I put great value on not knowing where a show is going, and I think Loki is the epitome of that as a character. I could see this end with Loki being the hero, the villain, or neither. Who the hell knows. Its Loki

One thing I would bet a nut on right now is

the variant is not the villain.

I think the Time Keepers might be villains, but the TVA agents are unaware and genuinely believe theyre doing the right thing.

It could totally be a Wizard of Oz situation where the Timekeepers dont even really exist in the form the TVA thinks they do.

man, i did NOT like the loki/sylvie banter. given that that was practically the entire episode, that was a problem. i get that it was supposed to be charming and funny but i just thought it was annoying and trite. go back to the loki/mobius conversations please.

they literally did the "these are not the droids you are looking for" scene lol

I liked this episode a lot too. I can understand people thinking that it was slower than the first two episodes since it takes place in one location and the TVA is completely absent, but the planet was really interesting. It felt really unique compared to other settings in the series. The entire series reminds of Doctor Who, not just the time travel, but the theme of taking place in these completely different environments in different episodes.

The reveal that the TVA agents are all actually Variants is a massive one that flips a lot of things about the plot on its head. I think most people were suspecting that TVA sounded pretty sinister, but the fact that they're apparently lying to their agents about who they really are basically confirms that there is a lot more going on that isn't right. It's obvious this is setting up some big things that will affect the plot soon.

I wasn't sure how the whole Loki/Sylvie interactions would play out, if they would be enemies the whole time, work together, or dip back and forth. That made seeing their scenes together really interesting to me, and it felt very deserved when they decided to really start to team up since it didn't happen so easily.

I don't know how Loki reversed an entire building falling over though. Due to the nature of Loki's and Sylvie's powers I was spending a lot of time wondering if it would turn out that a large majority of what was happening was secretly an illusion. I'd be pretty disappointed if that was the case though. Maybe he pocketed one of the dozens of Time Stones laying around the TVA...

I don't think he reversed it, I think he just sent it flying back the other way with telekinesis.

I haven't loved this series so far and I felt this episod wasn't an exception. There were some good scenes here and there but it still feels like there's no real point to anything and it's just kinda meandering. I don't mind a show taking its time to settle the table, but if you only have six episodes, you should probably up your pacing a bit.

The planet definitely gave me Doctor Who vibes, especially the final action scene because everything looked kinda crap (and I love DW). The guards were wearing sweaters with Super Sentai helmets for crying out loud.

I didn't mind this episode by the way, though it'll seem like kind of a waste of time if they spent all this time establishing this world for it to not come back in the end, and I feel like Loki and Sylvie kinda didn't really get anywhere on each other which is a little annoying. But I mostly liked their interactions and I'm in love with Sylvie and I thought Lamentis-1 was cool, if a bit sci-fi dystopia kitschy.

this feels like Doctor Who except the companion is also the Doctor and also they are both dumb as hell

that's not why i found it annoying. i thought sylvie was annoying because her one-note "i'm so bitchy and tough!" shtick got old really fast. and loki's constant stream of jokes finally started to annoy me, mainly because he just wasn't that funny (aside from a few jokes).

i didn't think episodes 1 and 2 were brilliantly written but i thought the writing in this episode was outright poor.

it's extra funny because this isn't even something they made up for the show. loki being bi was revealed in the comics years ago.

I thought this may have been the best ep yet. Pretty solid action, great dialogue, and a very big and interesting reveal. Oh, and all that talk about "why is this show so Earth centric" people were going on about last week? Looks like we have an answer, and it isn't just some bs handwaving but instead the most important thing we've learned in the series so far.

They barely even touched on Loki being bi at all, which is hilarious. Like, Sylvie just kind offhandedly mentioned it and Loki was like 'yeah maybe' and that was pretty much the extent of that.

i forgot this show also revealed Loki was DB Cooper and yet not a single soul was whining about that for being irrelevant to the plot.

Also Loki is by far and away my favorite series of these tv shows so far. Even this episode wasn't like 'amazing' but I just happily followed along lol

I've seen a lot of people throwing around a theory about him pocketing a time stone. It was super weird how he made no motion when it was going back up, he just stood there not moving, kinda awkwardly lol. But yeah I've been wondering about that same thing a lot.

My thought first episode was Loki pocketed stone. Maybe stones. When he was alone at the lockers and we are led to believe he just took his daggers, who knows what else he took.
