Turns out theres zero prep needed for Toy Day. Even if you havent logged in in months youll be fine, unless you somehow have no spruce trees for ornament acquisition.

This is the endgame, people

I have 2 sea creatures that I have to wait until march for. I doubt I'll finish the paintings, I have like 15 left to collect. I only have like 12 stamp cards incomplete but I think there are ~6 I'm not going to finish (i have 2000/5000 fish, 2300/5000 bugs, 1500/2500 sea creatures, 37/100 KK visits, 97/300 villager deeds, and 1300ish/3000 tool DIYs). I have maybe 100 or so DIYs left to collect, but i'm not expecting to get all the wreaths and crowns.

Turns out there was also some prep needed if you had hopes of crafting the gift pile right away. I guess you can potentially get red wrapping paper from a villager if you back out of the prompt to give them a gift, but AFAIK there's no guarantee you'll have a cardboard box available today.

But it's the only way to buy NMT. I'm lucky I got Dom on my second attempt, but I only had 9 NMT in storage to go island hopping with. I'd have been quite annoyed if I needed more than that today.

I had the New Year's Countdown running on 3 different Animal Crossing games. City Folk, New Leaf, and New Horizons. I've been playing those three throughout 2020, so I figured I might as well.

Also realized that throughout the past 3 months, I forgot to catch a Spiny Lobster. :(
I guess I'm waiting until next October since I refuse to time travel. It was also the last deep-sea creature I caught in New Leaf, so I guess it's an unintentional tradition.

I have a meteor shower tonight. The winter weather has left me with barely any clear skies, so I haven't seen Celeste yet to get the Capricorn ornament. If she shows up, I'll open up for people if anyone else still needs it.
