i'm not watching yet (yankees!) but i'm assuming somebody went to exile and got an idol? that's kinda bullshit, especially since they already get to skip a TC

Shocked it was Alan and not Ashley. Devon is closer to Ashley! Now he can play dumb, but... Ashley has to remind Devon of girls he's friends with. Their bond is natural, both being beach bums.

Advantages have to go. Jessica found it by random draw after being sorted into the winning tribe by random draw. Survivor has become a game more about luck than skill. Taking out advantages that are found randomly would change that. This includes idol clues in napkins, but not idols in general.

Cole is a tool. He had no reason to backstab Jessica like that. His mouth has NO FILTER and he's going to damn himself. Would not surprise me if she recruited Ben to replace him. Dr. Mike proved he could be trusted by reporting to Jessica IMMEDIATELY when Lauren explained knowledge of the advantage.

Jessica must've picked Devon because she wanted a 2-2 tie so Joe would play his idol. If Joe had played incorrectly... what would happen? They revote, it's 1-1 then, but... does Ashley go home when Joe and Alan become safe? Or does Ashley decide who goes in the deliberation phase by herself? Or does Devon get to chime in in that circumstance? This is why in a four-person scenario, it's fire-making. Paschal got a raw deal with that, but... has the rule changed since then because of him?

Ryan is great. He immediately got a new ally on his new tribe. He now has majority. He also can be in a F6 with Devon, Ben, Chrissy, Ashley, and Ali. I would LOVE that final 6. All high-caliber players.

I'm not really liking this season. Advantages tainting gameplay, too many people blending into the background of the edit, and it just feels so... uninspired.

Ryan and Chrissy were already my top two picks based on the fact that they were getting likable, complex edits.... and that music that they played during their scene together REALLY caught my ear. I'm now very very confident that the winner is one of the two.

Nah he couldn't have played his idol. Is there even still a revote? In Game Changers they eliminated the revote and went straight to rocks.

They have to "deliberate" (see: the final 6 in Cambodia) and only draw rocks if they can't agree. Devon probably doesn't get a say since he didn't get to vote. Ashley acquiesces to getting rid of Alan so she doesn't have to draw a rock.

Anyone else really enjoying this season so far? After how terrible Game Changers was this has been a breath of fresh air. Last two episodes have been great.

I didn't think Game Changers was bad. I think people subconsciously dislike it because all of the big personalities and fan favorites went early and all the people that were disliked preseason or questionable picks went far. In a vacuum I enjoyed it even though I didn't like the winner.
