Some of the best ongoing mangos right now imo are:

Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu - Probably the best ongoing romance mango on the market. I think calling it a romance is a bit of a spoiler, but I'll say the story is about this constant feelings progression of two unlikely friends where at the moment it would be crazy if they don't end up going out.

Time Stop Brave - Probably the best ongoing Isekai story. It's just pure comedy and ridiculousness with ultra unapologetic ecchi-ness as a cherry on top

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki Kun - Pretty much going to always be the best ongoing comedy mango as long as the series don't end.

Some of the still best stuff that I don't quite love as much anymore are still good:

Mom, Don't Come Adventuring With Me... (long title) - Still possibly the only series with a comically long title that's actually good. But the last several chs have been hitting a bit of a doldrum

Tonikaku Cawaii - It's honestly still the same kinda stuff. I liked it about 60-70 chs in but double those chs in, it's odd to me that they still haven't gotten to the stage of actually doing married couple stuff, more or less like 2 ppl dating but living with each other.

There are a bunch more that I read on the side that I just kinda forget about. The ones that stick in my head like BokuYaba tend to be really really good. I don't read Shounen and I also tend to not read those overly philosophical mangos. Dr. Stone is also really good and probably the best Shounen out there (I do check out other Shounen but don't care about the story so I just read spoilers and realize it's not something I want to read), but the problem with it is that the pattern of the arcs have been exactly the same every time. I have that problem with almost every Shounen except Hunter x Hunter, which I don't even consider ongoing anymore

Non ongoing mentions I read this year would be Oyasumi Punpun. Read it on recommendation, liked it early on... then wasn't really convinced. It got a bit too moody and non-sequitur, and one aspect of the story made 0 sense to me. Why is Punpun so fixated on a crush he had as a kid? I guess the story hasn't succeeded in convincing me that this person would progress in such a way when during a point in his life, he's lived not having thought about her once.

A friend of mine disagreed that it was unconvincing so it's my opinion. I thought the story hinged a bit too much on his fixation so that the story doesn't just end with him happily settling down

I think Cal can answer better for the later ones but concerning the first three I believe its the same world, just different times. Anime wise, GX takes place within the lifetime of the characters from Yugioh. 5D's is the future of those two, but distant enough from either that they needed time travel to bring all three main characters together.

I seem to recall something about a Kaiba corp satellite in one of the more recent ones too, which would imply at least four of the series are in the same world.

It's separated time line

DM > GX > 5D's is one, but from GX it also splits into Zexal where seemingly synchros don't exist, and Arc-V is like a combinations of all the different realities split from DM

Ppl mostly think so because Zexal acts like the catastrophic disaster of 5D's didn't happen, and Arc-V straight up incorporates some alternate realities of GX, 5D's, and Zexal but treats them like different worlds

I only saw season 1 of Attack on Titan but I might try to catch up despite being spoiled on pretty much every major plot detail. I saw some clips of the final season including the titan airstrike which look insane.

And I still don't know the ending I guess.

Didn't Zexal happen because Kaiba launched duel monsters cards into space and aliens found them or some crazy shit like that? I admit I've seen very little of Zexal and ARC-V and most of what I know about them is from hearing others talk about it. As for the most recent two...

Outside of featuring all of the different past summoning types and Mirror Force of all things being referred to as a "legendary and terrifying card" that Revolver pulled out of nowhere, I don't remember Vrains ever mentioning anything about any of the previous five series, so I assume that it's in a completely separate continuity. From what little I watched of Sevens before I dropped it for being awful, it seems to be its own thing too. It's prominently featured Blue-Eyes White Dragon a few times for a blatant nostalgia pop and "retrained" versions of other classic original series cards like Mystical Elf, but no direct references to past series.

She's also the only girl in that picture who's not a Precure herself yet. From what I've read, Laura is straight-up just an actual mermaid who came to the surface world to recruit the Precure to fight some vague evil we don't know about yet and help her save her ocean kingdom that she's eventually going to become queen of. She's basically in the role traditionally given to various fairies in the franchise (as the one who recruits the girls and makes them into Precure to fight whatever the season's villains are) despite being humanoid.

As for who's best girl, I'm leaning towards the red one based on what I've seen and heard about all of them so far.

Then you missed a very interesting year with Healin' Good Precure. It's still so crazy to me how the year they went with a "heal the earth" theme with the girls fighting living viruses trying to "infect the earth" just so happened to air the same year as an actual global pandemic happening in real life.

I'm now 50 out of 100 episodes into Kirby. It's funny when I recognize the small handful of episodes that I watched as a child in the early 2000s. It's also funny noticing some parts that were clearly censored or toned down by 4kids. Its not always subtle.

Last episode of Sigrdrifa was awesome. I was going to give the show a 7/10 before, but I think I might have to bump it up to a 7.5 after all. It had its flaws, and I'm still not a fan of how the fanservice felt out of place and detracted from the drama, but it was a good watch overall.

I've been waiting for you to reach that episode. I remember watching it as it aired and losing it as soon as I heard *XV spoilers* the click of Phara's heel. And then the hook at end of the episode with the triumphant return of Carol... my god.

Otherside Picnic off to an interesting start. I like the setting and atmosphere in this show.

Gekidol and Alice in Deadly School is a weird situation. Alice in Deadly School disappeared off Anichart and appears to instead be an OVA package deal with Gekidol. As in it is a part of Gekidol and not its own show. I'm not really sure whats going on, but it it made Gekidol episode 0 a 50 minute episode.

Last Dungeon Kid (I refuse to say or type this show's full long-ass title) turned out to be funnier than I expected. It's giving me vibes like Last Period, Endro, or Bofuri. The MC is a complete fucking idiot but in a cute and pure way like Maple, the girls around him are all interesting and quirky in their own ways, and the various interactions between them were a lot of fun. If they can keep the "he thinks he's weak but is actually insanely strong" gimmick from getting stale over time, it could be a gem, but we'll have to wait and see.

It was a bit rough in the visuals, but the concept and characters were interesting enough to get me into it. It felt a lot like Girls' Last Tour, but with more action and an extra side of creepypasta-tier weirdness. Both shows I watched today have me cautiously optimistic.
