A thought.

You know how MTG has their X Edition sets which are pretty much just reprints of really popular cards over the years? What would you guys think of Blizzard making an expansion which consists of popular cards and really solid all around well balanced cards from previous sets?

This seems super crazy with doppelgangster.

3 6/4 minions and when each die you get a re-equip. And if they get AOEd down, you still get one weapon plus two other 4/2 buffs.

This would be kinda nice but I feel like it'll reach the point where it'll just feel like Classic Set 2.0.

I can see it work more similar to what MTG does for their Masters sets though where it's not an expansion and just a "bonus set". Would be more value than opening regular sets and it would probably make them more money too.

Hunter one is easy to upgrade and pure value.

Priest one is hard to upgrade, but even in base form it's going straight into Big Priest (and that deck is like 25 spells anyway so watch out)

Rogue one is lmao. Class is getting hosed this xpac and I'm okay with that.

Hunter is pretty strong, gives Secret Hunter a midgame comeback mechanic theyve been sorely lacking

Priest is pretty strong in big, might be too slow to take up more than say, 1 slot in that though

Rogue... isnt very good, but I wouldnt say theyre getting hosed this expansion, some of their other cards seem very good

Rogue almost always gets underwhelming cards. Dont it worry rogue will get a meta deck later into the release. Its almost always among the last classes to get their good deck

I'm a bit skeptical about this one, I guess if it comes to combos it slows them down considerably, but... I can't think of that many rogue decks atm that would find use for it

plus individually secrets are iffy, it's when they get supported by tutors (Mad Scientist/Arcanologist/Hydrologist) that they become strong

80g quest not available. Someone was on but I was trying to build a Druid deck for a quest and they were gone by the time I was done.

Win three games as Druid quest, almost as bad as Warrior for me. Built an aggro deck just to try and finish it as quick as possible, don't know what the exact decklist is supposed to look like. But I added that 1/6 taunt that buffs itself and Knife Juggler as well because why not. Oh, and Soul of the Forest because it seemed like fun.

Damn thing went 3-0 in about seven minutes. Makes up for the fact that I went 2-5 today with decks I actually want to play.

Mark of the Lotus is why I'm so confused on that Branching Paths card. Was it really so OP they couldn't make the middle path "give your minions +1/+1"? It's just a potential double Mark of the Lotus with flexibility. For 4x the mana. And yet the real card is only half as good as that!

The difference, really, is the flexibility of choosing

Its kinda why POTW isnt power creeped. Theres times where the Panther is better, even if its not that common

Also +2/+2 happens to be a 7 mana Druid spell in standard (Wispers of the Old Gods)

MotL doesn't get much talk for some reason, but it's easily top 5 busted cards of the Year of the Mammoth.

Like VI said, when its existence (along with MoY) makes snowflipper a T1 card, you know something has gone horribly wrong.

Why do people think the rogue spellstone is bad? I would gladly slot that into my jade rogue deck, and wipe my opponent's board (except in cases of Spreading Plague). I mean, it's Assassinate, but random...but you can make it hit up to 3, at which point, how random is it really? And no, playing 6 deathrattle minions is really not that hard. Ask anyone who's fiddled with the priest quest, and then look at the deathrattles rogue has at their disposal.

Sonya Shadowblade is crazy. Kobold Illusionist gets more token minions. Minstrel is insane for draw. Fal'dorei Strider's going to be great in decks with a lot of draw. I don't know if the secrets will see play, but I see a place for all three of them. You're going to see a lot of rogue this expansion. It's already one of the top three decks, and it's got some excellent toys. Besides priest, which other class are we even that hyped about?

Druid: Branching Paths is being severely underrated. Ixlid is going to be scary AF if you can't answer it, but it's a 5 mana 2/4. Not much else showing.
Hunter: Might be interesting. I see some potential building blocks to play with, but Kathrena definitely encourages a new type of deck, which hunter probably can't support well.
Mage: Spelljoust, armor from spells, lots more random spam, and a weapon that draws 3 cards per turn. Thank god Flamewaker is out of standard. (Legendary minion unrevealed, granted.)
Paladin: Mostly an emphasis on small, wide boards. I don't think that will end well. Lynessa is interesting, but can't support a deck on her own.
Priest: lol at the legendary, but Duskbreaker and Psychic Scream carry.
Shaman: Grumble could be great or terrible. Windshear is gimmicky. No idea what to think on Unstable Evolution.
Warlock: Some good zoo cards in the common slot. The rest is pretty much trash.
Warrior: They're trying to make control warrior a thing again, but I'm not yet convinced.

Played a lot more constructed than arena this month, and hit rank 5 for the first time, mostly with Jade Druid. Rank 6 was a huge grind, but otherwise it didn't take too much actual time. I guess I might push for Legend next month if I can't get a better handle on the Arena meta after the expansion hits.
