My choices for Batch 1 are:
Ramza
Dark Fina
Lightning
Orlandeau

The only one of those 4 I have the TMR for is Ramza, and he's also the only one that I awoke any abilities on. I could awaken all 4 to 7*, but I would then be broke... literally (I only had 12,001,67 gil at the start of the day, after I got the free 3mil from Gumi lol).

Is it worth getting 3* Golem for Wilhelm? The fight sounds tedious even if I do have Earth Varitas and Barbaccia (I actually have 2 but I don't think I would level up both of them for this).

With that extra money I could 7* someone else. Orlandu is tempting but I haven't even enhanced him yet.

Generally if you aren't running Orlandeau or Lightning, or even Dark Fina you can chuck 1-2 full kings into a unit depending on what you got at most.

She now comes with 250% DH out if the box after enhancements and Sparky.

The TDH meta isn't what she's going for at all here. Just regular DH with 2k attack. I haven't gotten mine that far yet, best I've done is 1730, though I did roll Prishe recently so that'll be a jump eventually. Won't do it now since hey, more 7*.

Due to True Shot's pregnant pause she wouldn't have anyway.

Well after finding my tanks can survive one of the harder hitting challenges out there, I decided to brave the Chamber of Arms for the first time since it came out, and try to take on Sheratan again. It was almost laughably easy compared to when I first tried to take it on. About the only thing that went wrong was VoE couldn't take even one round of attacks aimed at him after his Provoke, and I couldn't get the 100% Earth Resist up on Turn 2, but it wasn't needed, because Barbie and Lexa completely decimated Sheratan's HP. They took Sheratan to 56% on Turn 2, I hit the threshold on Turn 3, they took out both fruits and brought Sheratan to 12% on Turn 4, and Turn 5 got the kill with the Esper summon.

I still have no idea how people are building their 4* base tanks to have taken these assaults (I remember trying with VoE, Mystea, and WoL as my tanks and watching all of them fall like flies), but kudos to you all for being able to beat this thing months ago when it came out. Now to look into beating the other ones.

Its all TMRs and other gear. My WoL is my go to cover tank, well was, for a LONG time because i never got a basch. 100% evasion builds where you can afford them work wonders for trials where the boss does a lot of physical damage.

Full evasion, and or 100+% resistance with planning. Use equipment and materia I had at hand.

I for example only used Emperor to beat down Sheratan. Can't recall the tanks.

All ten man up to this point will be much easier with 7*s.

Got him up to 100% while keeping all of the Wally goodness intact, so the only way hell be taking earth damage is when Golem drops his imperil. I can put Bushido Freedom on him, but then he wont be able to cover or provoke while removing the imperil (made that mistake myself the first time I went in on this one!)

Isn't Earth Veritas supposed to be way better for the Golem fight? And one of golem's earth attacks is magic so Wilhelm can't cover it, I think?

Poured everything I had into FFVIII, and not a single rainbow. Not terribly surprising, it was only 55 tickets. Did do the first step-up just for the free moogle though. I guess that'll teach me, the guaranteed rainbow would've been the better draw. And I'm out of story Lapis, so...ah well.

Huh...you can buy three max level King Minituars for 20k Mog Currecy apiece. Well, more reason to farm. And I guess with this unsuccessful run of pulls, I'm going to make SBDF my first 7*. I may still do Orlandeau, but he's much lower priority for me than having another good Tornado chainer.

It is what it is. I got my hopes up, but I knew my chances of getting even one unit were slim, much less a dupe so that they'd actually be useable. I'm still going to pour all the tickets into the banner just to see what I get, but I'm not sure what I'll do as far as saving or spending goes after this. Saving everything for a shot at one unit can get you it in a few tickets, or not at all, so part of me would just rather spend as I go and take what I can get. Hell, it's worked for me better than pulling on this banner. XD

I'm still having fun, even if I've apparently allowed the power creep to catch up so much that the trials that screwed me before are now laughably easy. It's still a very solid game at its core, it just relies way too much on a gacha that's not generous enough. Coupling that with GL being way stingier with gifts than JP, and the salt is real. @The_Mana_Sword and me can sit in the corner together, lamenting our favorite banners refusing to cough up units we'd love to have. Watch, I'll probably get an off-banner Rena and he'll nab a Rinoa, because RNG loves to mess with people like that.

So is the trial boss worth going for a second time if I missed the LB kill? I really, really need to bring the right unit for that sort of mission, because that's twice in the span of three days that I screwed up LB kill missions by not bringing the right units. I'm leaning towards no, because the accessory doesn't look that impressive, but I could be wrong.

Decided to 7* Ramza and Orlandeau. I had enough Moogles on standby to get Orlandeau to 98.5% Trust, so I'll have his TMR soon enough. I also awoke Divine Retribution to +2, so at least he'll have some use as a friend unit once I get him equipped and leveled.

I'll probably use Ramza a ton too as my support for the time being.

I don't have any more gil (less than 2mil), so I can't awaken Lightning or Dark Fina yet, but Dark Fina might be next so I can go with a team of:
Basch
Ayaka
Ramza
A2 (Aigaion Arm)
Dark Fina

And have Orlandeau on a different squad for chaining necessities and whoever might need Light Imperil.
I don't have D. Fina's TMR though, so that's gonna be a bit gimpy for a while once she does get 7*d.

I normally do as well, I've generally only gone deep on the limited banners.

This is definitely by biggest failure on that part though. I got Randi from SoM, both 2B and A2 from Nier, and jack shit from this one, despite pulling at least equal amounts on all three of them.

Help me figure out how to hit exactly 300% Attack with my Orlandeau.

I only have Black Lion Crest +1 right now, but will get it to +2 as soon as I get the Tech Alcrysts, so I am missing 40% from there currently, so I would need some help figuring out optimization for both before and after.

I am currently using:
Excalibur + Virtuous Contract
Thunder God's Plan (50% + 30%)
Awesome Swordsman (15% + 15%)
Adventurer V (40%)
...which I think totals 220% with the 30% and 40% passives from Orlandeau.

Additional things I have include:
Ring of Lucii
Katana Mastery
Large Sword Mastery
Sworn Six's Pride - Dark
Various Attack +30% and lower Materia (including possibly Hill Digger if I just need 10% and want HP)
Dual Wields (if I want to find the 30% elsewhere than Awesome Swordsman)
Possibly other things I might be over looking

Alright, made my 7* SBDF, but man is mine behind thanks to not being potted. And I'm not terribly sure it's worth it to give her any pots. Probably not long-term, and I don't have that many to begin with, but we'll see. Might depend on how often we get 7* batches, and I'm pretty sure based on my units she was the only mage I could 7* at all anyway. So maybe worth considering anyway? I dunno.

I do know I spent way, way too long fusing cactuars this evening. And I haven't done any raid summons in about 5 days because I didn't have the space either. Also beginning to question if that's worthwhile. King Minituars yeah. Gigantuars not as sure.

And I'm really tempted to 6* a Zell just because. He looks horribly complicated and not at all worth using, but the way his skills build up look pretty fun as a "Why not?" kind of unit.

And suddenly hoarding those coins for so long feels worth it. I happened to look down at the screen right as a 10% All Moogle showed up. That must be where all my FFVIII banner luck went.

So is anyone else feeling like friend units are just too unreliable at the moment? With chaining still borked for the raid, some people are trying to keep OHKO units up. Others have bonus units for FFVIII (though not enough, IMO). And others still just have whatever random 7* (myself at the moment), or just whatever unit they want. I can't seem to build a unit able to solo the SeeD Exam on LGD, nor do I really have the ability to one-shot the raid boss, so I'm far too reliant on friend units at the moment to make any real solo gains for both of these events.

@Fiyun Barbie no, but I took at look at my list and I can 7* Rem. So that's two 7* Tornado chainers in my box. Made my decision easier to put my Mag pots into Fina since I was actually pretty well caught up on them anyway, and I wouldn't be putting anyone else on the backburner to do so.

And boy, they really decided to make Zell a "Fun but completely unusable unit." Still totally worth putting some cactuars in just because he's amusing, but I can't imagine any situation where he'd actually be useable. If I find a copy built up on my friend list, I'll probably take him for a spin just to see the damage he can actually do, but I can barely get him past 800 ATK unpotted. Meh.

You can sub the materia for any 40% atk ones that you got.

I highly recommend you take the time to make an account on the FFBE equip site and set it all up. It makes your life so much easier when it comes to equipping your units since it uses the items you actually have and the espers you have and how you have them set up with levels and what you spent the points on, etc.

I may experiment with that myself, although I'd have to use a different finisher. I think I tried my own tests but wound up giving up because I had no way to restore MP and keep my units alive. And that's okay, I'd rather deal with the lower bonus rate and have guaranteed runs of LGD than take a risk with solo units that may fail me the mission and cost 40 NRG.

Wont have his STMR, so hes not going to be completely maxed, but should be around 1400 ATK or so.

I went ahead and 7*s my Orlandu, and with all four abiltiy BiS I couldnt even break 1100 without his TMR or a sword over 120.
