Wait so I don't have to watch born to watch the new DxD?

Cuz I asked for a synopsis last time and forgot to read back cuz I was busy with stuff. Felt bad in case somebody did give me a synopsis.

But if it's retconned I feel less scared about jumping back in cuz I don't remember a whole lot for this series other than the thought of "why are these hot girls all jumping on this guy?" I get it for Asia though cuz well he's helped her out quite a bit. Others seem circumstantial at best

@legendarylemur There's a few characters that are introduced that might not get re-introduced, as well as an extremely important scene for Issei when he obtains the Welsh Dragon Balance Breaker. Other than that though, afaik, no.

this was definitely one of the best bonuses of a reread for me. once you know it, it's actually everywhere: when he's happy he barely talks about the rain, when things are going poorly the rain gets super loud, and there's even a rain meter on the textbox itself

I think the thing that made me feel like a fool the most was that I didn't expect any Torta pretending to be Arie shenanigans until "Arie" shows up at his door and she went into that talk about how he could always tell them apart. I mean, it makes total sense since you never see them together.

I still have a way to go in al fine but I like the way it showed how Torta has to play a sort of double-life and it's stressful and painful for her, especially because the way Chris interacts with her and the way her interacts with Arie would be more noticeable.

Probably because it's so bleh. I read like 2 really good isekais in a row and then read Death March and really didn't appreciate how boring it could get. Honestly, I expected it to be kinda like this, where people get bored by the non-event. The WN gets pretty offensive sometimes where they'd go literally like 6 long chapters that could be summed up as nothing.

But hating it is a bit strong. Maybe if it's because it's so inoffensive and uninteresting they might hate it I guess. But Smartphone Isekai is offensive. Death March is at least a story

I mean yeah it was "bleh" but as far as isekais go, the MC wasn't an insufferable mess, he was devoid of actual human emotions, sure, but think that's mostly because of the low budget? the manga he actually has more range of emotions than "poker face" 24/7 and some scenes actually have more depth to them.

it looked pretty, but i don't think i've seen an anime by silver link that hasn't, and the fanservice was almost non existent until the last episode where it was just jokes mostly with the homunculus girl.

The music was bland, all around, i think there was only one memorable song and that was on ep 10 where the elf girl prays for the dead rat men that sacrificed themselves to save her, but that's it.

and overall, all the characters were likeable, sure mc was devoid of any sort of normal human emotion for the context he's currently in but the rest of the cast managed to bring that up a bit.

I'd read the LN but i don't want to ruin the notion i have of this that its actually an episodic isekai with no deeper plot than overpowered dude hiding his powers travels as a merchant with a band of mischievous lolis and automatas

Do you guys ever have moments where you see a pic/gif from an anime you watched years ago, and just seeing that one single pic/gif gives you a slight urge to watch that anime again? I've had that exact thing happen to me four times, with four different gifs from four different anime, within the past week alone.






It can be fun, but it's also annoying because I just don't have the time to re-watch anything when there's so much left on my list to watch for the first time.

Always feel like rewatching K-ON when I see it. And I've watched it 5 times so I'll probably do it again soon... just have to decide on trying sub or sticking with the dub

Forgot to say i also watched the persona 5 ep, its pretty freaking good, i think its the same VA's, same soundtrack, even the same singer for the ED, and it even had the same quirky map travel animation from the game lol.

And weirdly enough, i thought that them giving MC a name and a voice would make it weird, but he barely talks on the first ep and everything seems to flow exactly like the main events of the game minus the side stuff, which i guess kinda suck in its own way because iirc the social link stuff is pretty nice.

On that subject, I'm currently re-playing Pokemon Emerald with a "Moemon" ROM hack that turns the Pokemon into cute anime girl versions of themselves.

Huh... so I came across a novel adaptation of Gundam Build Fighters. I wouldn't be so surprised if it's a traditional Gundam series, but this one is really unexpected.

Pretty interesting that it's written in first-person, considering that the other Gundam novels I've read are all in third-person. It does keep the story fresh though, and reading from Reiji's perspective really feels different when you already know what's he up to.
