Also remember that Kelly Remington was merge boot in Worlds Apart but was not on the jury.

And Julie McGee was not on the jury in SJDS (Jeff said in an interview that her quit didn't matter and that if they had gone to tribal council the person voted out that night would not have been on the jury)

I don't know if I can actually trust Jeff on that, but a Day 18 juror would have been unprecedented.

This reminds me of this thing that was posted in edgic that was like "Nobody has ever won Survivor... until Richard did." "A woman has never won... until Tina." And they were able to do that entirely down the list of winners, I think either Cochran or Tyson was the most recent one when that was done.

Also the Ryan hate is really overblown. I can see not liking him but the internet including here is treating him like an all-time bottom 5 which is far from the case.

i like this season a pretty good amount

That was 100% the right move for Ryan, seeing as Ali outright told Chrissy she didn't trust him.

Ali didn't really play any of this well. Ryan did not look good when Ali was confronting him, either, but she should have said "Great move, guys" and started to sharpen her knife behind everyone's backs. I think she still has some maturing to do with her emotions.

From a viewing standpoint, of course I'd rather have Ali over JP. I'm merely talking from a strategic standpoint here. I mean, Ryan is a tired character archetype and all, but he's at least thinking strategically and I can respect that much.

I have to admit when I saw the end result of the episode, I had to laugh a bit thinking "Inviso's going to be so pissed about this" because of his huge hate-on for Ryan, who...isn't really nearly as bad as some people make him out to be at all. Keeping JP was an all around better move completely, and probably what I would've done. He's more of a low key, loyal player, and he's going to be a much bigger shield than somebody like Ali could ever be. Plus, there's enough "big guys" left that it's not hard to imagine one of them could beat him down the line. Ryan doesn't have to be the one to beat him in a challenge, it's the same if anybody does it, essentially.

I wasn't necessarily referring to just strategy. It was more of an overall thing.

I don't particularly care for Ali. As OUR Ryan (less annoying than Survivor's...slightly ;P) said, she's kinda bland for someone who was booted pre-merge and got a potential winner's edit. Honestly, I think JP's doofy cluelessness is more enjoyable as a whole than Ali has been this season.

That being said, Ryan is still obnoxious as fuck, and I hate how much the season revolves around him when he keeps being like "I can't believe everyone wants to work with me! Can't everyone see I'm untrustworthy?" Shut the fuck up and stop playing a character you little douchebag.
