I'm down to 159.0 from 185.0 in mid-December.

Been lifting three times a week and doing 20 minutes on a recumbent bike 2-3 times a week. I just go as far as I can in 20 minutes:

I personally started trying to lose weight last year, after I turned 30 and realized I'd let myself get fat again after, years ago, working so hard not to be fat.

I started making these topics during the COVID quarantine because I was having trouble motivating and thought that making a topic would be a good way to keep myself honest. It's helped me, so I hope it's helping other people too.

I'm so happy, I finally found a workout routine that works for me!

The program I was using before was WAY too intense for me and just ended with me overexerting myself, quitting early, and feeling like shit. I was super unmotivated.

But now I started doing longer, lighter workouts, and now I feel way better, and it leaves me feeling energized and wanting more.

Still can't stop eating deep-fried foods, though... at least I eat a lot of meat too.

I've been doing guided workouts through my gym's website but it's just not the same.

My roommate bought a heavy bag so I've been doing more kick boxing work outs.

I put on 6lbs since quarantine, which doesn't sound bad but I'm positive I have been losing muscle tone and that's the difference in weight.

Other thread reached 500? Noice!

I'm still doing my thing. It's hard to get anything too intense in due to my weight and lack of equipment. Been drinking green tea lately to try and speed up fat burning. As the month of May draws to a close, I only have accurate weight data from the 14th of May and up, where I was 256lbs but I've been hovering around 254lbs lately. The real changes are coming from stomach and waist girth. We'll see where I'm at tomorrow, when your stomach is as big as mine the girths vary day to day. The trend is heading down though so that's what matters.

I got my blood test in, blood type is a positive, so I've got to eat more beans and fish, more vegetables as opposed to fruits. Cholesterol was a bit off, triglycerides a bit high, hdl low while ldl was kind of high. Got to consume more olive and flaxseed oil. Everything else in my blood is perfect and I am a healthy Fatman.

Im a bit worried about loose skin tbh. I have a little bit on my stomach, but you cant tell unless you pull on it. I have a bit of belly though and Im worried it wont go away, or itll look weird when I get to my goal weight :/

i wouldn't worry about it. just keep the discipline up and things will snap into shape. extra energy spent worrying about skin will just take up resources when you could be lifting instead.

Do some abdominal/core exercises to tone that area and build some muscle there so it looks fuller. Exercising that area will increase blood flow and plump up the muscles so they show more, that will make your belly skin appear more tight. Good luck.

Haven't been working out, but I've lost about 15 pounds due to dietary change since shelter-in-place. Lack of fast food would do that, I guess.

Yeah... I've lost a lot of weight without giving up anything really, but it makes it go slower which is a pain in itself.

Ill do this, thank you! Ive been abandoning my core when working out, so maybe thats why I look so soft. I could easily dedicate 15-30 minutes a day to my core

Hi guys i participated in this topic way at the beginning i think.
I was 250lbs 2 years ago, about a yeat and half ago i started training at a pro wrestling gym. At first i was getting more athletic but not losing weight, then about a year ago i drastically changed my diet - smaller portions, not eating to get full, better quality food - it was hell for a while because i always felt hungry, but then my body adapted and i started to feel better AND lose weight.
Cut to this February and i was doing great and starting to see some definition, but then Corona hit and my gym closed (temporarily) and i stopped doing anything.
2 weeks ago i started walking 5kms per day, 5 days a week, and doing 3 sets of 12 squats, pushups, situps and leg lifts. I was sore for the first few days which i really shouldnt have been, but am feeling great now.
I am holding steady at 210lbs but want to lose and hold at around 195-200

Over the last couple months before quarantine I pretty much got myself back down to around 200~ (after having relapsed and gotten as high as 280)

Then quarantine started and I gained like 14 lbs. I've gotten rid of like 8 lbs of that since I started taking super long walks again.

Only thing that sux is i gotta take a break from walking cuz my big toe is like, double its normal size and hurts like hell. no clue why

Gym reopened today. Saw plenty of hugs, fist bumps, handshakes, and casual conversations. It was great to be back.

I was surprised by how bad I felt on day 1. Dropped my workout weight on bench press by 70lbs, but I think I should have dropped more. I'm hoping it only takes a couple weeks to get used to lifting again.
