Looks like improving my magicite deck was all I needed to get my Isgebind time down to a reliable sub 30. So that takes some of the sting out of my draw for Locke/Edgar stuff going 1/11 with Celes burst.

I guess it would be prudent to spend every remaining keystone on Ice Crystals from this point till they get rid of the reward but I dunno. There is the issue of what I'll want to do when I run out of Magicite to level. But that'll be a while out I guess.

Alright guys so I'm looking through the banners

I feel like I don't actually want to draw on any of the banners between now and the next fest. Meaning I can feasibly empty my Mythril reserves here between this fest and this damn Cecil banner.

Is there anything obvious I'm missing here? Seems like all the upcoming realm banners are pretty weak. I mean between this and the next fest we're going to get like... how many mythril? It's like 200 just from dailies, and then all the events. Probably 300-350 mythril at least, right?

I dunno, I really like a bunch of the upcoming banners.

If you don't have any dupes then Fest 1 blows this banner away in power level. Just comparing the top prizes: TGC USB is roughly comparable to DK Cecil's USB, Tyro's wall is better than P Cecil's, Gen 2 chains are better than AOSBs, and then fest also has a fifth 6* with Elarra's USB while this banner has nothing that compares.

The other fest banners look good too, then I'm looking ahead to Zidane's USB2 and the V banner with Galuf's Earth chain 150, and Bartz's AOSB and USB2.

But then the whole game is about nostalgia so if you Cecil is your favorite, nothing else can really match that.

Well I hate using Tyro so this is really the only viable Wall I can ever get unless Y'shtola gets a better one eventually. It's not like I'm a huge (Paladin) Cecil fan but I wouldn't mind using him in that role when needed. Orlandu I definitely don't want to make a habit of drawing for either-- if I got some of his stuff by accident I'd use him for FFT stuff but that would be it.

But yeah I'm not going to blow everything on this. I'm going to go for this coming fest a little too. But I think the realm banners between this fest and the next one are kinda snoozers though is sorta what I was getting at. Like the V Banner looks okay but I'd much rather go for the V Banner after the next fest that has Galuf Earth Chain and Gilgamesh Fire Chain on the same banner.

I kinda want to pull for Paladin Cecil's wall since you can do some fun stuff with Marche but fest is more important in the long run. I need those gen 2 chains and/or Orlandeau/Elarra USB to sub30 Siren and Hades and probably save up for the Bartz AOSB banner to get the tools to beat Quetzalcoatl and load up on Fast Act 10 magicite.

pretty much the only way i could see myself pulling on this is if i save 100+ mythril for banner 5, get extremely lucky, and end up with 50+ mythril not wanting to pull again. even then i kinda doubt it; i like Seph more, he has Cloud USB1 on his banner, which i lack, and PCecil doesn't seem very good. it'd basically be for torment 2.0, and the Palom/Barb/DCecil banner next event seems better for that.

Seph banner actually is compelling. Not super interested in the non-Seph stuff on it, but my ideal Darkness attack squad is actually Dark Knight Cecil Seph and Seymour. Might not quite empty myself here. I guess we'll see how kind the fest is first.

Ew, Seymour. In general I don't like villains but Seymour is especially disgusting. My ideal darkness squad is Shadow and TG Cid, with Garland or Golbez as the less-objectionable chainers.

IMO Barthandelus is just bland and boring. I don't like him but I don't hate him either.

Can't comment on Vayne because I didn't finish XII (I think I played about 15 hours). I just got Zodiac Age and started playing so maybe I'll finish this time (high speed mode should help a lot with the issues I had the first time).

I'm the guy whose favorite FFT character is Algus so villain effectiveness definitely matters to me. There are some forms of creepiness that I won't abide but Seymour was creepy in a respectable way. Third best FFX character behind Tidus and Rikku.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Ramza is my main man and his LMR is extremely good. But Quina's trance+USB makes her an amazing buffer/entruster. At a minimum she's going to be super useful in Crystal Tower and future IX torment.

Quina also got a quick cast 3 LMR in the recent FF9 event in Japan, and her BSB2 has Astra. We're probably going to be forced to use her anyway because the FF9 torment is Meltigemini.

Rinoa's always been wishy washy between earth and ice. Her USB2 and Aether are also earth element.

Rinoa just gets tons of relics because they made her two elements. her AOSB is ice+earth, she gets two brave USBs, one each for ice and earth. she has four LMRs, including one each for starting with en-ice and en-earth. granted, most of that stuff still isn't out in global.
