remaining, so it pretty much won me the game two times over.

I must be weird because I don't see any reason for cosmetics in this game. I don't use skins and I find it annoying when there are so many alternate heroes or alternate art for each class because I liked just looking up and knowing what class my opponent was playing instead of stopping to think about it. I do use two alternate heroes, but they were the first ones released for their classes (and also the only ones I own.)
