Unless you are training for a marathon, cardio isn't going to get rid of stomach fat. 30 minutes of cardio is really only going to burn off a midday snack.

Count your calories and make sure you burn more then you consume.

if you eat one meal a day and you're still gaining weight you need to lessen the amount of calories that is in your one meal.

Ok, there's basically two groups of fat - subcutaneous (ur chubs) and visceral (ur organs). Belly fat is either displaced pockets of fat on the muscle (it needs to be mixed with the muscle in order to metabolize) in which case the only answer is time. Visceral fat, which is the baaad fat, is what's attached to all your organs, but because your guts are basically a zillion folds, the same amount of fat is layered upon itself to distend your stomach. If you are fat around pretty much ONLY your midsection, that's this kinda fat. To get rid of this kind you just have to word HARDER

This is for -Komaiko54- as well:

The secret to losing weight (and to help lose stomach fat) is to NOT starve yourself. Eating once a day isn't helping you any, since your body is purposely storing away fat since it doesn't know when it is going to get food again.

If you eat say, 1500 calories a day in two meals...break it down into four. So basically eat more during the day, but smaller portions/less calories.

Your stomach will get smaller over time (since you are not putting as much food in there during each eating session).

Exercise often (3-5 days a week) + intermittent fasting + Atkins diet

Low effort and youll lose fat and feel better overall

Better yet, just limit carbs to 30g a day and eat healthier fats (olive oil, avocado, fat from fish) or lean meats with spices . No reason to limit calories with this as long as youre not doing ~2500 a day or trying to get a six pack (which requires net loss in Calories on top of exercising often, very tough to pull off)

You can still shove food in your mouth, highly recommend doing it with broccoli as it has little calories for how much it fills you up

Dont eat rice or bread much better alternatives to either (cauliflower or lettuce)

Unless the fat has gone adipose. While spot training won't target that fat for burning, it will mix fats back into the muscles

There's a lot of misinformation in this topic. I'm a personal trainer, so the primary function of my job is basically to help people lose weight and become more healthy. I see topics like this all the time on social boards, but I usually don't address them because of the massive amount of misinformation that always gets posted, it takes a ton of time to sort through it all, and I usually just decide it's not worth the time. So in this instance, I'll just ask you to ignore everything else posted in this thread thus far, just to save both of us a lot of time and headaches.

I'll say a few things to start. First thing I have are a few questions for you. Have you been losing weight? Have you been keeping track of measurements such as your waist size and body weight regularly? Where did you start and where are you at now? Please describe your current diet and exercise program, briefly.

Once you tell me these things I think there will be a better basis to make suggestions and determine where you might be going wrong in your approach. Thanks!

so much so that eating healthy is considered a "lifestyle change" instead of your diet.

exercise can help with weight loss if you're putting on muscle mass. you will burn more calories per day resting the more muscle mass you have. the thing with that though is that in order to maintain said muscle you need to increase your calories so you'd need to really adjust your diet to compensate your TDEE.

if you've taken a "nutrition class" you'd know a nutritionist isn't licensed and a dietitian is. nutritionists can say whatever they want and sell you snake oil as long as they aren't giving medical advice.
