I feel the opposite. I know the movies do extremely well, and I like the character, but the films themselves are so boring and never live up to their potential. I rolled my eyes at the announcement of a third one...

I'm fairly confident Kang is just going to be setup. The movie will look like he's defeated then there'll be a post credit scene with him revealing he got what he was really after.

They said they arent recasting him though I wouldnt be surprised if his sister became like a separate one with her own invented suit or something

Despite the ways some news briefs phrased it, I'd be shocked if that didn't mean a different character became Black Panther and that T'Challa specifically wasn't being recast.

they should scrap Black Panther from the title entirely for this movie and call it Wakanda Forever, then through the course of that movie someone else will take up the mantle and the next movie could be Black Panther 2.

I'd honestly prefer Okoye of anyone else, really. Everyone else has a place in the story firmly except for her being just the bodyguard. That or T'Challa's girlfriend.

Shuri is good in her current role and M'Baka is also great in his role.

Black Panther 2 plot summary:

Black Panther's helmet gets glued onto his head and he can't take it off anymore! Also Shuri messes up the voice transponder on his suit and now he sounds like Jack Black. At the end of the movie he learns to live with his new suit and vows to never take it off again.

Nakia literally had an arc in the first movie where she could have become the next Black Panther but chose not to, it's strange to me that she never comes up as the obvious replacement.

I assume she slips through peoples mental cracks because she didnt show up in Infinity War/Endgame. Im on board with her, probably my second choice after MBaku.

I hope Kang is actually the setup for the F4 movie instead of the next Avengers movie. I guess he could be both but I really don't want another F4 movie where the villain is Doom.

but we need Doom. he deserves to be in an actual good movie finally.

hopefully they sort of pull a Homecoming with it and just gloss over all the origin story stuff. Obviously F4 knowledge isnt as ubiquitous as Spider-Man, but weve done it twice already and its not really complex.

make them fight the Wizard or something.

I agree with all of these things. Maybe we'll get some lost in time/space shenanigans or something to explain why they're already established but they haven't been around. If I have to watch Mr Fantastic slowly realize he's stretchy as he reaches for a piece of paper or something I'm going to walk out of the theater.

Well, I guess there's Hulk, but that was kinda before there was much of an MCU to speak of.

Doom is a great character to just pop right in to any random Marvel movie for a cameo as a minor antagonist or ally, and then just pop right back out. This would be a great way to slowly build him up over a couple years.

Terrance Howard being recast was like the only thing other than Hulk I think. Not really major, but I didnt think Cheadle was as fun

Oh right, I forgot about War Machine, but yeah, they've both been recasts after the first one only appeared in one movie, right? Chadwick Boseman was in several MCU movies.

I mean Chris Pratt has his weird megachurch cult and Rosario Dawson caught an assault lawsuit and that sure hasn't stopped them from becoming headliners. People are overly caught up on this being a factor when Disney has been smoothing over this kind of stuff with its stars recently.
