One Final Effort > Ink Long Dry, 35-27
LastPandemic > LoZ Title, 38-23
End of All (Land) < Ricordando il Passato, 29-30

FFXIV lost because its ink has long since run dry.
The Legend of Zelda lost because it was taken down by the coronavirus.
Fire Emblem: Fates lost because it truly was the end of all -- RIP.

Thank you to everyone who voted in day 1, all 62 of you. Wow to a close third match, and you wouldn't know it but the second one was close, too, until LastPandemic went on a tear at the end.

You get 6 points to divy amongst all 9 songs, max of 3 to any of them. Ideally you give +3, +2, +1, but you're welcome to make other splits instead.

Wow, I didn't expect such a nailbiter in the ToC. I'm always happy to see a good emotional(ish) track beat something notable for the first time since I've immersed myself in VGMC last year! Ink to Dry did much better than I thought it would, which is good!

OH yeah I forgot to say here I took over compatibility stats from Dire as a responsibility this year. So I'll be updating this whenever I can. He's still helping out behind the scenes a bit and since he made the original sheet might be better to contact about technical errors than me, but it's fine to contact me too about any errors you notice in data entry or whatever probably too. We'll figure out whatever the issues are if they arise!

Same as last year:
-The sheet is slow and takes a long time to load so be patient when switching between people. The data won't be quite accurate until it's finished processing so don't expect a switch to result in the correct info immediately
-Everyone can access this at once and change the username column however they want. If it's busy either just wait until less people are touching it at once, or download it (it'll run faster if you download it anyways)

I've gone 2/3 three days in a row! The day 1 loss was the match I cared least about, day 2 was in the middle but also my own nom, and day 3 was the match I cared most about...there goes my ToC bracket winner

Nobody nominates Id Purpose. Every year it coalesces from the fervor VGMC nominations produces and inserts itself into the contest. It's a force of nature

I'm like 99% sure it was TRE. The 5 nominators who ended on it were: Arti, Hb, TRE, tennis, and Tsunami and I'm almost certain I recall TRE putting up the original nomination fairly late in the game (last few days?) unless that was a push to get it in and it had gotten a nom before that.

Interesting. Looks like NFUN had the most nominations to make the contest, with 10 songs. He had REALLY good nominations, indeed, even if he was a bit self-centered by nominating 20 things at the soonest possible moment. =P (granted, he later dropped some and supported stuff later)

I just realized Beyond the Darkness has to face hinagiku (Lost in Shadow). Looks like I'll have to vote against my own nom. :(

NFUN was out there hustling, working his ass to get his songs in. He advertises before the contest in multiple arenas, he pushes his newest favorite discoveries months ahead of time, and he strategizes during nominations. That he would have the most is really not a surprise.

Somehow, I'm second place with being first nominator on 9 songs that made the bracket despite making stuff up as I went along. I guess different strategies work for different people. Nominating songs like Reach for the Moon also helps. >_>
