Yeah, I'm just saying, if you're angry at the push of all the random effects in Mage, I would say direct that anger at the fact that they created another random effect generator in the spellstone (even if it's only good in a deck that is at best Tier 3 at the moment), than at the fact that they made a card that will mostly just let Mages Fireblast one more thing than they otherwise would have.

so yes Leyline Manipulator may not generate any random cards, but it does reward the random generation playstyle which is far too prevalent in Mage and is getting a HUGE push for some reason despite being a mechanic that is loathed by many.

Random generation is getting pushed because of quest mage, mostly. One of the goals in this set is probably to start covering key cards that will rotate out next expansion, and mage loses Book/Tome/Courier from their quest triggers. Coming out this set also means it will rotate out at the same time as the quest.

I actually undercut things. If tome goes away with the spellstone they are going to need to run elementals (of which these are) and they can run two. I think it would reduce the cost of the upgraded spellstones and it's been confirmed to reduce the cost of the upgraded pyroses.

But if they get pyroblast from glyph and play two of these it is 4 mana. And all downhill from there.

well it's not so much that but the fact that it's got great stats and an insane optimal impact

I never said they were the best players. I said they were skilled players and that their skill has translated to a high winrate. I'm not the person making absolute statements here, YOU are. For the record, there are 20 million hearthstone players.

if skill doesn't matter AT ALL then these three descriptions would be awarded to totally random players:

"guy with highest tournament winrate of year X"
"guy who won the world championship in year X"
"guy with the highest winrate in consecutive year X+1"

if they were awarded to totally random players out of the entire 20 million base of players, the odds of all three being the same person are literally inconceivably small. you are mathematically wrong beyond a shadow of a doubt.

I'm 5-0 with this hastily put together list. An early Freezing Trap is devastating. The opponent generally can't come back from it considering how aggressive the deck is. Kindly Grandmother into Devilsaur Egg has been great as well.

I was running Razorleafs with Faceless Manipulators and Venture Cos. Don't have Watchers or Shamblers.

Also, I played a Devilsaur Egg and it broke, giving me a 5/5. But it also stayed on the board long enough for my guy to eat both halves of it and become a 5/8 at the end of turn for some reason. I don't know what the hell happened there.

I seems like if you play and deathrattle by itself it will double itself up for some reason. If you have any other minions on your side it does it normally.

Well I'm thinking more after you finish the quest? Getting out double Lich King / Ysera seems like a pretty easy win.
