Finally got to magicites.

Living flame first due to tidus being OP. What are good things to have other than 2 healers, and an OK with LMR and pUSB. Would rydia for enfeeble be a good bet?

Rydia wouldn't work super well with OK pUSB. Tidus should easily cap without any imperil (if that's what you meant). also you shouldn't need 2 healers, especially for liquid flame, where all you need is death resist accessories. what i usually do is 2 damagers, entruster, buffer, healer.

None of my healers are amazing. Just got Selphie's USB which is almost my default my top relic.

Could grab bartz' water bsb which seems good. Also have yuffie's USB.

Bartz' water bsb isn't that great actually.

You should legend dive Shelke or Morrow since they're the best entrusters due to their instant cast 3 at the start. Onion Knight also works as a DPS since he can use the water ninja skills.

They don't need soul breaks since they'll be sending that meter to other characters. I don't have soul breaks for either of them but I still legend dived them and I don't regret it because of how useful they've been.

Acolyte IX got me Rydia BSB (dupe) and FFVIII RoP got me Zell SSB and Edea LM. Eh.

Finally beat my first Magicite! Two of them actually:

Liquid Flame (35sec): Tidus CSB/BSB1, Bartz USB, Ramza Shout/Entrust, Yuffie Glint, Rosa USB. I made the mistake of using Tidus BSB1 to get en-water, forgetting that I have his LM that has him start with en-water. I can probably get sub-30 with this party by switching my BSB1 cast to his OSB, getting some helpful magicites, and getting fewer heals from the self-Firaga. For the record, Bartz/Yuffie are full-dived, Tidus/Ramza/Rosa are half-dived.

Sealion (sub-30): Krile CSB, OK BSB, Bartz USB, Sabin USB, Rosa USB. Pretty straightforward fight here, I don't even have Krile or Sabin half-dived (OK is full-dived though).

Fenrir is a different story since I don't have an ice chain and Bartz can't help. I did a feeler run with Squall USB/OSB, Snow BSB, Ayame BSB/OSB, Rinoa BSB2, Rosa USB and only got him just under half HP, no slows either. Granted, I only have Squall/Rosa even half-dived here, plus I forgot to egg Snow to LV99 before the fight, but I also think Rinoa was a major weak point. Had her in to slot haste but ended up not needing it, but her DPS really wasn't much. I'm thinking my next move is to swap Rinoa out for either Noel (USB with imperil ice, plus he can use protectga to free up Rosa for either haste or wrath) or Ramza (another hastega source plus entruster). Getting Squall BSB2 from the gem draw is an option as well.

But now that I have magicites, what should I be doing as far as leveling/inheriting? Should I be trying to have multiple copies of the good 3* magicites all at LV99? I really should have taken some notes when this was talked about in the last topic.

You shouldn't worry about inheriting magicite until you have *4 magicite. The 3* magicite you should focus on are ones with blinks, imperils, Enkidu and Unicorn. Darkmare if you have Edge Doppleganger.

If this is her 2nd USB she should be an auto-include. If it's her first one she's still a good option... you definitely want a ninja and OK has to use Mako Might so he can't carry the 40% ninja damage RM.

If you're using Tidus' chain OK's gonna do good damage even without a damage boost RM, and he's going to build the chain fast thanks to his decreasing cast times.

That's the first one. Freewheeling Gauntlet is the super strong one. That one is more of a utility break-- one I kinda wish I had for non-water bosses but not something that makes her a carry on its own.

Okay so now is the time I think I can finally start thinking about my team. Frankly I am pretty sure I have some really nice stuff I just need to figure out how to use it, and I need to update my spreadsheet of relics I made for myself.

For example I feel like my wind team is really great because I have Zack's BSB, USB, and CSB along with Cloud's USB (if he has 2, the OP meta one) and BSB as well as a lot of Zidane stuff and other misc stuff to round that out. That feels like a really amazing wind team.

I also have a shit ton of holy stuff but no CSB.

Also still trying to figure out what BSB is best for me to get. I feel like a healing one might be good because frankly I don't like any of my current heal options as I apparently never draw on those (or never get them, I know I have tried to get stuff)

Squall BSB2 (Axis Blade) is probably the best choice from the Wonder Draw since it's USB level damage and one of the best non-elemental options as well, which will be valuable for fest Ultima Weapon since he's 90% resistant to all elements.

To be fair, being a ninja alone basically makes her viable. An instant cast 8 water hits + 40% heal is just gravy.

Edit: yeah, OK can do a good job at chain building... but he can also be a good entruster which frees up a 3rd DPS slot.

I'm planning on getting Squall BSB2 and then legend dive him. Thinking of swapping Snow with OK to get another entruster going, that might be enough. Only fight so far where someone died (three in fact)

Beat Golem (36sec): Cloud USB/BSB2, Zack CSB, OK BSB, Alphinaud BSB, Rosa USB. Maybe swapping Alph with an entruster could get this down to 30?

It's a good stat stick but the Xezat needs his LMR to be viable in high level stuff. He will cap fast with snowspell strike under it.
