The festival boost is real for some huh.

Anyway I just realized I don't have a clear choice for the pre-selected set anymore. I got Lightning's Burst making the XIII set, my previous choice, pointless... so like... uhh, what do I get now?

FF1 - Shield is dupe but one I don't mind having. FF1 is a scarce realm for synergy.
FF2 - Think that burst for Firion is decent? Minwu SSB is +10 MND on my favorite most used healer.
FF3 - I have the burst but having a 6* Wind Boost isn't bad I guess. Most of my wind sources can't or don't want to use spears though. SSB seems good.
FF7 - Burst is the only one I don't have, but it's a good burst on a character I like on a Dark Boost Katana.
FF8 - This is still the "cool but impractical" choice I'm strangely tempted about. Having none of these items helps. The SSB is ironically probably the most useful item here.
FF14 - First fire boost rod (have Vivi's staff and Terra's sword already though)
FF15 - Have almost no synergy in this realm. I also have Noctis's LMR so this might have some use?

well getting my first CSB for Shantotto made me go back to Magicite and try again, and well... Lightning USB + Shantotto CSB was pretty much instant win.

Black Dragon? Do you mean Shadow Dragon, the 3* Dark magicite?

He starts with a fixed sequence of actions. It goes, in this order:
> weak physical
> MT gravity move
> weak physical
> automatic KO on lowest HP% party member (at 10.50 seconds)
> weak physical
> MT piercing move
> weak physical
> automatic KO on lowest HP% party member (at 21.00 seconds)

Doing about 120k damage to Shadow Dragon before the end of this sequence will make him abort the remainder. After that he just throws out tons of MT damage, as is normal for a Magicite. So, there are two main approaches: you can undo both KOs, or you can skip the second one. (It's also possible to skip the first one, but if you've got a strong enough party to do that, why ask for help?)

With Reraise, Raise, or a SB with a similar effect, you can use the first twenty seconds of the fight to build up SB meter, then begin the battle in earnest after the second Black Fang connects. Shadow Dragon will hit hard and fast after Black Fang #2, so take advantage of his consistent timing to start charging your revival effect of choice (or healing, if you picked Reraise) and Elarra's Fabula Guardian in advance. Don't forget that you'll need to recast Protect and apply Shell, too. Obviously, this is not a sub-30 plan, but I use it (with Lenna's Reraise SB) for a reliable sub-60.

Failing that, I believe the 'conventional' strategy is to treat Shadow Dragon as a four-man fight plus a designated decoy. Like, you could have a healer, a buffer/Entruster, two DPS characters, and someone whose job is to use Protect first, Entrust second, and then die. (The DPS characters would hit the sucker with a few Lifesiphons to make sure Shadow Dragon takes the bait.)

If you want to help on CT I'm all ears.

I usually just ignore those for when they come back around when I can finally have enough relics to create 4 independent teams.

I mean Yunalesca and Edea aren't too hard. Just do whatever your standard party is for them and you should be fine.

Cloud of Darkness is mostly about being able to stay alive late. Backload your damage hard or run two healers with good instacast ultras and spam em for the last 20% of her life or so and you should be okay. Looking at your ultras it seems like backloading is the better option. Maybe just run Cloud Zack Zidane Onion Relm or something? I dunno. You have a better idea of your options than I do.

Yunalesca i didn't do anything unusual at all, though i guess you could drawtaliate if the single target dispels are that big of a deal. have you attempted to fight them at all?

CoD i'm probably not the best one to give advice. the dispel really messed me up. i guess the most basic thing to point out would be that Riku and Sora are both really good here with en-element+AOSB combos. i don't know which element glint you have for Sora but you could also maybe use a chain of that element if it's ice or lightning to really seal the endgame.

I have 3 wishes and Crabclaw, which are the ice and Lightning glints.

Alright I've narrowed it down to FF2, FF7, FF8 and for the Burst + Overflow selection.

That Seph burst is supposed to actually be decent IIRC, right? Like if I had that in theory I could bring Seph as a decent contributor to FF7 Realm fights at least right?

Have you Legend Dived Bartz yet? I used him in all those fights you had trouble with. With his USB and TGM he's enough DPS to make short work of them, you can use Tidus's chain with him for Yunalesca and Zack's chain with Snowspell strikes on Edea and CoD.

OK in better most of the time thanks to his crit boost, Ramza might more useful in CoD for his meter building entrust command to refresh haste. I still used OK against CoD with Ripping Blast since it's short cast with his cast time reduction he builds another bar quick to refresh haste and contributes to the chain.

I've heard Shinryu sucks, yes....

I mean, admittedly, what were people expecting, it's fucking Shinryu.... Only Omega is synonymous with Super Bosses.

Type-0 Dragon isn't too bad if you have some source of instant cast and patience/awareness of his timing when he exposes his core or whatever.

If you knock him down you can pile the damage high really fast while he's on the ground since he stays down for a reasonable amount of time but there's a really fine window to actually knock him down. If you knock him down though you can easily hit him for like 70% life before he gets up if you've got some decent damage dealers. Doing damage while he's not knocked down is a huge pain though.

The main annoyance with Shinryu is because the fight can drag she can catch you off guard when wall and/or shellga wear off. Fujin is extremely good for this fight, she can use ninja magic while Shinryu is in flight mode, then meltdowns when Shinryu is down. Her BSB's magic breaks help a ton with mitigation especially since Shinryu's most dangerous attacks are magic based.

Vaan's a good option too but you probably want to save him for the Chaos fight.

Alright going with the FFVII set I guess. Despite having 2/3 of the items it seems like the best option. Generic Darkness Boost Katana is good and I like Seph. Also getting his OSB weapon to + will make it a beastly weapon in FFVII if nothing else.

If anyone wants to help me beat the Dragons in the next 3 hours greatly appreciated, but you don't need to if you don't want to. I left work early today to beat Edea, Yunalesca and Cloud. And I did.

I can be happy with that.

At least try to get the *5 Bravery motes from the crystal tower if you can, we're finally getting Morrow and having 2 IC3 entrusters that can really help in magicite.

Rushing through the crystal tower as fast as I can. Beat Shinryu, managed to get a bunch of his health down when he fell. Ravana too is down. Chaos and Odin left. Will do the two lesser CoD battles.

I'm late on this but Ravana and Odin should have been easy, especially compared to the other two.

Eternal Crystals had the extremely rare job motes and 5* motes. Spellblade motes are especially valuable with new 6* spellblades in the future.

Test of knowledge only had orbs so it's not a big loss.

Beat the Hydra magicite.

Just golem left who i can't seem to finish off. I don't have enough Wind damage to kill him before a minute and then he goes crazy mode.

Golem's interruptions can mess that up that turtle strategy. Did you make two Raging storms? Ninja magic can make short work of Golem if honed enough.

A wind DPS (preferably magic like Alhpinaud BSB) Physical is possible though, but it need top tiers usbs like Bartz or Vaan and Zack's chain. Magic blink helps a ton as well so you don't get interrupted by quake.

If you have the orbs you can actually sub30 golem with just Allegro con Moto or Onion Knight mUSB and 4 raging storms.

Ixion is pissing me off. Maybe it's just because my earth gear sucks but he seems like by far the hardest of the 4* Magicite (not including Siren and Hades since I haven't unlocked them).

Most people are going the no healer route against Ixion with and entruster + Edge SSB2 and just blinking/Last Stand through his attacks, don't need to worry about wall/protectga and Edge refreshes haste. Darkmare's low health damage boost also works wonders here.

Anyone want to say how to beat Ozma (3rd and fourth) if it's even possible with 2 days to go?

Last renewal it was every event that had a an ultimate level boss (except the first Mobius, but that might be because it was a collection event.) it will probably be the same.

Ozma is third and fourth are around *3 and 4* magicite level, if you can't beat 4* magicite you probably don't stand a chance against final Ozma.

That said Ozma will return next fest with the same rewards so if you can try your luck next fest.

How many forms does he have?

I got to where he couldn't be hit by physical attacks anymore (mother fucker!!!) and that's when I couldn't go any longer.

He has 5 phases, you're supposed to use Dr. Mog's RW on the physical/magic immunity phase to remove the immunity. It really helps to look at guide to see what's each phase does in detail.
