Asst GM Ricco (aka Jeff Wilpon) confirms Peter Alonso won't be called up in September. Citing that that want him to get playing time and he'd just be riding the bench if he were called up.

hey I want to say one more thing about Wright and I won't rant like a lunatic but it needs to be said.

It's a money issue (of course). Wright is scheduled to earn $3.21M for September. If he does not come off the DL, the Wilpons recoup $2.41M of that sum through insurance (they already earn like $20M back a year on him).

So basically $2.5M is worth more to the wilpons than giving a franchise icon, a chance to comeback. Someone who has given everything he can to this franchise and more, stayed hard and true through all the rough years... The team is worth $3 billion and they are making up excuses and lying so one of the most important players in the whole franchise's history can't complete his almost 3-year comeback over $2.5 million.

what a crazy game last night between Brewers-Reds. Glad to see Yellich hit for the cycle. One of my favorites to root for.

Unfortunately, it is very evident that our pitching is running out of gas. Would've been really nice to have picked up an extra arm Brewer GM at the trade deadline!! I wonder if we could've gotten Archer had Pittsburgh not made the better offer. Now look at the Pirates. What a waste if that was true!

Ugh i was just coming to post this.

It was good while it lasted i guess.

Except for the first week this season when Cutch and Eva(n) Longoria combined to produce next to nothing after some 20 ABs each.

And McCutchen has actually rallied back from that to lead the Giants in nearly every offensive stat this season.

He leads the team in home runs, RBIs, stolen bases, runs, slugging%, OPS, hits, doubles and walks.

Posey is beating him in batting average and on base percentage but he just underwent hip surgery so hes a non factor until next season anyways.

And Crawford was looking like the best player in any position for the first half of the year but has been slumping since the break.

Nobody notices though and he's called out. Because of the out call, the runner never actually touches home plate and returns to the dugout. The nationals don't review it.

So technically the runner was never actually tagged out, but by leaving the baseline and going to his dugout, hes out.

ousting an MLB owner is tough. They need to be doing actual permanent visible damage to the franchise and brand, typically involving profitability.

Unfortunately, Mets attendance is only down a small amount, it would take an actual concerted boycott effort to damage the brand and Mets fans simply havent hurt MLB in the pocketbook.
