The difference is with lich you get unlucky and can like just lose all your leverage because you basically have a dead hero power after that.

With other heroes even if you lose a couple of rounds because you power leveled you maintain leverage if your hero is at least average.

There's a difference between taking 25 when it's the only damage you've taken or even ~10 incremental at the beginning...and taking 25 after damaging yourself for 18.

In addition to banning the one guy from wild, Flattusk got nerfed and Kangor is going to tier 5.

I dunno how I feel about the last one, tier 6 discovers will suck less but a good deathrattle mech build can scam the hell out of a lobby if built early

(Also I feel like the early stuff with Lich makes her fine anyway, most heroes with early initiative I feel dont have much of a hero power late game anyway. Whether its Rat King or KaelThas or Afk, not much of a difference ideal curve is something like level and buy turn 4, buy 3 turn 5, level and buy turn 6 and then figure out what to do 7 onward.

I'm surprised the opponent stuck it out, honestly. His only win condition was me whiffing enough on my 20 discovers so he could win in fatigue with however many Naaru tokens he could get in his hand, which wouldn't have been many with all of the dead copies Resurrect and PWG.

Edit: That said, we were eventually able to dump all of our copies of PWG even though I still couldn't attack him.

Having a bad stretch of losses and then switching to a deck that's built solely to grind out an achievement or two and has no business actually winning games, and then winning games with it, is a nice hit to the deck-building ego.

It's an even bigger hit when it's happened three times in the last week to me. No one is ready for Reduce-The-Cost-Of-Beasts Druid, Freeze-And-Destroy Mage and Invigorating-Sermon-Plus-28-Minions-That-Mostly-Add -Tokens-To-Your-Hand-And-Oh-Yeah-Prince-Malchezaar Paladin.

My Paladin archetype name is too long for Gamefaqs...

I really doubt anything gets nerfed the rest of this expansion, but if I had to pick the most likely choice if it were to happen it would be Inquisitor. Also, OTK Druid seems like a bad deck, but it definitely fits into that solitaire, unfun to play against style of deck that gets hit occasionally.

Inquisitor was fine but Demon Hunter had a really good wailing caverns set (Felrattler is the second best card behind the primordial dungeoneer and the ooze is a 3 mana shredder basically) to help you get there and the NZoth buff lets you just play 3 and mow over everyone. Like I think even making it a 7/7 would make it playable, idk

I wouldn't mind seeing a nerf to Apexis Blast honestly but I doubt many people feel the same.

I feel like Mage just gets pressured too easily now, Paladin was really good at shutting down those board centric aggro decks but now that its out of the meta the mage counters (Hunter/Druid/Shaman kinda now) just eat the mage up

So apparently in battlegrounds, having an amalgam of some type doesn't count as all types for the purpose of amalgadon? I had 1 amalgadon already and played another one and it only adapted twice. That's not the interaction I would expect just going off the wording of the text.

Each amalgadon can only provide one type.

So if you have all beasts and 1 amalgadon, you have two types for the next amalgadon.

If you have 2 beasts, a quillboar and an amalgadon, you effectively have 3 types, etc.

Y'know, back before they replaced them with the jugs/mugs.

If you had 0 of those types filled and played the buff card you would get nothing, of course.

And if you had 1 amalgam and neither of the others then it would get +2/+2. It would be pretty busted if it got +6/+6 every time by being able to fulfill 3 conditions at once. Instead it just becomes 1 tribe that isn't already present on the board for something like that.

And this was back before Dragons were added, so you would often have a beast (hydra), and two Amalgams to get the most out of those cards.

It's understandably less intuitive now that they have a LOT more tribes and you don't see as clearly how it's interactions track from the early days of the game mode.

No I was expecting it to adapt once each for all of the minion types an amalgadon represents, which for any given game is 5, since in my mind I control 5 different types of minions since amalgadon is all of them.

Ftr I don't have an issue with them limiting the card in this way since as FD said, it would be busted if you could give an amalgam +6/+6 every time, especially with lightfang running around, my issue is that I don't think the wording lines up with how the card works.

Ah, but you can get the lightfang bonus on SIX different minions if you have the 5 tribes represented in that game, and an Amalgam. It simply represents one of the non represented tribes and results in an extra bonus.

Now this tends to not be practical because then your board is locked, but if you are using a hero that allows you to pick a minion up off your board (see: Jandice) then you can still play battlecry minions while getting a +12/+12 effect from lightfang every turn.

I've been stuck at Diamond 2 for the past 2 weeks trying anything I can think of but I think it's just not meant to be this month.

I'm starting to run into ridiculous 1 off decks like stealer of souls Warlock and some weird spell druid that plays new Malygos. I was about to beat a pretty standard elemental shaman and then he dropped Bru'kan into dunk tank out of nowhere.

Maybe I'll just try face hunter tomorrow all day and see how it goes.

I actually went 12-0 with deathrattle DH from like D5 to D1 but I got discouraged after losing back to D3 so I've been mixing it up since then.

Face Hunter is actually working pretty well right now so I think I can get it done tomorrow.

Legend with Face Hunter done! The Rinling Rifle tip was actually pretty useful because I always knew it was a good card but I didn't put THAT much stock into it. Like I was never sad to draw it but I didn't think it made such an impact. It definitely won me a few games just from the 3/3 secret and from snake trap.

So the best reason to have it right now is Mankrik, since you draw the wife for free. But like, thinning your deck out is pretty awesome, since you dont want your cheap spells and instead want like, your rhinos
