The looting was organized on social media supposedly with the purpose being to straight up loot. Some of the people who joined the looting stated they were there because a child was shot. The man shot was 20 years old and again was in possession of a gun be supposedly fired at cops.

Like, I'm with you on not legitimizing Fox News as a source (even if their reporting is good, the fact that an organization with such a heavily-biased, inflammatory and prominent opinion section is Corrik's go-to for reporting, rather than a more unbiased source, is problematic), but you ratcheted the conversation up WAY too far and WAY too fast.

That said, can you even explain where fox is not a "legitimate source"? Their opinions and slant is different however they generally are using the same information CNN slants.

I love to point to the Trump visit to the Saudis where the top headline was on Fox "Trump refuses to bow" and CNN's said "Trump bows after criticizing Obama for bowing".

Like, their biases are hella obvious. Though both articles said that he slightly nodded down to the Saudis, they both were presented different ways.

I present the news. If you wish to refute the source, then you should read the information and provide a source that differs regarding it. Nothing is really refuting this information anywhere. So, what is the point of spending all these posts decrying the source unless you want the liberal brownie points for fighting against conservative media randomly?

Like, they may lean left (largely because, as has been said many times, reality has a liberal bias), but with MSNBC, you know you're getting straight-up liberal shit. Trump actually did call Hillary a liar during a debate. It was when Hillary tried to justify having a private position and a public position by arguing that she learned the strategy of saying different things to different people from Abraham Lincoln. And Trump said (paraphrasing): "She lied, she got caught in the lie, and now she's blaming the late, great, Abraham Lincoln. Honest Abe. Honest Abe never lied. That's the difference between Abraham Lincoln - and you. That's a big big difference. That's some difference."

MSNBC is further "left" than CNN but they also have much better quality reporting. Like, they actually report facts. When they report opinion, they're pretty transparent that it's opinion. CNN acts as if they don't understand the difference between opinion and fact, or don't care.

Possibly. The context is cut out. For all we know, he attacked them with a knife and maybe they tussled and disarmed him and there was a scuffl3. Possibly cuz we don't have the context the situation could be a lot different then presented. Where is the context?

If they got there and it was 3 kids sitting there doing nothing at all and the cops just pulled their guns for the giggles then yeah they were wrong. That video lacks context. You are again assuming the random on the internet portrayed an accurate representation of the scenario.

It's because A. the police and military are massive organizations that make massive purchases of firearms, thus the NRA (which represents gun manufacturers, not gun owners) isn't about to target a large group over an individual's death. And B. people that respect the police unilaterally are incapable of envisioning a scenario in which they personally would be victimized by police violence; to them, this is just an isolated incident and not indicative of police practices being wildly militant in their execution.

So if Congress doesn't just forgive the taxes from the deferred period (which would be defunding Social Security) then obviously the taxes would still be owed. If people forget this when filing themselves then under tax law the employers are liable for the deferred employee-share that never got withheld and wasn't paid by the employee. So if they (the employer) went and paid that share in 2021 then under the tax code it would count as employee income... upon which income and payroll taxes would apply (taxes on taxes!)
