And then he proceeds to create a God Bomb to erase all gods from existence, so he can start the world over where he could be the one true god and do it "right". He's twisted, deadly, deranged, and really, really evil and he's an awesome choice. Christian Bale will have the opportunity for some seriously intense scenes, I'm sure.
