and got only weapons. shit assed weapons, none of them are better than what i had, and the 4 star weapon was a bow, which i do not use.

the event is giving out the best support DPS in the game for free and she uses a bow, so you would have a use for it if you did play it! (also you're guaranteed every other 4* pulled to be a character, so pulling at max 10 more times would give you ningguang, beidou, or diona guaranteed. you should generally expect this game's gacha to be around one character every twenty pulls, and any more as being lucky)

i'm not expecting you to actually play the game anyways, though. the gameplay loop of only playing a bit every day is definitely not for everyone, but i still find it fun enough for me to keep checking in. minmaxing and theorycrafting compositions for certain scenarios are kinda cool

the game exploded way beyond what it should have thanks to marketing, but it's still solidly alright and very pretty with high production values and cute girls

Just watched the 3rd Made in Abyss movie which continues where the show left off....and I would have to say...that was mega fucked up.

Not gonna watch the second season of Muhyo to Roji. It was kind of meh. Not horrible or anything, but nothing to make me want to watch more of it. Gonna watch the latest half season of Re Zero instead.

I finished up yakuza: like a dragon last night. Debating whether or not I want to do any post game stuff or just move on. Already did all the substories and part time hero quests. I do only have 1 more enemy to find and theres the post game dungeons to try but honestly the combat system isn't all that fun. Could go back to my dark souls 3 run that I was doing before yakuza or maybe I'll just relax and not do much for a few days. Catch up on some anime if I can handle it.

I finished the first Xenoblade Chronicles recently and am now playing Age of Calamity(not really an RPG but certainly Japanese). As for anime Im rereading Naruto because Im bored, I was going to watch Attack on Titan but Im so wrapped up in gaming I dont think Ill get to that soon lol.

I was thinking about this the other day, but what was the deal with the dice-rolling at times in Goblin Slayer? Does that play a larger role in the manga?

It felt like a weird D&D homage. I tried googling it, but didn't want to spoil too much for myself although it kinda sounds like they have Dungeon Master gods or some shit.

the impression i got solely from the anime was pretty much that, yeah. in particular, its used in situations where goblin slayer really SHOULD die due to extreme bad "luck" (which seems to have been forced by the gods) but doesn't cuz he doesn't behave as most should in those kinds of scenarios, he just keeps pushing onwards. he metaphorically rolls a 1 and keeps pushing on with mortal wounds, basically

the goblin slayer world is literally laid out exactly like a dnd adventure, so it's less an homage and more of how the world itself is designed to work

Okay, now I can officially kick myself for buying Rune Factory 4. Still haven't played it and BBuy has it on sale for $25. Ugh.

Not a lot in that sale standing out to me. I'm mildly tempted by Trials of Mana. Power Rangers Battle for the Grid was standing out, but then I realized there's also a "Ranger Edition", which soured me on the standard since I'm guessing it includes the season pass stuff or something. Completely unrelated to anime and things Japan is Uncharted Lost Legacy which I need to make sure I didn't pick up at some point already.

Then I guess there's the KH all-in-one although it'd kinda be a waste since I think I got the ps3 versions of 1 & 2 that I never touched (and I have 1 on my ps2, and possibly a used copy of 2 on the ps2 as well). I guess the real question is if I ever picked up KH3, which I've have to look into. (I already have DDD and, although my copy of Chain of Memories doesn't work right, I'm not terribly interested in playing it anyway). I guess I could also just buy the standalone of 3 rather than also getting the other stuff again... assuming I didn't pick up 3. (For the record, so far I've only beaten 1 & DDD, and played CoM.)

I'm on a bit of a rhythm game kick atm. Just played 20 hours of Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory, and yesterday I ordered all three Persona Dancing games on PS4.

Youre in luck then. Bang Dream is pretty excellent and is running a Re:Zero collab right now. I was just about to drop the game when I got one of the limited 4 stars for one of my favorite characters, so Im sticking with it for a while longer.

Oh, so it's a nix on the KH collection. I just checked and I did buy KH3 (presumably last Black Friday). It was thankfully in an easier-to-locate area. I guess in hindsight, had I not bought the ps3 remixes of 1 & 2 plus 3 (none of which I got around to using) I could have saved $10 and had additional games by getting that collection.

Some of the other things I look at I'm wondering if I should buy at all, since I could find them cheaper

Hmm. That combination of colors, coupled to the late '80s / early '90s character design, suggests one of the older designs for Athena Asamiya from the King of Fighters series. Almost looks like her old Psycho Soldier design, IMO.

Rtx 3060 rumored to be released early December. Gtx 1660 / 1650 are the current budget/value cards. Or wait another .5 - 1 years for this new gen of gpus to have value cards.

I thought about shelling out for a mid-high end of, but I don't actually play enough games that are hard to run to justify it.

What do people think of Kishimoto coming back as the main writer of Boruto. I don't believe much will change honestly because he was already giving input on the writing. The real problem with this series is the uglyass artstyle. He's not doing art. This really seems desperate since Boruto manga sales continue tanking.

the art is fine, the story is worse than the accelerator manga which literally had no storyboard or direction and was awful

If you want a more realistic show where one of the main characters is a fire fighter but it isnt a heavy focus.
Ride Your Wave was pretty good (also about surfing).
