Alright, finally got my pattern down for this raid.

Mercedes - Sea King Chop all day, every day.
Soleil - Shooting Dance (Cannon isn't enhanced yet), Schwert Dance, repeat.
Marie - Lovely Guard, Love You All, defend, repeat.
WoL - Arms Eraser, Light is With Us, A060: P Shield, repeat.
Tidus - Blitz Mania first turn, Quick Hit chains afterwards if defense is down, otherwise defend.

Blitz Mania is more there as a just in case the fight goes long because I screw up. If I get a perfect Quick Hit Chain, the boss goes down on Turn 2/4. If I don't, it goes down Turn 3/5.

Is anyone else not at all impressed with the raid gacha? No Gil Snapper Families, no magicite. It's like they're intentionally enticing people to not play so that those of us that will can get halfway decent rankings.

FunNY for me, the only problem I have with it is that it's not a quick run, but I haven't got anyone dying yet.

Played with D.Fina, but Fry and friend fry are better both as DPS for spirit and Chainers for my Luneth for defense.

Other than that, WoL breaks so no one takes less than about 700 per aoe and Rikku w/ Hyper Null-All makes it so each of the physical hits that WoL tanks with the Light is with Us is hitting double, maybe triple digits. Then just Mechanical Heart the damage off and heAL the rest of the team off with Tillith.

beat it in one go, it's long but not hard. he can be broken so it doesn't take much, just is annoying. done with Dark Fina leads, back to Rem. figured her or Ace would be the best ones to use and since killers are effective here, well... yeah.

i beat him in 3 turns with ease but that's my limit so far. because of that speed i'll try Ace out a bit too instead of Rem. her Dagger Boomerang is crazy strong and maybe if i get it chained right with dual Fryevia or dual A2 she'd be able to get it in 2 but i doubt it.

Got my latest TMR, Aqua Blade. Pretty good for Tidus, and it frees up another Dual Wield. My current TMR team is now Rikku / Rikku / 9S / Weirei / Marie

it's pretty easy.

turn 1 - buff and debuff. World Destroyer or Chaos Grenade works well enough in a pinch.
turn 2 - elemental buff that includes Dark. you have Zarg, this is his turn 2, have the rest of your DPS murder him.
turn 3 - finish murdering him.

just be sure you reapply buffs, debuffs, and elemental res and he's nothing.
i'm going back to Rem as Ace just wasn't doing it as consistently as she was. i do wonder if i should have him over Fryevia though. not sure how hybrid damage is dealt with against this guy.

Yeah I'm just doing PRO too. I've managed to bring ELT down to 3-6 turns depending on the buddy I bring and which weakness he starts with, but I can just mash repeat twice to beat PRO for over half the points with like 1/10 the effort.

Helps that I have no particular want for the higher point tier rewards this time-- last couple of times I had a lot of limit bursts to level and expeditions weren't as established a thing so the King Burst Pot was a lot more appealing to shoot for.

FYI, if you need Gil, the raid coins sell for 50 apiece. If there's nothing you want from the summon just stockpile the coins and sell them

Guess my first pulls were just unlucky then. Either that or you and I just keep having vastly different experiences with the raid as a whole. :P

I'm finally understanding why Soleil was such a big deal with her enhancements finally, much like how I came around to Marie after trying her out. It's really interesting how early on I gravitated towards loving the fact that I had an amazing (mostly) chainer, but now I'm much more thrilled that I have so many good support units.

Out of curiosity, is everyone else feeling a bit off on the rankings? I only have 589k in points, but it claims that puts me at rank 2665. There's no way that's right.

Im around 780k points, and was rank 1800 as of an hour or so ago.

I'm not having any issues.

I have Marie use Love You All first turn
WoL uses Arms eraser
Tidus 1 uses Blitz Mania
Tidus 2 uses Get pumped
Fryevia and Friend Fryevia use Frost Flower Blitz

Turn 2
Marie does that AoE status immunity ability
WoL does light is with us
Tidus' use Quick Hit
Fryevia's use Frost Flower Blitz

Turn 3
Marie and WoL guard
Repeat for others

If there's a turn 4, I reapply Arms Eraser and repeat with Tidus' Fry. Haven't hit turn 5 yet

I've been getting on average around 100k gil in snappers per 100 summon

Selling the coins straight up gives you 500k, but I dunno, I think I'll just do the summons. I like making multiple sets of recipe gear to gear up expedition parties too.

Finally feel like I'm starting to get the units that everyone else has had forever. Got a Kefka from the free summon, and a Xon from the daily.

Also, just curious what do people have for unit, equipment, and friend slots? I'm considering spending some lapis to up both again, as I'm sitting at 350, 150, and 60 for each respectively. Mostly I'm wondering about the equipment, since now that I know why putting equipment on my units didn't show an increased success rate, and I'm likely going to need more slots. I've got 11k in lapis right now, so I'm not too worried about spending some for things that provide more permanent gains than blowing it on pulls.

I'm gonna be honest this seems to be a recurring theme as last time I took an extended hiatus it was during a raid too-- these raid events are kinda the worst thing ever and kill the enthusiasm for the game for me.

Not saying I'm going to take a hiatus, but it is curious.

Free dailies are only trash blues and Setzer's, that's been my experience so far, based on something like 45 draws so far.

The daily 250 though, that's where I get my useful units, like General Leo.

I envy you there, I've got one gold (Setzer #7) from free dailies. Everything else has been a trash blue.
